For those that are seeing wave 5, are you getting the corrected Stormtrooper helmet, or the ****** one?

Most recently I've been seeing the crappy helmet.  I managed to score a couple with the good helmets, but I got those months ago.

Yeah, I've seen that.  The case with the Warriors Three has been showing up at Target stores.  And the case with Sif has been showing up at TRU.  I was fortunate enough to finally score Sif this morning, and also saw some of what else was in that case.  Truthfully, it was kind of underwhelming.  More different versions of Thor, an alternate deco version of Loki, and the light up Destroyer but in comic deco (black).

Sorry, I only found 1 Sif.  ::)

Sif has been scarce pretty much everywhere.  The only way I've known that Sif has shipped anywhere is the leftover, weird versions of Thor that ship in the same case.

TRU's online store has a listing for Sif, but it's been out of stock every time I check on it.

Hmmm.  A nightsister figure, done in a realistic style?  And if it is indeed Mighella , then I'm thinking it will probably be in those previously rumored Sith & Villain 2-packs.  And under those circumstances she'll almost certainly be packed with Darth Maul.

I still feel as though Anakin has faced off against Dooku TOO MANY times.  There's the duel in AOTC, another in TCW animated feature, and again this past week.  It does seem to diminish lightsaber duels in general.  They're not supposed to be a common occurrance.  And yet we've got 4 or more villains in the mix who are armed with lightsabers.

Here's a pic I snapped of the comic variant when I saw it in July. Also pictured: the Red Skull variant. Haven't seen either since then.

I left these behind because I thought they looked terrible.

There will be an Avengers panel next Saturday at NY Comic Con.  Chris Evans will reportedly take part, as will Kevin Feige.

No, that's not it.  The comic one I've seen is a brighter green with yellow stripes.

Thanks! We're really proud of what was accomplished here. The whole house desparately needed to be rebuilt. Now we have to buy more furniture. Anyone know of a black grand piano in the L.A. area?

Grand pianos are a little tough to find.  But very often you can find a pretty good piano on Craigslist.  And very often they may sell for very little.  Some people will even give them away simply if you're prepared to move it from their house.  Just check here and put piano in the search field.

They did the same thing with the Red Skull, too.  There's a brighter colored versionof him  that's similar to the bright colored Hydra Trooper as well.

I can only imagine what I'm in store for in A Dance of Dragons.  I'm nearly done with A Storm of Swords, and the turns that book has taken are pretty amazing.  Where to begin?  The Night's Watch storyline alone has been amazing.  The changes in Jaime Lannister's character.  All of the weddings.  And Dany's growing power in the east?  It's been leaving me chomping at the bit to start reading A Feast for Crows, but I know there's still more to take in in last hundred or so pages of volume 3.

I suspect that it may be the movie studios that are contractually dictating which characters can be revealed in figure form in the terms of the master toy license.  Toy licenses don't merely allow the licensee (like Hasbro) to produce whatever they want from the film.

There is a licensing approval process, and that's something we've seen over the years in Lucasfilm's relationship with Hasbro.  Street dates, likenesses and marketing schedules are all elements which get agreed upon by both the studio/production company and the licensee.  It may very well be the same with Marvel Studios and Hasbro, too.

In the case of the more recent Thor figures, I'm seriously wondering if Hasbro was holding back stock for the release of the DVD.  Namely, because Target has a special Marvel movie display piece in the DVD sales department for DVD's, BluRays as well as Captain America and Thor figures.

The improvements that have come with LED's and fiber optic lighting could make these light up figures potentially cool.  The POTF2 electronic power FX figures were kind of weak, but were probably limited by the technology of their time.  Some characters would obviously work better than others.

JEDI / SITH:  The lightsabers are the obvious thing that people would want to see light-up.  It could be done in a number of ways.  The battery would definitely need to be housed in the body.  From there, either a wire or a fiber optic line would need to be run from the body and into an arm.  The LED would either be in the hand/hilt (wired) or the body (fiber optic).  That arm is going to be limited in articulation, and would likely only be articulated at the shoulder.  An elbow joint might work, but would almost certainly have to be a swivel cut joint.  A removable lightsaber blade would probably be ideal from a play value standpoint, but that design has been problematic.

HOLOGRAMS:  There's some potential here for a number of characters that appeared as holograms.  Darth Sidious, the Neimoidians, Sio Bibble, etc.  It would make the translucent figure that much more interesting.

DROIDS:  2-1B has been mentioned, and has the light up mid-section.  C-3PO could benefit from light up eyes.  And R2-D2 would benefit as would other astromech droids.  Hasbro has gone the electronic route with R2-D2 before, but the LED has always been either the wrong color (ROTS electronic R2-D2) or in the wrong spot (POTF2 power FX R2-D2).  Getting those details right would be most welcome!

I have to express a serious level of surprise that Hasbro is continuing to keep this line going.  I recently spotted some new figure which are listed here at EE.
