My guess is the three that haven't been shown belong to ANH, ESB, and either a re-run of ROTS or some other EU type deal, because if I remember right, Hasbro said each film except for AOTC and TPM would get a wave this year. Could be wrong, though. That said my definite wishes:

Jayson debunked TPM as in a Q&A with Yakface they confirmed TPM is scrapped for the year (though a wave was planned, so that's cool).
Anyway, here's my lists... Just what I'd hope for the most, maybe my top 5 or 6 or so figures for each wave...
-ANH... SA Fleet Trooper (Obviously), SA Wedge Antilles, Death Squad Commander, Bom Vimdin, WED Droid, Tarkin Resculpt.
-ESB... SA Hoth Rebel Soldier (white uniform resculpt), SA Hoth Leia, SA Hoth Luke, SA Hoth Pilot Luke, SA Bespin Guard, SA Jeremy Bulloch Imp. Officer.
-ROTJ... We saw.
-TPM... Not happening.

No, thirty figures in all the waves. Thirty waves would mean like 150-200 figures in a year.

Yeah - I think that ROTS is represented by the 2008 TAC Wave 1.
There are only four Legacy Collection waves coming in 2008, so my guess is:
Wave 1 - ROTJ - 8 figures
Wave 2 - Clone Wars - 8 figures
Wave 3 - ESB - 6 figures
Wave 4 - ANH - 8 figures
I am also not surprised that any possible TPM wave was pushed back to 2009 - it's the 10th anniversary of Episode 1 next year, so I wouldn't be surprised to see quite a few things centered around EP1, perhaps even a vintage style line with EP1 characters. It's been too long since 10 year old Anakin was available as part of the toy line.

I really do want a SA Jar-Jar, that muppet has really grown on me over the years because he is so hated.
I have to admit that TPM characters are usually pretty far down my list of figures I'd like to see made, but lately I've found myself wanting a few as well. Seeing things like the Evolutions Qui-Gon, Maul, Jango, and the nicely done ROTS figures (Evo Anakin, ROTS Pilot Obi, etc.), a lot of those older TPM figures seem like they are ready for re-dos. I'd like to see a new Jar Jar, a new Obi-Wan (which I think Hasbro has said is coming in the next couple years), and some others. I'm sure it will be awhile before we get a new "little Anakin", but you never know.

He's nowhere near the top of my wishlist, not even for TPM, but he's on it somewhere, and I'd like to see him someday.

ANH - new Rebel Fleet Trooper, new Grand Moff Tarkin, new Owen Lars, Wiosely, Tonnika Sisters (not happening)
ESB - new Bespin Guard (two skin color/head variants), new Hoth Rebel Trooper, new Ugnaught 2-pk, new Hoth Leia, new Hoth Luke, new Bespin Han, new Zuckuss
ROTJ - not happening, but would like to see a new Gamorrean Guard, new Emperor, new Ree Yees, new Royal Guard, new Wicket, new Ackbar (heck this might be a decent vintage wave if they ever make those again)

I'm sorry, I just got a big chuckle out of that statement, Robo! This mentality is part of the reason I stopped buying anything in Star Wars that I truly dislike. To spend hard-earned money on something you hate...
I'm not going to preach about this, but I just like to say that you don't have to accept something into your own personal "canon" or whatever just because somebody says you should- yes, even Lucas himself!
Anyway, I hope for a filled ESB wave that encompasses both Hoth and Bespin, and has a great BAF droid like a re-scaled ESB 2-1B of the size similar to the recent ROTS one.

Touche! Not to get off on a side topic here, but I'm totally in line with this kind of thinking. When people complain about aspects of the Expanded Universe or whatever, they just accept it begrudgingly. The great thing about Star Wars is there is so many different takes and stories that you can put together a universe all for yourself. That's why to me, Anakin Skywalker does not have a padawan during the Clone Wars and Darth Vader does not take on an apprentice so soon after ROTS - neither situation to me meshes with what has been previously established and is being shoehorned in for the sake of telling one small story within an entire saga. So I'll overlook these aspects, enjoy the rest of the story and not let it effect the bigger saga. Ok side rant over :)

There are so many EP1 characters that need to be redone. Senator Palpatine, Obi-Wan, Pame Naberrie, Tarpels, Jar-Jar, Panacka, Naboo royal soldier & guard, Adi-Gallia, Gungan soldier among others.
I really want to phase out my old ones, they are getting to a level of POTF2 outdatedness. I think they put EP1 to rest long enough. I am surprised I am saying this, but I hope to see a nice chunk of EP1 figures and vehicles get some much deserved attention next year. A reissue of the Naboo fighter weathered from EP2 would be a welcomed repaint in my book.
I really just want a good Han Bespin above all else but I would settle for a Tarpels.

