I got in on the 2pm listing on target circle last week thanks to the yakface patreon. It arrived today in great shape though the box is long enough to put a guitar in it.

Meanwhile here's a report I wrote for the JD TVC thread based on a guy in know from the MN toy posse.

A guy I know in local toy group found one X-wing yesterday at the Edina, MN target. The store did have a shelf tag yesterday as seen in a picture he shared. This inventory did NOT show in the app that I checked multiple times yesterday morning  including before store opened.

Today I went to that Target and four other Targets nearby (Roseville,  Midway, Richfield and Bloomington). Zeros stores had shelf tags for the x-wing. I had employees scan a pic of the upc. Some said the item had no location, while others said it would be in the collectible toys by electronics.
I found the shelf location where my friend found it in Marvel aisle away from the regular Star Wars items. The spot has four shelves with zero shelf  tags, but filled witha Mandalorian gift pack, cards for Pokemon, Magic and some other random stuff.

I pre ordered mine from Sideshow and it's not on sale, but if you use their payment plan it's far less hard to swallow the price pill.

Cool, can you chime in here when it arrives? It would be nice to hear when it actually arrives given who things are going with shipping.

I'm still going to wait and see on this one.

Other Collectibles / Endor The Little Rebels Artist Series ARTFX Statue
« on: September 22, 2021, 05:11 PM »
I'm considering this statue, but its a little pricey and I have no shortage of collectables. Are there any secrets to finding deals on ArtFX stuff? Maybe Gamestop will have a crazy sale on these when the stonks crash?

Yeah, I got the email too.  The shipping delay sucks but I guess it gives me more time to figure out where I'm going to put this thing when it gets here...

I'm surprised you are the first person to say this. I have plans on where to put the razor crest, but I'm still doing a major redesign of my space. November is soon.  :o

I live in the Minneapolis area also known as the home of Target. Previously the desktop version of target.com would only show that 20% of our many local stores were either "in stock/out of stock" with the rest saying "not available at this store". Today all of those stores that were "in stock/out of stock" are now listed as "no longer available at this store".

Everybody panic  >:D

My order with dorksidetoys is still slated for september with no updates.

It's been at least a week since any stores showed any stock at stores within 50 miles of me. I think it's over.
While we are in the same area... my call is that shipping is slow on everything. Hasbro transformers slots on Target shelves are pretty bare. Ive also seen no new TVC since the Snaggletooth / Greef Karga wave. I don't have an explanation for why some cases of these Fetts have arrived in stores and now its slow. I'm not going to freak out thou and pay anything over retail for these.

Wasn't the prototype Vader similarly hard to get at first?

Was there ever an "at second"? I only have the three I own thanks to a friend. I never saw them in store.
I swear Matt's big haul was a restock.

Jocasta's Reading Room / The High Republic franchise

So what's going on with this property? Has anyone read or experienced much yet? I'm not overly excited about it, but also never hear much about it other than facebook trying to desperately push it on me.

The Vintage Collection / Re: We need more VTC figures!

Yeah I want quality and quantity, but if I had to choose one, it would be quantity.  I want weirdos, background characters, a robust representation of the movies in collection form.   Having 10 figures from a whole movie does nothing for me.

Same here... I need way more random space jerks in my life.

Cloaked from the other half, you mean?  ;)

Exactly.

When the Sail Barge came out I wound up picking mine up from a local FedEx location.  I can’t remember for sure if I did that because I was concerned about how the delivery driver might handle it, or the potential that it might be left out in the weather.  But the funny thing is that when I went to pick it up there were another 2 barges at FedEx that were waiting to be picked up.

I don’t know if I’m going to make similar arrangements this time for the Razor Crest.  The deciding factor might be if I’m still working from home when it finally ships.

Yeah... The Fed ex location felt the safest. My wife and I both work from home right now so intercepting the giant Unicron box would have been tough. And as you said it avoids issues with weather or the fedex guy kicking the package from the truck to the front step.

For anyone who might need to provide a "cloaked" entry of the Razor Crest into your place ... I figured I would give a report on my recent experience with receiving my Haslab Unicron.

Like many of you I have a fedex account that emails me when a fedex shipping label is created. I was able to update the receiving address at this time to my local fedex office location. It worked like a charm. The only catch was that the tracking process had no mention of the new address until the day of arrival when it left the local sorting facility. Apparently  the update doesn't register in the system until then. Who knows?

Either way... there's a planet hiding in my basement until the next time I redesign my display layout.

I don't know, I can see not wanting the X-wing because of space, but I'm actually pumped about this ship and the figure, so I guess I'm the target (no pun intended) audience here. I'd be happy to buy the ship off of anyone, but I'm also going to buy one full set as well. Not building a squad, but I wouldn't pass up having two blue squadron X-wings.

What I've heard many times is that the 3.75" figure line has never been super profitable, but Hasbro/Kenner made their money from the ships and playsets. The figures help support that and sell more vehicles. The problem is that now most collectors absolutely will not buy a vehicle unless it's on deep discount—and I mean like last-chance clearance. They even start cursing out Hasbro that they can't find it on clearance anywhere, balk when the clearance price is too high, and demand that other collectors find the ship on clearance for them. The fact is, there won't be a line if the fanbase is only buying things on clearance. I'll buy extras at discount, but I always tend to get at least one at full price.

The other problem is actually finding the ******* thing and/or being able to order it.

I agree with all this.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Merrick's x-wing may outsell the recent releases of Poe's X-wing & Luke's X-wing as there will be some people trying to build up a blue squadron display. Maybe we need a new mold of a Y-wing to add a second blue squadron ship release.
