Celebration IV - Ultimate Group Project / Submission Packet is ready
« on: December 29, 2006, 09:36 AM »
The submission packet is ready and I will be overnighting it today in order to meet the deadline of the end of the year. If you have not given me a personal reference that you would use on a job resume, please do so ASAP!!!!

I'm going to be emailing the packet to Mary Franklin today and overnighting a paper version with concept art and work in progress pictures in order to meet the deadline.

Actually, I don't think I've made myself clear. I need the personal or business reference that you would give a prospective employer. I have your addresses. I need someone that can vouch for you such as your boss's contact info or wife, friend, parents, etc.

This is from GenCon:
At least one personal or business reference for each individual listed as a club leader

I need to overnight this packet to LFL today in order to meet the deadline!!!!

YES! Send it to me. :)

We are suppost to find out in the middle of February. Deadline for submissions is the end of the year. Personally, I don't see why they won't allow two customizing projects at the convension. His is built from scratch on site while ours is built ahead of time. We can still put together the dio even if we don't get a booth. Maybe a slight boycott might be in order also but we will see.

Dude, that's just too funny.

Where are all the ewok elves?

They are hanging around with Wookiee Clause.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Merry Christmas Everyone!

This year has been a little crazy for the Hrubys. You may recall we had some trouble last year. The robot council had us banished to an asteroid. That hasn’t undermined our holiday cheer. And we know it’s almost Christmas from the marks we make on the wall. And that’s our favorite time of year.

Merry Christmas from Chiron Beta Prime, where we’re working in a mine for our robot overlords. Did I say overlords? I meant protectors. Merry Christmas from Chiron Beta Prime.

On every corner there’s a giant metal Santa Claus who watches over us with glowing red eyes. They carry weapons and they know if you’ve been bad or good. Not everybody’s good but everyone tries. And the rocks outside the airlock exude ammonia-scented snow. It’s like a Winter wonderland.

That’s all the family news that we’re allowed to talk about. We really hope you’ll come and visit us soon. I mean we’re literally begging you to visit us. And make it quick before they [MESSAGE REDACTED]. Now it’s time for Christmas dinner – I think the robots sent us a pie! You know I love my soylent green.

Special thanks to Jonathan Coulton for the song lyrics. Now let the christmas wishes thread begin!

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Fodder Alert!

I think the robe would be useful. It would make a great flight jacket for some alien. You saw what I did with the cannibal? These POTC figures are really nice fodder.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / New POTC 3 Preview figures
« on: December 14, 2006, 12:42 PM »
I came across the two new POTC 3 preview figures last night at target. The Elizabeth Swan figure is fantastic fodder for a new Mara Jade or any other female EU figure. She wears a Japanese Kamino dress and her hair is in a ponytail. This figure is definately worth picking up for fodder. The Asian pirate is also a great figure for background EU fodder. I'm trying to find a picture of these figures on the web. I havn't found one yet.

Thanks guys. He is a great little one. He eats like a Rancor.

Congrats!  Wow, for a second there, I thought you were announcing the end of the UGP :P
