Now that I'm playing the college game, I have no choice but to cut back a bit, though to be honest, my interest in the line has kind of dimmed after ROTS. Mind you theres still a few things i like the looks of this year, and as long as Hasbro pumps out  Cantina Aliens, I'll buy em, but for the most part, out of all of the new stuff we've seen this year theres maybe 5 figures in there that i actually want and only about 2 that I'll actually buy right off.

Hmmm. Personally I find this whole wave incredibly dull. Bulq is cool, and the command is a might depending on articulation but the rest are an easy pass. I am a bit concerned abot Bulqs lower torso though. It looks suspiciously like the saga Plo Koons legs repainted. If thats the case I'll likely pass on him too.

I do realize that the R5D2 isn't an accurate version of R5D4... I guess for whatever reason, R5D4 just isn't too important of a character to me, and I'm just happy with the Star Tours one.  Kinda weird I guess... but I love that figure.

 

Don't get me wrong, R5-D2 is a pretty cool little figure, and I wouldn't mind gettin one myself, but he's different enough from D4 for me to tell the difference. And R5-D4 not an important character? Despite his few seconds of screen time, R5-D4 is probably one of the most pivitol characters in the SW Universe. Were it not for that bad motivator, he'd have been purchased by Luke and Owen. R2 ould be loaded back onto the sandcrawler and captured by the Imperials, causing the rebels to never recieve the secret plans, ushering in a new reign of terror for the empire with thier indestructable new weapon. Luke never would have run into Obi Wan, who in turn would never run into Solo and Chewbacca, who would never end up in the death star to rescue Leia, who would be killed by the empire. But because of the noble R5-D4, blowing his own motivator to keep R2 and 3PO together, the galaxy was saved. R5 should have been at the end of Jedi in spirit form instead of Anakin. I guess the point I'm trying to make is R5-D4 deserves a well done, accuratley sculpted figure.

As for the Luke/Han repacks, I understand the reasoning behind them, and if it were VOTC versions instead of somthing more outdated then I'm all for it. It'd be even better if they included some cool assesory to persuade those of us who already have one to get another. Like maybe a cantina table. I'd buy ten Cantina Hans if he came with a cantina table.

Any way or excuse to get some new cantina stuff is good with me. I'd bite on that Tusken set too.

Chief Chirpa - Bout time. I don't really have an opinion on the Ewoks one way or another, but I'll probably pick this guy up.

Moff jerrjerod - Dunno, maybe. I'll have to see him first.

Death Star Gunner - This one might be cool, especially if he's got the SA treatment.

There's way too many repacks in this wave though by the sounds of it. We'll have to see where this goes, hopefully there'll be another new one in there somewhere.

I wasn't expecting much from this wave, but Graga and a Podracer 2 pack sounds great. Hopefully they'll give us a good pair of racers, though I'm half expecting one of them to be Ben Quadrinaros or whatever his name is.

I was planning on passing on this wave entierly since I'm mostly an alien collector, but actually seeing the pictures and selection has changed my mind completely. The most pleasant surprise has to be that Gonk Power Droid. I love the look of that thing. This is a great way to rerelease an exsisting figure and make it interesting and new. Derlin is looking good, the detail is great. I'm looking forward to seeing Veers armorless, and wether or not he has his regular hat. He's definatly looking good though. The AT-At driver is also quite cool looking and I'll definatly be picking one up.

I do have some concerns about the repacks though. I understand Hasbros reasoning for them but they really seem to be too plentiful to me. And the choices for some of these repacks just seems foolish, mostly in regards to Reikaan. Main characters i can understand but rereleasing less important and obscure characters just seems foolish, especially ones that warmed the pegs previously, and at least then you got the display screen with him.
