Revenge of the Sith / Re: Obi-Wan Starfighter Exclusive

Is it too early to call it a pegwarmer?

Maybe, but I believe it is not too early to call it a waste of time/money. >:(

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Recent Purchases
« on: May 26, 2005, 02:10 PM »
I picked up 2 SA clones this morning.  They were there tuesday and yesterday.  So this morning I decided to give them a good home.  It was my good deed of the day. ;)

Today was the 1st time I saw Darth Tater at retail (Darth Vader Mr Potato Head).  The thing is really funny looking ;D.  I found it so hilarious that I bought it.  It was 6.99.

I like the fact that it brings the AOTC chain.  I'm always for extra movie accessories that make dioramas even better.

Can't wait to chain that bad boy up.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: How big is your army?
« on: May 26, 2005, 08:54 AM »
I made some improvements lately, so finally I feel up to the post, here we go:

8 - #6 Clone Troopers
10 - Clone Commanders (I made one gold, orange, blue and black, the black is commander Gatillo) :P
10 - AT-TE Gunners
10 - SA Clone Troopers
2 - Clone Pilots (I don't like these at all, what is up with that "helmet")
3 - Target Clones
2 - Flying Clones (I think these are overpriced but I wanted 2)
3 - Blue Senate Guards
3 - Red Senate Guards
5 - Dark Wookies
4 - Tan Wookies
1 - Sneak Preview Wookie (I have never seen a second one) :-[
1 - Battle Droid (I have almost 100 b/w TPM and AOTC, so I resisted)
2 - Neimodian Dudes (I figure there were 2 at Mustafar, there are 2 in my house)
0 - Super Battle Droid (passed)
0 - Destroyer Droid (double pass)
2 - battery operated small scale chicken walkers (AT-RT)

And 3 ARC-170s, I am in love with this ship.

Nice!!

I gave away an At-TE gunner a few weeks ago and the next time found 6 on the pegs.  I wish the same to you.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: More Jedi Starfighter Rehashes

I didn't think that it was necessary to have out of the 1st 56 figures of ROTS (excluding deluxe figs):
2 R2-D2
2 Yodas
3 Anakins
3 Obi-Wans

but Hasbro always does this :-\

They are both pegwarmers in my area too.  Everytime i see a few commanders I want to rescue them :'( but I already have 10 and I have to wait for the bunch of figures hitting in june.

Episode 1 / Re: What's your favorite vehicle?
« on: May 25, 2005, 09:01 AM »
The Queen's Spaceship takes the cake.  It is 2 vehicles in one, a playset and that whole laser tag thing with the droid fighter, come on.  Plus it has that cool red R2.  I love exploding action.

I got mine at Target when they 1st came out on sale for 88.  I wish I had two.

So what week is this? ???

I got Grevious and Boga last week, I guess that means I'm SOL on some others.

881
I saw that interview now that I think about it but I didn't hear anything more.

882
I gotta said that some of my favorite figures were not even in the movie.

I got 3 target clones and I like them.  After all they are super poseable and super fun.  Yes they are overpriced but so are the EE clone packs and I got all four.  If I am to piss away my money on toys then I am going out in a blaze of glory.

I also have about 10 clone commanders.  I am currently painting one blue, yellow, orange, and one black, why? because I can.

And of course, there is Lava Vader.  I have to admit, I saw some lava on Vader  but that was before he had the black suit.  It was more like Lava Anakin :P

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Kids and ROTS (SPOILERS)
« on: May 24, 2005, 01:25 PM »
I don't have kids so I cannot talk from that end.  But I have nieces and they are 7 and 1.5 years old.  They went to see the movie with me.  The 7 year old feel sleep.  The baby saw the whole thing.  She loved it.  She lightsaber duels now with just about anything she can duel with.

So I not know what the hype is about

Darth Broem has good points and I understand that about the film, hence the rating, but I don't understand how that relates to the toys.  The actual toys don't do any of that.  These types of groups are always going to come up with something.

884
At the rate "exclusives" are going up in price, not many adults will be afording them soon.  When you have to chose between toys for your kids or for you, the choice was made a while back.

What I don't get is why the Dove people said the movie is ok to watch but BK's toys are not ok to sell.

Sounds like total BS!!
