Shadows of the Dark Side / Re: 2010 Disney Star Tours Box Set

Awesome.  I am the scummer that has been asking the questions about Ewok figures from the Ewok movies being made in the past few RS.com's QnA's.  So this makes me very happy about this new pack.  While I have never been to/seen this "Star Tours" thingy - I am betting this is where Teek will be placed - and I couldn't be happier!

I really have no interest in rebuying the released Delta/Omega squad members again.  Once was enough for me.  I guess I'd rather they give us new characters/colors if they crank out that mold again...  :-X

/agreed with this and what efranks said.

I probably wouldn't re-purchase these figures, but if there was going to be any chance of me rebuying them they would have to be super-articulated - swivel shoulders don't cut it.

in stock as of typing this.  I would think ordering it and paying for shipping sure beats "driving 30 minutes in a blinding rain storm to a TRU I have never visited before", and then assuming you are driving back the same distance through the same conditions.

I went to two different WM's today and saw 1 case of ROTS wave at one, and 2 cases of ROTS at the other.  While I was happy to see this I did have to wonder where the hell the ANH wave was (not to mention ROTJ but I had already seen plenty of that at Target).

I stopped at a Walmart today on my lunch break and I believe they had a new price of $74 on them

I ordered $150 in SW/GI Joe figures from toyrocket.com on the 7th.  All items were listed as "in stock".  I went to check on the status of my order since they were all in stock items and it hasn't shipped out yet, everything is listed as "in stock processing".

The Legacy Collection / atst
« on: November 9, 2009, 02:17 PM »
ahh - I haven't seen the advertisement yet.  I thought she meant the AT-ST was going to be in it, but perhaps I was mistaken and she meant the Dewback.

I too haven't seen these in the wild yet, but I did order a Dewback off Walmart.com

holy crap!  grats2u that got this for $15!

I had a similar instance when TRU had a 2 for $10 fig sale on Terminator Salvation figs.  They had the Terminator plane thingy included in the sale so I jumped on that deal.

Just an fyi - I have a friend that i went to high school with that is the toy dept manager at my local Super Walmart.  According to her these are going to be in a Walmart advertisement at some point.  I don't know if that means they are going to be on sale or not, but if she is correct in what she is telling me I would think that distribution on these is going to be okay since they are going to be featured in an advertisement.

I said this before in the Mail away Mon Cal Jedi thread (forget his name), but I think that many CW figures that do not have realistic counterparts (ie brand new characters from the CW toon) look pretty great and imo fit in with the rest of my realistic collection basically because I have nothing else to compare them to.

So far I have only bought Cad Bane - but I am debating getting Ashoka, Argyus, Rex, mon Cal jedi, Whorm Loathsom (sp?) and some of the droids because, again, to me they look fine because there is nothing else to compare them too.  They are a nice enough "hybrid" mix.

I went with the Bespin Freezing Chamber as well, but the others are fantastic too.

Same here.  I like them all, but that one is a level beyond the others IMO.  My second would have been Echo Base.

my thoughts exactly and I voted the same way.

I read somewhere that if you are going to use the hot glue method for tightening up a head socket the easy way to do it is coat the neck post in vasoline.  After doing that you put hot glue into the head and then put the two together - the vasoline barrier will keep the two seperate.

I think by doing it this way you may not need to worry about the joint gluing shut.

Yeah, everything about that sucks efranks and there is almost nothing you can do about it.  The one thing I think that you could do about it is buy the figures now to force the system to order yet another case and then return them at a later date.  Both Target and Walmart, in my area at least, have 90 day return policies - so you could return them in the thick of the Christmas season for parents to buy them (or if you go on a road trip return them to another store and let them be that stores burden  >:D ).

You can do this if you care that much and have the money to do so.  Should you have to?  HELL NO!

Yeah, he's the best they've done so far I think.  He's definitely the most cartoony, so maybe that's why.  I mind less and less the 'unrealistic' quality of some of these and like them for what they are.

thats funny because I almost feel the exact oppostie - maybe it is because he doesn't have a realistic counterpart.  I don't collect CW figures (I have only bought Bane), but this guy would be a welcome addition to my collection.

I do agree with the other posters - I think that this might be the best CW fig made.