I for one would love that. I am one of those few Star Wars fans that actually likes TPM and I do not mind 10 year old Anakin OR Jar Jar Binks at all.

There are some TPM figs that hold up very well (Watto comes to mind) and some that just don't (3-PO is the worst offender). I would love to see a TPM wave that looks something like this:

I thought E1 3PO held up arather nice with the depth of the sculpting, actually... Could stand an articulation upgrade now that I see what they did with IG-88, but I thought he was ok. :-\ Watto I agree on too, but again if they could upgrade his poseability I'd take a new one... Be cool if his tool on his belt was removable also.
I'd say there's a ton of figures I wanted resculpted though from E1... The Naboo Guard and Soldier both need resculpts, Panaka, Battle Padme, Jar Jar, Obi-Wan, Tarpals, Gungan Warrior (nice figure, needs more articulation), battledroids (always)... Lots of E1 figures need redone at this point. I think Obi will top a lot of lists, with Panaka and Padme close behind.

According to the Q and A update from 4 inches.de (thanks Matt), it sounds like one of the other Legacy waves this fall will be a ROTS theme (again):
As we know Hasbro had planned to release a Stass Allie figure within the first 2008 basic figure wave. It seems that this figure has been withdrawn at short time. What can you tell us about that figure? Is it a new sculpt figure? When will she be released, if ever? As a figure mold should already exist is it possible to get a picture of it? (4-".de, 02/27/08)
The idea was to update Stass Allie with a nice quality articulation model and a great sculpt. However, the sculpt didn't turn out as we expected so we went back to the drawing board and pulled the figure until we could get her in again. We will be getting a new Stass (who looks great!) into the line-up in the EpIII-themed wave of the Legacy Collection this Fall.
So, I guess we're looking at a ROTJ, Clone Wars, and ROTS wave (so far) for the Legacy Collection this year. Looks like it could be a pretty light year for OT collectors.

That's what I was hoping as well. If we go by the "30 figures this year" from Hasbro's presentation info on the Legacy line, along with the fact we know the first 16 figures of the line, and that there will be 8 figure (2 astros) and 6 figure (protocol) makeups of the waves - I guess we'll have one more 8 figure wave, and a 6 figure wave to finish out the year - one of which will be ROTS themed. I really hope the other remaining wave is from an OT movie.
We already have seen Hasbro say there won't be a TPM wave until 2009, and we now know that there is a ESB wave in 2009 (Willrow!), so I would think the last wave is between AOTC and ANH, more likely ANH, but we'll see.

ROTS wave, after we got one this year already? Hmmm... I like ROTS a lot, and I think there's a lot of room for that film to get new stuff yet, but I really wasn't expecting another wave. Makes sense since it ties to the CW so well.
I really am hoping we see a new Rebel Trooper of some type this year. Gotta get either RFT or Hoth out there.

I agree totally. Its kind of sad to think that characters like the Naboo Soldier, Coruscant Speeder Pilot (a nice figure), and EU stuff have nice, super articulated figures before the Rebel soldiers of the Original Trilogy. Not saying that the other stuff isn't nice (I'm surprised at how nice the Mandalore figure from the Fett Evo set is, even though I know nothing about him/it), but I'd rather see the SA Rebels before much to all of it.

Wow. Hasbro really likes their ROTS. The only major thing I want out of that movie they haven't done is a Senate Duel Sidious and if there isn't one in this wave, I will be stunned.

Technically, they haven't done a clean 41st Elite from the Coruscant Landing Platform yet. Yeah, I know they did the Clone Commander and it can be easily modified to be a regular trooper, but I'd much rather see it as a non-RH figure without the excessive dirt and grime.

Agreed, Grievous and his bodyguard desperately need resculpts. I also think Aayla needs a resculpt, but that's a long shot. I can't stand the ROTS figure.

