Watto's Junk Yard / Any Flash users?
« on: August 22, 2005, 01:16 PM »
Hopefully one of you guys can help me here. I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to Flash. I can animate pretty well, but when it comes to the coding, I'm useless.

I'm using Flash MX, and I have a short looping movie with about 5 scenes that sits in the middle of an html page. What I'm trying to do is make a different link for each scene, to go to a seperate article of a website I'm working on.

For instance, the first part of the movie is a scene for a Salvador Dali piece. I'm trying to figure out how to make the movie clickable during that scene, to take the user to the Dali piece. The next scene would be a piece about a local photographer, and I would want the movie to then be linkable to the photographer's gallery.

Is this something that's completely simple and I just have no idea how to do it, ir is this not possible?

Thanks!

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Dressel Rebel's customs thread
« on: August 22, 2005, 11:18 AM »
I hereby nominate you as the Official Authority on All Things Dresselian.

Great customs!!!  :o

I really like the use of softgoods on these figures, and the use of more (relatively) "archaic" weapons for these guys to use. Good stuff!

First up, Delva Racine!

From the Official Site:
"Challenging fashion designer Delva Racine may have gone just a bit too far with her latest collection. She's one of the many patrons seen milling about the Galaxies Opera House."

I cannot, I will not, rest until she gets her very own action figure from Revenge of the Sith!

No one would be better for RotS figure #69 than Delva!

Anyone else have an "awesome" character design that they'd love to see made?

 :P

I'd hit it. With or without the elephant nose thing.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Coruscant Wave
« on: August 18, 2005, 10:18 AM »
I just really hope there's a super articulated Mace Windu in this wave. So here's my suggestions/hopes/dreams...

1. Super articulated Mace Windu (with all the fixins'!)

2. General Grievous (with sturdier plastic and softgoods cape)

3. Neimoidian Captain "All batteries fire! FIRE!!!" (that guy is classic)

4. 501st Clone

5. Captain Cody

6. Battle droid

Dressel! I know you're secretly scouring Targets across MA to find these marked-down clones!  ;)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: "Evolutions" assortment...
« on: August 18, 2005, 10:04 AM »
Maybe he's some sort of German fetish stormtrooper. Why wasn't Cartman's mom included in this set?

I finally found the Anakin evolution set last night, and I'm loving these sets. What an excellent set! I really hope this line sells, because I think this line has a great deal of potential. I would love to have a bounty hunter set, with a super-articulated removeable helmet Jango Fett. Or even a "villains" set with a taller, sturdier (plastic) Greivous with a softgoods (and correctly colored) cape.

Anyone know how many more episodes are in this season? I have to say, this has been a great season so far!

You know, the Rebelscum forums could be up, down, sideways or even change into a gigantic avocado, and I would have no clue except for reading it here. **** that place anyways.

I've got what I want in a forum right here.  8)

Photonovels and Movies / Re: RE #12 - Terror Reborn
« on: August 16, 2005, 01:35 PM »
WOW!!!

This photonovel is ******* awesome CHEWIE! I love how you gave us a bit of a cliffhanger. You have everything set up in such a way that this one felt like Act II of a three-act play. The pieces are in place, and now the story will play itself out. It almost feels like Assault on Rhen Var, Terror Reborn and your next photonovel are like a small trilogy within the Rykof Enloe series. Great stuff!

And I love the Gran terrorist, that guy's awesome! Are we going to see him in action next photonovel?

I wasn't able to see Friday's episode until the 11 o'clock airing last night. Good episode. I like the development of the Cylon breeding program, and Roslin "playing the religion card". I'm also kind of liking the Tom Zarek character. There's some developing going on with him, and I think he could be a solid addition to the show.

Mainly, I don't remember enough about the old series to really know "what's coming", so this is all new to me.

As far as who's a Cylon in the fleet, I'm definitely going to say that Tigh's wife is a Cylon. They really left it up in the air when she was tested and passed, but then Number Six mentioned to the Doctor how they'll never know that everyone passes the test.

There's also the copy of Number Six that tried to have Dr Baltar arrested for treason. She's obviously flesh and blood (and circuitry), and still somewhere in the fleet.

As far as sleepers, there is the "Adama is a Cylon" accusation from the Cylone agent that was sent out the airlock by Roslin. I'm not sure that would be such a great idea though.

Wow...I'm definitely getting that! And Mike, I still have your copy of the miniseries. I've watched it a bunch of times, with pretty much anyone who will make the 3 hour committment!  ;D
