Title: How much should I expect for a complete loose collection.
Post by: kirk_dougall on June 30, 2006, 12:57 PM
Ok so i've just completed my loose vintage collection (no blue Snaggletooth though) I bough the majority in job lots etc I'd say there all around C8+ and all have weapons (around 50% repro).
I now only a couple of weeks after completing it find myself in a position where I may have to sell, the prices on a lot of figures seem to have increased since i started buying them so heres my questions if i do decide to sell:

Should I sell individually or as a whole set?
What price should i expect roughly for a complete set?

As a guess, I would say $400. up but having 50% repro weapons that will decrease the value.

That seems extreamly low I'm in the U.K and $400 is around £175...  10 last 17 figures sold last week for £400 so thats around $1000 just for those :-\

Seems vinty goes for uber coin in the UK lately, more than anyother place that I have seen.

I noticed an auction that went for $1,517.67 for 95 figures including 16 of the last 17. It was missing Yak Face.

95 Vintage figures complete incl 16 of last 17!! (http://cgi.ebay.com/95-Vintage-figures-complete-incl-16-of-last-17_W0QQitemZ6066201554QQihZ009QQcategoryZ50277QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Like I mentioned, having repro weapons will decrease the value & if some of those weapons are with the last 17 then...  :-\  I have no idea which figures you have that repro's, hopefully lower end fig's.

You should do well with a complete description & mentioning the repros, $400. plus was just a guess but you could get $1000. plus depending on the bids.

As selling as a lot or individual, your choice. Some are looking to buy in lots & be done with it & others are just looking for singles. You could sell the last 17 as a group or the others a separate group or all togther. A reserve will protect the sale just incase.  ;)
