Is it possible to plug a flash drive into a 360 and back up your downloaded content and saved games?

That would be plenty good for me if I start running low on disk space - hell, if that's possible to do I should do it anyway.

?

Also, is anyone else here playing Oblivion at all?  I'm thinking about downloading the Shivering Isles expansion next week and was wondering if anyone else is thinking about trying it out.

No, but there's a 512MB MU coming out that should be able to hold every saved game you have on the HDD and then some.  You can also download anything you've paid for on Xbox Live again for free. It's all tied to your gamertag, so even if you go to your friend's house and log in to their box with your account...you can still download it again free.  Of course, when you leave there, the content you downloaded onto their box goes back to being "trial" or whatever.   Found that out the first time I tried to "share" an arcade game with a friend.  ;)

The Elite doesn't really do it for me, as a current Pro owner I'm not interested in buying a more expensive box....but if I didn't have one yet, that's the one I get.   It is kind of cool that everything's black (I like that better than the white) and it also comes with the HDMI cable packed inside the box....which is cool.

Apparently the Blue is sold out everywhere, so I went ahead and pre-ordered it direct from GG.
I guess that's the first good thing those 50 dollars have bought me so far.

SORRY - accidentally edited your post with mine... new post coming up in a second.

You want me to fly you to Seattle?  Are you sure this isn't some Dateline NBC trick?   ;D

Well if I was 18 and under, then I would be suspicious!! Don't worry, I'm not to catch a predator!! I'm out to catch a free trip!! ;D

My point was that I have no idea how old you are.  YOu could be a 40 year old dude for all I know.   ;D
But no, I'm not in the habit of flying random friends from the internet out to Seattle.  If you fly yourself out here, I'll be happy to show you the sights though.

We have a Comic Con coming up in a couple of weeks, the fun never stops here!

and I am hiding the little remote control in my right hand.

I'm glad you mentioned that, because I was pretty sure that you were playing with your junk under the table.

No, I was not pulling an Al Bundy (that's reserved for the couch).

Can we start a petition to STOP Josheee from posting pictures of himself??  ;D
Although that pic is very cool!  Somewhere atop the MGM Grand?

You're sick of me already?  Sigh.  :'(
Seriously though, very observant on the location....yes, that picture was taken on the balcony of the room my wife and I had at our wedding.  We were having the rehearsal dinner up there, so that's my nephew and my friend John sitting with me.  That's by far the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in and the view was amazing.  I had the shutter speed set a little slow on that image to make the hotels in the background light up a bit more.

Well if JoshEEE ever wants to fly me out to Seattle, I'd more than freely take a trip out there!! Then he could finally meet the one and only Lady Jaye!! Otherwise, guess one of those pics could be I!!!

And the second is a picture TAKEN BY Lady Jaye, so she couldn't possibly be in it.

I don't know about that, my friend.  Here's a picture of me from myspace page (I'm on the right). I took this picture myself. My camera was on a tripod and I am hiding the little remote control in my right hand.

So you see....it IS possible...and the conspiracy theories may continue!  ;D

Which allows us to do a side by side comparison...

What coincidences can we observe?

1. The hair parted down the middle is the first point of coincidence I notice.
2. With computer forensic enhancement the left subject has visible highlights in her hair similar to, but less pronounced than the subject on the right.
3. The chins are identical, as are the cheeks.
4. Both images indicate some level of eye brow plucking.
5. The subject on the right is more pale, consistent with time spent in Albany, New York.
6. The length and width of nose are approximately the same.
7. Both subjects wear their shirts unbuttoned in a similar manner.
8. The photo on the right is grainy, because it was taken in low light using a film camera and developed to PhotoCD.

More?

You are spending way too much time staring at these pictures man.
Besides, I didn't see LJ say that second picture was her.   Is that you, LJ?

Oi, this continues JoshEEE, SA Longhorn, and anyone else on my friends list, is that my space on mypsace???

In all seriousness...I will vouch that Lady Jaye does have a different myspace page than the one linked up there.  While it's freaky there's another GI Joe loving SW fan named Lady Jaye, I've been to her real page a couple of times and that's not it.  Hers always has neato backgrounds.  No pictures of her though.

I don't think the folks who solved the "World's Greatest Mystery" have ever tried to be secretive about it.  Heck, one of them was even chatting with you about it that night, as the events were unfolding, Josh.  Remember?  But really it was mostly just one person who solved that puzzle.  I was just along for the ride, and to offer my moral support throughout the project.

To be honest, my memory of that event is too fuzzy for me to pretend I remember it clearly.  I remember I was pretty excited at the time, but that's because it was a big deal back then.  I can't remember the threads or who was in them....only the resulting hilarity of lawsuits, name changings, etc, etc.

Either way...water WAY under the bridge.  Those were fun times.

Lady Jaye, your obsession with keeping anonimity is probably more than anything what's making people so determined to uncover your image or identity.  I mean, when you and GNT worry so much and get so offended when people post a picture of someone who might be you, it makes them think you all have something to hide.  My advice would be to just throw them a bone - a fake picture, name, or whatever.  As long as we believe that it's you, it might as well be, no?

