Target has always been really weird with clearancing items from my experience. In the past four years that I have lived near a Target, there have been several things that wound up in their clearance aisle that were never stocked in the regular action figure aisle.
The Clone Wars deluxe figures/three packs, for example, were never stocked at my local Target, but as soon as the post-Xmas clearances began, they had to have thrown about four cases worth into the clearance aisle for 5 bucks apiece (the remnants, mostly Droideka launchers, went down as far as 2 something). Same deal with the green A-Wing and 12" Leia on Speeder Bike (the latter of which I paid 12 bucks and change for): never stocked on regular shelves, but were still on the clearance aisle.
So, yeah, it doesn't surprise me that some of the Target Clones have begun to make their way out of the back room (also known as "Fort Knox") onto the shelves finally for cheap prices. If this actually happens around here, I'll definitely grab a few for the people on the board who missed out on it.
The weirdest clearance aisle finds happened about two months ago at a local Wal-Mart, though. In the space of a week, the following suddenly showed up on the shelves (all have since disappeared):
-Unleashed Han Solo
-Unleashed Chewbacca
-12" Ewoks 2-pack
-12" Jawas 2-pack
-Saga Republic Gunship
-Saga Ayy Vida figure
-Saga Lama Su figure
I just stood and shook my head at them pulling all this out in the midst of the ROTS onslaught.
