I don't seem to recall a Darth Mal in the movies.  ;)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Question for the married folks
« on: May 28, 2003, 11:18 PM »
Let's see. I came home today from work with a couple new Deluxe figs and the TRU 4-pack I found during lunch and low and behold, my wife is napping on the couch. Do I wake her and show her the new stuff, or do I as quietly as possible, take the bags up to the room where my collection is at.  ;)  You guessed it, upstairs they went with my wife none the wiser.  :o

Most stuff she does end up knowing about but there is the occassional thing that gets snuck past her. And oh, let's not forget the times where I "bend" the truth as far as how much I just spent on the stuff I walk in with. She, fortunately for me, doesn't have any clue as to pricing, so a $75 bag of goodies can easily be passed off as only spending $40.  ;D

Well, I'm only registered at 3 sites. Here, RS and GH. I'll still check and read the other forums but here is the only one I actively post at.

Thanks again everyone.  :)

And Matt and Brent. Neither of you are to blame solely, because I blame the both of you.  :P  See if I ever share a story of me breaking something again.  ::) ;D

Saga '02-'04 / Re: How Long Will Hasbro Make 3 3/4"
« on: May 21, 2003, 03:45 PM »
I guess it depends on just how much Hasbro wants to milk it. You gotta think they'll for sure go 2-3 yrs past Ep3. But then you have things like the 25 yr Anniversary of ROTJ in 2008, 10 yr for Ep1 in 2009, 10 yr for Ep2 in 2012 and 10 yr for Ep3 in 2015. So if they choose to put out a line to commemorate those dates, then they could very well stretch it out until the end of their license.

Sorry your fan broke.

Well, for the record, it was just a regular light fixture, not a fan. But as a result of it, we now have a ceiling fan in there. Probably explains why my wife didn't seem to care too much when I broke the light in the first place. She knew this was her chance to get that fan in there.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?
« on: May 21, 2003, 01:33 PM »
Rather than release a separate 3 pack of each of the 5 colors, maybe they should release a 3 pack that consists of 1-green, 1-blue and 1-red or something to that effect.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes guys.  :)

Happy birthday punk, hope you enjoy the ceiling fan you got as an early present ;)

And thank you Brent for bringing that up.  ::)

Guess I should explain now, though it's the abbreviated version of the story. It involves the MR  Anakin's FX saber, a glass ceiling light fixture in our bedroom and a high speed collision. The saber made out without a scratch, and the light fixture, well, let's just say it's gone to a better place now.  ;D  So with that out of the picture, that just opened up the door for the ceiling fan my wife has been wanting in there for several months. But no, just because I had to go buy it and pay for it yesterday, doesn't make it a birthday gift to myself.  :P

Well, I can now finally add to this thread as I just got my MOTDS in the mail today, courtesy of Brent who really did well in hooking me up with one. I think it's a great looking set. Extremely pleased I am.  ;D

Gotta give a BIG thanks to Brent for hooking me up with a very nice carded MOTDS 2-pack. Twas a great surprise when he told me he had acquired one for the sole purpose of trading it to me.  :o  Thanks again bud!!  ;D

Of course Jim must be enjoying things now that his Braves have totally turned it on by going 27-5 over their last 32.   :o  Will "America's Team" ever go away...???   ::)  Please?   :'(

Yeah, 27-5. Not too shabby I gotta say.  8) And just think, this is while Maddux is sitting with a 5+ ERA and Paul Byrd on the DL. Glavine must be kicking himself in the a$$ for leaving.  ::) Looks like it will be his first year since 90 of not making the playoffs.

Other Toy Lines / Re: What else do you collect?
« on: May 20, 2003, 04:38 PM »
Yep, the baseball figures suck, as far as demand is concerned. I too am stuck with 2 baseball variants. But the good thing about collecting the baseball figs, those are real easy to find. There is only 1 out of all the series to date that I couldn't find in a store. And I can thank Brent for getting me that one.  ;D  That Hinske fig still has not shown up around here anywhere.

For the most part, I am out about my collection. My family knows about it and have seen it all displayed in one of our rooms at home. Most of my closer relatives know about it too, and many of them have seen the room also. They just stand there in the room with that expression of disbelief on their faces as they shake there heads and mutter "Oh..my...god". But they like it so it's all good.

Co-workers, that's a different story. No one here knows anything about it. I don't go around bringing it up in conversation but since no one has asked me anything about my hobbies either, I can't exactly be accused of hiding it or lieing about it either. But if asked, I'd "probably" tell them.  ;)

The prices are already in effect in stores too. I hit a TRU and Target at lunch and both those systems were already marked down to $179.99. GC was still at $149.99 however.  :(