I tend to agree.  I can't remember who the detectives were here that "Unmasked" GNT and Lady Jaye, but I think they did the community at large a service.  We were all curious.  I'm surprised you guys don't want to stand up and take a bow (although I can understand why you don't, because GNT would sue you and LJ would probably kill you).

I think the only reason anyone ever cared what GNT looked like is he was so obsessed with trying to keep himself this big huge mystery over there.  If he was just some random poster, that'd be fine...but this dude wanted to have ten million posts, his opinion in every topic....yet still be anonymous. He would refer to himself as a computer program, say he was many people...silly stuff like that.  He was a weird dude.  I get wanting privacy, but this dude didn't even want to tell anyone his first name until he became a moderator and HAD to.   So I get why people were curious.

The funniest part back then wasn't the picture itself (he's a normal enough guy)...it was that he went to such great lengths to deny that it was him.  The easiest way to diffuse the whole thing would have been to just post a real picture if that wasn't him, but he chose to threaten people with lawsuits, call for bannings and invent cousins with the same name. That's what made it so funny.  It's like "If that's not you, why do you care so much...and if it is...why do you care so much that people know now?"

Exact same thing with my pal Lady Jaye, here.  Her picture got posted, she freaked....but even though she denied it up and down, the truth is, once it was out there, the whole "mystery" sort of ended because everyone now had a name and a face to go with screen-name.   "LJ", to be honest with you, the funniest thing about that whole situation was you did the exact same thing as GNT with constant denials and claiming there's someone else in your town with the same exact name, etc, etc.   It had nothing to do with your actual name or your image.

"Person commonly known as Lady Jaye", I realize that these days you still prefer to keep BOTH your name and your face a "secret" (even from the people that already saw the pictures and already know your name).  I try to honor that request and not repeat the "name that shall not be spoken" anymore. I get that you want your privacy, and I think most people respect it publicly, but I still think it's really weird that you're so terrified that someone might relate to you as a real person instead of a cartoon character.  Some people here have "known" you for more than 6 years now....I mean....at one point is it time to stop being so afraid of them?  I think it's just human nature to want to know who you're talking to.  You know so much about so many people that you talk to....but you want to keep everything about you under wraps.  I'm sure you can understand why some people are a little curious.  Hell, until I saw your picture, I would have sworn up and down that you were a dude.

These days the mystery is gone. I know your name, but I still call you the cartoon name cause that's what you like. I've seen you picture (even though we all pretend that's not you)...but I don't repost the image or anything because I know it would piss you off.  I think that's the case with most people and that's why the curiousity isn't really there anymore.  Unless of course that's really not you, and then yeah....I'm still a little curious.  Feel free to end the "mystery" once and for all anytime you want to. ;)

I have it on good authority that that's not GNT at all.  It's some other guy named Greg.

Unless Greggers posts a real picture of himself, it will forever be Gregg.

Just like we have a picture of Lady Jaye.

That's NOT Lady Jaye.  I have that on good authority too.  ;)

If you're talking about the same guy I'm thinking of, TK 421 1/2...

I hate that guy.

   E...

Ditto.  Maybe if we all call him out consistently for his condescending replies, Phillip will get tired of seeing to many useless posts and ban him just to get it off his back.  Passive aggressiveness, baby!

Not likely. He'll probably get promoted to moderator.

So go ahead and believe that RS has pictures up first, always.  Continue on believing that back-stabbing, underhanded behaviors don't occur in this hobby and that everyone is a friendly competitor.

I was a little miffed a few months back when I exclusively posted the first image of the 12" Endor Trooper squad here in the JD forums and only a few minutes later the exact same image was photoshopped (with the trademark blue background) and splattered on the front page of RS.

Now I know images on the internet are free to everyone, but it would've been nice if JD or myself were credited for the image.

Wow, really? They photoshopped it?  Was there a JD watermark on it?
I'd love to see pics of that...I never noticed (but I do remember that squad photo on their front page).

i so want to figure this out, when i get home from work i am breaking out the calculator.

Don't be so anxious my young padawan, it's going to change the way you think about your collection. At least for awhile anyway. Sometimes I look at mine and think "Wow, I've spent enough to pay for a car".  These are TOYS.

Stuff like that.

Something tells me that's not the guy Jesse's talking about.  :)

John

Something tells me you're right.  But if you say his name three times, he's going to appear here and start a flame war.

In a hobby that has become so competitive, it's inevitable that there are going to be some sites that some people despise as some personalities clash; and there's some people that like all the sites and ignore spats between sites.  Personally, I like all the sites, and see some of the stuff that goes on and have heard things from staff from differnet sites about "who did this and who did that so screw them for eternity" - but I think it's way overdue that everyone consider past differnences as water under the bridge and move along, and keep the community fun.  I wish that would happen.

 :P

I agree with everything quoted above.
