Title: Lego Star Wars: The Complete Collection
Post by: Artoo on October 3, 2007, 08:23 PM
Baically the same thing as the first 2, but with new levels, unlockables & characters. Plus, making his first appearance Lego Indiana Jones! I was on the edge if I wanted this but Lego Indy sold it for me. I'm gonna sell my PS2 Legos, I guess.

I might pick this up for the 360 whenever I get one.

I received this game for Christmas and have been playing it on my 360 and it's quite a bit of fun.  I do prefer playing this game on a console than the previous versions I've played on PC....the controller definitely helps control the characters better as opposed to the keyboard, especially on the flying levels.

Speaking of Lego Indy, when does Lego Batman come out?

Is there really a Lego Helo in development?

Burned through the PT, I'm having a blast. Some really tough situations to navigate through though, like Kashyyyk.

As I'm replaying the OT parts (which I played on the original,) I'm really appreciating the minor changes they made to some of the game play, such as moving one or two of the Mini-kits around.

All done. Fun game. First xbox game that I could get all the achievements on.

We picked this up for the Wii recently, and I'm having a lot of fun playing it.  We had the previous versions on Gamecube as well, but thought it would be a good game to have for the newer system.  Unfortunately I haven't had a whole lot of time to play it though, its so much tougher with a one year old in the house :P.

Plus the kid's probably kicking your ass in the game already.   :D

We gave our kids a Wii for Christmas and I bought this game the day after Christmas.  Since the boys are too young still to be able to play this, my wife and I have been playing for the past few days.  We're addicted!  Very fun game.  Can't wait to get to the end...

Am I one of the only people who doesn't really enjoy this game too much?

It is alright sometimes, but it gets a little too repetitive for me after awhile. The game is just so damned long. I really wish you could just go right into Free Play. It seems to take way to long to get all the achievements and really finish the game. I realy can't stand the ship levels, I can't even get close to True Jedi on most of them. I really don't like the ship controls.

After playing through LSWI twice, LSWII once, and then Saga twice, to get all the achievements, yeah, I was about ready to throw it out the window.  But, I am an achievement whore, and playing through games that we don't particularly enjoy for a minuscule increase in gamerscore is just something us achievement whores do.  But yeah, I imagine that if I hadn't already played through the other games first, I would have enjoyed Complete Saga a lot more.  So it's not Complete Saga's fault.  It's my fault. . .  for playing and enjoying the games that immediately preceded it.

And go for the stud multipliers first, if you haven't already.  Once you get a couple of them, it makes getting True Jedi pretty easy.

Not to sound like a complete ignoranus, but what is a stud multiplier?

They are red bricks you can find in certain levels and then purchase, which will, when turned on, multiply your stud total.  And they're stackable.  So if you find the x2 multiplier, and then find the x4 multiplier, and then turn them both on, you'll then have a x8 multiplier.  Once you get them all, you can have a total multiplier of 3800 or something ridiculous like that.  You'll get True Jedi within seconds of starting the level, and this also makes it really easy to get the "max out your stud counter" achievement (which is 4,000,000,000).

(And if that was an Ali G reference, nice work.)

Ah, thanks for that. How do you turn them on then? Do you have to go to the bar or something?

Yeah, just like you would any of the red brick extras.

And I believe the first one is at the very end of the Death Star trench run, hidden in the right corner behind the exhaust port.  I'm pretty sure, anyway.  That's the only one I remember.  I'm sure there's a list of the others somewhere on GameFAQs or something.

Your memory was spot on. Thank you kind sir. :)

If I remember correctly, all the red bricks that give you stud multipliers are in the OT levels.  They added some for the PT, since you did not have to find red bricks in the PT only game.

One item that will prove useful if you cannot find them is the red brick detector which is very similar to the mini-kit detector.

I just bought this last night, and was getting addicted to it till the drains clogged in the basement.

I'm already anxious to go back and play it some more though.  I got through the first few chapters of Episode 1.  I had the OT game, so I'm guessing it's more the same, but the PT stuff is all new to me, so I'm enjoying myself.

We've completed all of the levels, the bonus missions and the bounty hunter missions.  We are now going back and completing all of the challenge modes from each level.  We're obsessed with getting 100% of the game completed.

I really enjoyed playing this game, it was a lot of fun.  Now that Lego Batman and Lego Indy are coming down in price, I'm going to have to pick those up too...

You should like the Indy game too. I might pick up the Batman game at some point.

100.0% Complete!  Finally!

I had a lot of fun playing that game.  The super stories got annoying at the end just because I wanted to get done.  But all in all it was a really enjoyable game.  Can't wait to dive into Lego Indy now!

I don't quite "get" the super story thing...  I've not read directions and things on them yet as I'm still trudging through Free Play right now, but I tried playing Ani's podrace Super Story one night, and man that pissed me off in about 10 minutes so I quit till I could figure out what the point was. :)

With super story, you're just playing through all six chapters per episode at once, in story mode, trying to get the best time. You still get credit toward 100% whether you beat an hour or not.