Ok, from this week's Q and A at SSG (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/index.php?categoryid=13&p2_articleid=1320):
SSG: The Hasbro SW Toy Fair press release has The Legacy Collection clocking in at 30 basic figures. Back in October, you told us "For 2008, we are going to take the classic total down by about one wave. So from the current 60 figures this year, expect around 53 figures or so." The '08 TAC line has 15 figures total across its 2 waves, so according to your info, adding another 30 basic figures will give us a total of just 45 figures, a whole wave smaller than the 53-ish you originally stated. Has an '08 wave been pushed back out of the year, or are there more figures to be expected in the TLC line than the press release stated?
Hasbro: The answer is that yes, a wave has moved due to sculpting delays, but no the number will not come down to less than 50 figures for 2008. Here's the score: you know about the 15 from TAC in Spring, along with the 16 that were shown between Waves 1 and 2 of Legacy Collection (Droid Factory), bringing the total to 31 "seen" so far. In addition, another 24 figures are on schedule, including a redeco wave which was created to replace the delayed wave (there will now be 8 unique Droid factory figures for the Fall figures, four Astro droids in Waves 1 & 3 and 4 Protocol droids for the subsequent waves). These figures will be spaced out from 7/26 launch until the end of the year, or about 6-8 per month through the Fall if all goes according to the firmed up schedule.
Ok, from reading this, it sounds like there are 24 Legacy figures left after the ones we've already seen (ROTJ and CW). I'm guessing that maybe the "waves 1 and 3" quote was mis-typed, since we know that waves 1 and 2 both have the "2 astro-droid build-a-droid" set up. They go on to say that there will be four protocol droids in the subsequent waves. Since they mentioned at Toy Fair that the 6 figure waves will come with a proto droid, I guess that means we have four waves of 6 figures each coming after the initial two waves.
Anyways, going by that, we know that one wave is ROTS-based, and we now know that one of these will be a repaint wave. I guess, if this count is correct, that we've got two more waves on the way this year. We know that TPM has been pushed to 2009 (last we heard anyways), and with Willrow coming next year, its possible that ESB might be in 2009 as well. Personally, I'm really hoping that both of these waves will be OT-based, since we'll be getting plenty of Clone Wars stuff, in addition to the CW and ROTS waves, and the ROTS stuff we've already gotten. It just seems a little light on the OT, and I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more.

Kind of continuing on my post above, after the new rumors (http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/New_Rumor_List_For_The_Legacy_Collection_113180.asp) we have gotten over the weekend, we might know the lineup for the rest of the year if everything holds true. In total, it sort of looks like this (from rumors/Hasbro Q and A's):
Legacy Wave 1: ROTJ themed w/R4-D6, R7-Z0 (confirmed)
Legacy Wave 2: Clone Wars themed w/R7-T1, R4-J1 (confirmed)
Legacy Wave 3: ANH themed w/U-3PO (rumored)
Legacy Wave 4: ESB themed w/E-3PO (rumored)
Legacy Wave 5: ROTS themed w/G-3PO (ROTS wave is confirmed I believe)
Legacy Wave 6: Unknown theme/Repaint w/protocol droid (repaint wave is confirmed at some point, and going by figure counts, this would likely be a protocol droid wave as well)
Overall, I'm happier now that we might be getting waves for each of the OT movies. I like the prequels fine too, and I'm excited for Clone Wars, but I'm an OT-fan at heart and I've kind of missed that lately. ROTS still gets two waves, but if it gets us some much needed figures (like all new/scaled Grievous, red robes Palps, etc.) that's fine with me. Overall it doesn't look too bad though. Its nice to get some new rumors, because I'm guessing we won't get anything "official" out of Hasbro until Comic Con now - and that's a long wait.

Based on Hasbro's answer (http://www.jedidefender.com/newspro/fullnews.cgi?newsid1206060291,41391,) to one of our questions, it sounds like 2008 will look like this:
- 30AC RotS
- 30AC TFU
- Legacy RotJ
- Legacy "old" CW
- Legacy repaints
- Legacy RotS (again)
- Legacy ANH
Looks like the rumored ESB wave is getting bumped to 2009.
I wonder if that wave is Willrow's wave or if we're going to end up getting two ESB waves in 2009 because of the bump?

This is a little bit of a bummer, but I do think it means there will be (could be I guess the way things move around) 2 ESB waves in '09. Only because they said in the Q/A that they had just started the work on Willrow. There's been a ESB wave planned for '08 since at least last year; apparently it's been moved.

Well, hopefully the EPIV wave will be worth it since after the ROTJ wave, I will be out of Star Wars collecting for about 6 months...

I'm a little bit bummed about this too, as I was looking forward to some more OT-goodness later this year. Unless the repaint wave holds some surprises, we're going to have quite a wait/drought of OT figures for awhile. The ROTJ wave will hit on 7/26, and we might not see that ANH wave until December (if that's the order). I like the CW and prequel stuff as well, but I wish we had a little more of a mix this year, especially with the big focus on prequel characters/vehicles/etc. with the Clone Wars push. At least we still have more Evolutions packs, as well as rumored UBPs :). I just miss the OT stuff. I keep telling myself that if I could limit myself to OT-only, it sure would be a cheap year the way it looks.
