The Original Trilogy / Ewok Adventures on DVD?
« on: November 17, 2002, 12:04 PM »
Me being an Ewok fan, how could I not be Angry (pun intended) that there has yet to be a DVD release of the Ewok Movies, or the Ewok (and Droids) cartoon series?! Do you guys think Lucas plans to put these out on DVD? I certainly hope so, and soon.

I also saw three 3 TIE's chasing the X-Wing. Other than that and the few obvious things (Jango bumping his head, Anakin's shadow, etc), I haven't really picked up on anything else.
I can't even spot the Falcon's on Naboo, at least I don't think they are Falcons.

If you look closely in the Coruscant Bar, Ketwol (or someone in same outfit) is walking outside.

I must admit, my mom and I have been collecting these Star Wars ornaments ever since the Darth Vader came out... I think we've got every ornament made so far except for the original Luke...
Does anyone else collect these?

If so, what's your favorite ornament?

My favorite would have to be the Darth Vader, he speaks a line and the floorpanel below him is lit... Very cool.

Sorta different kind of records, but I've got...

Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi read-along records. 33 1/3 RPM, 24 page booklet. I bought them both for $4.95 way back when.

Very cool, :)

Pro's -
Perfect likeness, Cool pack-in! The fact we've got another Pod Racer.

Con's-
Basically no articulation.

--------------------------------------------

Movie Accuracy : 9/10
Hasbro did a good job on Teemto as far as making him accurate. He even has removable goggles. I'm over-all happy with it.

Articulation : 4/10
Just the standard articulation, 5 points total. I wish the knees and elbows were articulated, that'd make it perfect, but nope.

Pose-ablility : 2/10
He can stand there and smile, with or without goggles. That's about all there is to it.

Customizer's Factor : None

I'm curious now, who are you doing a custom of? Perhaps you can also post some of your dio's?

Hey Hasbro! / Re:collecting is hard.

I'm sorry all of you guys gotta go through this just to collect... It definately sucks when you've got to order everything over the net especially when you're too young for a credit card or you dont want to use yours online.
I'd say the problem is simply that your distribution sucks, as is the case with most non-US locations, from what I've seen, Hasbro doesn't really care.

I wish my local TRU had something that I could buy to earn the thing. They haven't re-stocked last I checked, and even if they did its so close to Christmas!
I hope they have some after Christmas, but I doubt it.

I can pretty much confirm that these will be packaged in the Window style, so that's great news for you un-openers.  ;D

Well, with the price-range I've seen for these things, I've gathered that...

EP2 Federation Tank is a simple rehash Saga Box of the EP1 Federation Tank that was pretty hard to find.

EP2 Hail-Fire Droid would be really sweet if it was some-what to scale... but at a mere $20, I'm thinking it'll be sorta like the old Mini-Rigs sold back in the day.

EP2 Geonosian Fighter should be a new vehicle with a pack-in pilot. I can't imagine it being any more out-of-scale than the gunship is...

I actually still haven't decided if I'll get it or not... I think its real great looking, but my collection is already getting to that point where I either need a bigger room, or I need to stop getting every "cool" thing I see.

I wonder if Hasbro will make a trend of this? I'll bet we see two 'Back Door' Sets based on ROTJ when C3PO, R2D2, Han, and Leia are all gathered at the entrance to the Sheild Generator. You heard it here first!  ;)

So what does everyone think of the Wal-Mart Exclusive Trash Compactor Sets? They both seem to be works of art, but is "art" what you're looking for?

Me? I'm looking for something in between a peice of art and a toy. I like "playing" with my figures, but usually "playing" with them means I'm setting them up in dioramas and occasionally sending my Gunship in to strafe the whole lot :D...
I'm mostly concerned with just how posed they may be... Chewbacca seems to have his arms stuck in a mime position, and so does Leia. Han and Luke, on the other hand, look pretty cool with the exception of those puny rifles (those can't be the right scale).

Anyway, what do you guys and gals think?
