Best steal since the $1 Vlix

This was a much better steal than the $1 Vlix.

Freaking amazing.

Congrats DBK!  I bet that feels good.
Do you have a good way to display them?

I still have a blue snaggletooth and a Luke Stormtrooper.

As a kid I really liked the Ewok Village.  There's so much you can do with that!  The trapping net was sweet.
I also loved the Dagobah set.  Many bad guys met their fate in the "quick sand that led to the underworld" AKA the mud. :)

As a collector I think the coolest sets are the ones that came bundled with figures, like the Cantina Adventure set and the Cloud City Play set.
When I was a kid I always looked at playset/vehicle boxes and wished they came with the figures pictured on the box.   I guess that's why I like them.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: how messy is your computer?
« on: June 7, 2005, 02:10 PM »
At work my desk is a mess ... papers and files and all sorts of junk.  But it doesn't really bother me.
It's not that I'm lazy; it's that I just don't care.  :)

At home I keep things very clean and organized- monitor, keyboard, camera, and some DVD spindles.  That's about it.

I just read that Microsoft has been canceling accounts left and right.
Excessive profanity or being a racist jerk can get you banned.

This is good news to me.  I'm tired of playing against these kind of idiots.

Sometime between 1983 and 1999 George Lucas decided he was a comedian.  It is unfortunate, because every attempt at humor fails miserably in the prequels, even in ROTS.
It is actually quite remarkable; I have seen some really bad movies that were able to make at least one joke work.

As much as I hate TPM and AOTC, I think they would have been a lot more digestable if they didn't try to be funny at all.  Just stick to the characters and the story.

That being said, I liked Sith, especially the 2nd half of the film when there were moments that actually approached the OT's greatness.

Sweet!
Ultimately, the quality of the games will make or break the system, but it's nice to see these kinds of specs ... especially after the new Xbox's specs failed to knock my socks off.

Nintendo's next system also looks pretty sweet.
I can't wait.

It looks cool, but the specs don't blow me away.  They're good, they just don't blow me away.

Q:  Why is he so expensive?
A:  Why shouldn't he be.

That's possibly the greatest answer I've ever heard.

According to the definition, I've only got 3% of a battalion of carded stormies and about six or so loose...ranging in color from white to ecru. ;)
That is an impressive Stormy run you have there.
Thanks for sharing.

IMO modern figures will never be worth more than they are now.
And since modern packaging looks so dull and boring (with few exceptions), there is no reason not to open them.

That's a sweet piece, but I've never seen it hit $800 before.

The high bidder's private feedback makes me wonder if it will even trade hands.

Sometimes I will insert pictures if I'm bored, but mostly I hyperlink to pictures on my hard drive or images that I've uploaded onto a web page.

I guess I could use a database like Access, but all I really want is a brief description and links to pics.  I'm not running queries or anything.
I use some formulas (i.e. add up the total amount of loose figs, carded figs, etc.); Excel does a fine job of that.

Hi.

I use Excel to inventory my collection.
I don't see the need for any type of  special software.  Excel does everything I could ask for.
