Really nice illustrations MisterPL.  I see where your Trek costume design talent comes from now!  So is this just a hobby of yours, or does it pay the bills?  Definitely a great talent to possess either way.  Wish I could do that.  Hopefully you'll show off some more here soon!   8)

Hey, that's really cool MisterPL!  I like the design there.  So was it just an anonymous secondary character in the background type of role, or did you get to do anything exciting, like talk or get a close up shot on?

how about I'm still waiting for my silver Fett and they haven't sent jack. WTF. I don't really trust Paizo. >:(

Vic Wertz has usually seemed pretty helpful when I've seen him post around the boards.  You should drop him a line and see if you guys can work out the problem.  I'm sure he'd like to help.

As for this holiday droid set, it's very surprising to see this one pop up again after all this time (and not even in time for the holidays a couple months ago which is weird).  But it's good to see it available again, since most everyone who wanted one missed out on it the first time around.  Too damned hard to find originally, so it's good to see the Fan Club getting involved.  I'd really love to see them pick up some more HTF figures like this to get them out to the collectors, when the stores failed in that respect (Ephant Mon, etc).

At least more people's holiday Yodas will have some friends now!   8)

Saga '02-'04 / Re: 2004 Figures Release List
« on: February 12, 2004, 10:54 PM »
Nice list Scott.  Hopefully Hasbro will confirm some of the rumored figures from this list this weekend at Toyfair.  I hate it when all they show us is stuff that we already knew about.  There better be some good exciting surprises in store for us there!

I'm in agreement with those that are saying this set is worth the $10 value wise, but perhaps not to those who already have the B'Omarr Monk figure, which is understandable.  I think the Bubo looks great!  I would've liked to have seen it on a single card so I could pick up an extra or two, but I'll manage.

Anytime Hasbro makes a never-before-made figure, I'm all for it, regardless of how we get it!   8)

Welcome to the party Sith Trooper.  Won't find a more friendly or knowledgeable Star Wars collecting haven around the net than right here!  I'm sure you'll enjoy it.  I do!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Joke Thread
« on: January 31, 2004, 03:44 AM »
This isn't really a joke, but it's got some pretty funny comparisons in it:

MEN & WOMEN COMPARED

NICKNAMES - If Laura, Suzanne, Debra and Rose go out for lunch, they will call each other Laura, Suzanne, Debra and Rose.  But if Mike, Charlie, Bob and John go out for a pint, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla, Peanut-Head and Useless.

EATING OUT - When the bill arrives, Mike, Charlie, Bob and John will each throw in $20, even though it's only for $22.50.  None of them will have anything smaller, and none will actually admit they want change back.  When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

MONEY - A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he wants.  A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't want.

BATHROOMS - A man has six items in his bathroom: a toothbrush, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, deoderant and a towel from the Holiday Inn.  The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

ARGUMENTS - A woman has the last word in any argument. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

CATS - Women love cats.  Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

FUTURE - A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.  A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

SUCCESS - A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.  A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

MARRIAGE - A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.  A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change and she does.

DRESSING UP - A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the  plants, empty the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, get the mail.  A man will dress up for weddings, funerals.

NATURAL - Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed. Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

OFFSPRING - Ah, children.  A woman knows all about her children.  She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends and favorite foods and secret fears and hopes and dreams.  A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

Thought for the Day:  Any married man should forget his mistakes.  There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

Watto's Junk Yard / What magazines do you subscribe to?
« on: January 31, 2004, 03:37 AM »
Just curious about everyone's weekly/monthly reading habits, and what all magazines everyone out there subscribes to.  I currently subscribe to Sports Illustrated, Star Wars Insider, Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide.  That's it.  I used to have several other subscriptions, but found myself not getting as much use out of those magazines, so I cut them loose and now I just browse through them at the local bookstore when I have the time.

My girlfriend enjoys reading all those crap chick magazines, like Vogue, Cosmo, etc. and they all really screw with her head!   ::)

What do you guys read on a regular basis?

JD Sports Forum! / Re: Super Bowl XXXVIII New England vs Carolina
« on: January 31, 2004, 03:20 AM »
Our local media has been referring to this game as the Super Bore.  I don't mind either of the teams, or have anything against them, but like what's already been mentioned elsewhere they're just not real exciting or "glamorous".   :-\

There's no big names or stories to get behind for any of these guys really.  I think Tom Brady's pretty cool, and underrated, but at the same time he's a little like Tim Duncan in the NBA.  Just too soft spoken and reserved.

Well, I'll be looking forward to the commercials at least!  I'll be rooting for Carolina too, just because they're the underdogs and New England's already won one.

Tough call, but I'd probably have to say Boba Fett, since he's got all the cool gadgets, and apparently gets all the ladies as well!  Runner up nods to Han and Lando.  They seem to do well for themselves too.   8)

I wouldn't mind being Slave Leia or Arena Padme for a day either, just so I could check myself out.   :P

I've always been partial to Hawaiin style - Canadian bacon and pineapples!  I'll eat that anywhere.

I'd love to get out to Chicago sometime and try some real pizza though.   8)

I'm down with Rocky Road too!  I'm a little embarrassed about one of my other favorites though - but I enjoy the variety of Neopolitan.  Getting the three classic flavors all roled into one is cool in my book!   8)
