I grabbed an AT-AT, Snowspeeder and TIE Advanced for my son from Santa.  These are pretty cool.  A bit bigger than the Titanium, IIRC.  They have the three I listed, as well as a Speeder Bike, and the vehicles in this gift set, one of which (Wedge's X-Wing) is exclusive to the set.  The Falcon and Star Destroyer retail for $20 each so this is a decent bargain.

The other thing to remember is Disney/Marvel still own all the non-movie rights to the characters.  If people are still going to buy X-Men, F4, and Spiderman comics, it would only cost Marvel money to not put them out.
...and toys, t-shirts, mugs, and other associated chotchkies...

I'm sure that Disney via Marvel gets some cut of the pie when Fox or Sony releases a Marvel film, even if it isn't officially under the Marvel Studios banner.

I grabbed one yesterday morning.  I think this will go from hard-to-find to pegwarmer quick.  My store had a full case of 8, and I was there at 12 and got the first one.  There are many other stores in a 10mi radius, and this was the only one that showed any on the website, so it would have been very easy to get for anyone interested.

Someone did say it was a risky plan.

I do think that DC's whole lineup is one or two bombs away from jeopardy though.

Marvel as a brand is now closely associated with quality.  Aside from Batman, DC is very hit-or-miss.  I hope they take the same care with their films that Marvel has shown, but their track record does not work in their favor.

I think that Marvel went...  IM was a success...  Let's build a basic framework to inter-relate these next films we have on the docket culminating in The Avengers (Phase 1).  Then for Phase 2, they got a little more ambitious, and said lets plant seeds for phase 2 AND phase 3.  The success of GotG is a direct result of the strength that Feige has built up into the Marvel brand name.

I have a sinking feeling (and I hope I'm wrong) that DC will stumble over itself trying for that big paycheck without building up to it.

Not sure if this is news, but I have been seeing these figs at Targets and WalMarts, usually near the trading card sections they keep near the registers.

In the comics, the government required people with superpowers to register.  Half the heroes were in favor.  Half were opposed.  And they battled across various books.  This was the arc where Spidey took off his mask.

Heh, this would be the shortest movie ever then. Everybody knows Tony Stark is Iron Man, Captain America has his own Smithsonian exhibit, and didn't Black Widow release all of SHIELD's information online?
I thought the exact same thing.  However, it does play into the themes of personal freedom that were the core of CA:TWS.

This also make the idea of Spidey appearing in the MCU make more sense.

I got a GD'd speck of dust in my eye when Rick got Judith back in his arms.

This episode was excellent.  This was a huge screw you to the same critics of every season (It starts slow, they stay in one place too long, etc, etc.)

I also agree that Conan was a great guest on TD.  He didn't stick out, which is high praise when you're sharing the couch with Nicotero and Gimple who are always great.

Instead of screen swipes, we are going to get a very large blinding lens flare right in the middle of the screen.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I assumed that one of the things Disney saw when purchasing the property were the dollars being left on the table with regards to an OOT release.
