Like me, I'm sure there are people not attending the Celebration 4 festivities and need help acquiring any exclusive stuff companies will probably have. Post your lists here and hopefully those people going will be nice enough to help out.
My list (and I'll update as we find out more info):
1. Acme's exclusive character key (whomever it might be) - sounds like it might be a pre-order for those attending which should make it fairly easy to abtain. No waiting in line hopefully. - Already pre-ordered
2. Gentle Giant animated R2 / Yoda maquette
3. McQuarrie R2-D2 / C-3PO x2
4. McQuarrie Luke x2

Heh, at least someone else started it :P I may, or may not be going, it is undecided but leaning towards not attending, so I'll jump in here:

I'm looking for the Commander Gree and Darth Malak Mini Busts. I'll also be looking for a total of 3 of whatever Hasbro is offering, 2 for myself and 1 for a buddy.
Dale's offered to help me out, but if anyone else is going and waiting in that line and NOT buying them, let me know - I'd love to get an extra Gree/Malak or two to try to trade for the other two busts that will be Japan and UK exclusives later in the year

Updated my list.
From what I've been reading, it sounds like the Acme key might be a pre-order for pick up at the show. Hopefully that's true as it greatly reduces the hassle involved.

I'll do wahtever I can for all of you but the down side is you might have to pay a little extra for postage as there is no way I can bring all this stuff back in two suitcases. I "might" just have to ship it from LA (assuming the convention will have a shipping center set up)....unless someone else takes it after I buy it. I guess we'll have to see how it all works out as it draws closer. I drove to C2 and C3, so that was easy to buy extra...this will be more challenging!!

Since I live the area I'll try to get extras of the Hasbro stuff and see if I can get a couple of the GG Maquettes since I have no interest in that one. As for busts I may see if I can get an extra of each one but it all depends on how many people I can get to go with me that doesn't collect.

Just remember, I'm making stuff up/guessing as to what will be there. With respect to the Hasbro stuff, I'm not sweating too much as I expect anything from them to be at the online store in time. Geez, I still have 2-3 extra CIII Vaders around here somewhere. It's crazy man. Crazy.
Also note I'm realistic in my expectations based on what happened at CIII. I hope they figure out a better system than the mad dash approach, so if I get shut out on everything, so be it, there'll be no gnashing of teeth.

Agreed with Brent. I'm not going to lose sleep if I miss anything.
Sidewshow is setting aside some of the Yavin Luke for non-attendees. I had no problem acquiring the Sith Anakin from C3 and I'd imagine Luke will be no different.
It sounds like Acme is also taking the necessary steps to get a key into the hands of everyone who wants one, attendee or not.
We'll see what Gentle Giant has to offer with regards to service.

I'm also a little concerned about the Japanese and UK Clone Busts, so multiple Gree busts would help me not lose as much sleep over those. :) The Hasbro thing, depending on what it is, I'm not worried about. Talking Vader just takes up space as far as I'm concerned. if they actually make something cool on the other hand...

I always look at Con exclusives a little differently I guess. If I were going, what would a one day pass cost? What would a four day pass cost? How much is my time worth to stand in line for four hours before the doors open so I can run in and stand in another line to see guys that weren't in the line and miraculously seem to be in front of me now? $100 for a Con exclusive doesn't bother me a single bit to be completely honest. I'm all for paying $55-60 instead of course, but I can justify the other costs pretty easily.
As for the Japan/England exclusives, well, I have a shot at the one from Japan thanks to a friend there, but the one from England I'm hooped on. I'm just not obsessed about being a completeist with anything, anymore. I want 'em all, but I'm not about to obsess (he says now, knowing he'll eat his words later).

Go figure they put out a lame repacked Vader with a voice box when I go, but when I can't it's an awesome two pack of never before seen figures.
I need 2 for myself, and one for a friend if anyone's able to get extras.
So the list looks like this, in order of importance:

I think its going be a limit of 4 figures for the entire show, per badge. I assume that since the have the 4 imperial symbols like the, C3 badges did, again.

"For Celebration IV, quantities of the action figures will be limited per person, based on which admission badge is purchased. Those purchasing 4-day badges will be able to purchase four of the droid figure packs, while supplies last. There are four Imperial symbols on the bottom left of the 4-day badge; these symbols will be punched to show the number of action figures purchased. Those with 1-day badges have one Imperial symbol on their badges, and can purchase one figure pack. Badges will be punched at time of purchase."

Let me ask you this out of curiosity. For us guys in the states, are you planning on trying to ship from California, or are you taking everything back to Canada and shipping internationally once you're home? I'd expect that getting all that stuff through customs would be a pain in the ass.

I know that there's probably going to be a lot of people wanting help with the great exclusives this year, but I'll add my name to the list of people hoping for a set of the McQuarrie R2/3PO and Luke figures. I had actually hoped to get two of each of the McQuarrie figures this year (1 set to keep carded with the spiffy cardbacks), but at this point I'd be happy to at least get one of each. If anyone is able to help, that's great, but hopefully everyone can just enjoy the show too - and not spend the whole time standing in line :). It is great that we have such a nice community here where people want to try to help each other out - thanks to everyone for at least attempting to cover people if possible.

You could also have people who live in the area (SoCal) mail them out for you as will. Could be a little easier since you won't miss the convention while packaging stuff/shipping it out, especially since you only have 3 days in which the PO is open and there could be some issues with the UPS store that the con may have. Last year I ended up getting someone else's stuff.
ETA: Who is planning/knows there are going to the convention. That way we could start to plan on how much extra stuff we can have for other's here.

I'm looking for 1 - (preferrably 2) of the McQuarrie R2/3PO and the McQuarrie Luke if anybody can help me out. :-* We only have one member of the MN clan attending so most of us will be at a loss.

I am hoping for on site shipping from C4. If anything, I will send my box back to Ohio and then sort it out from there. I know that I won't ship anything to Canada directly due to the insane custom fees. I would prefer to ship everyone's loot instead of stuffing it in my suitcase since I trust the airline less than the post office. :-\
I am sure I will meet up with everyone throughout the weekend so we should be able to get everyone's stuff sorted into their respective piles and figure it out from there. I also assume I will be able to buy as many Luke's as I want and they will only punch my badge for C3PO/R2D2.
My only question/concern is I will have all these boxes/carded figures/pictures and stuff - how am I suppose to carry it around all day?? At the other conventions, I had Jay (my pack mule) and he just carried it all and when he was sick of carrying it, he walked across the street to dump it off and then came back. C4 doesn't have a skywalk and I am quite sure that the hotel I am at is a a bit of a walk. What did everyone else do? How did you all carry your stuff around? Do I need a backpack or just bring my rolling suitcase and stuff it full?

As far as I know, the convention centre has no lockers. At C3, I had small day pack so I could carry the loot around plus snacks & drink. I expect the prices for snacks/drink to be high as usual. ::)
The Wilshire Grand is approx 0.9 of a mile. The Holiday Inn where Jesse & I are staying is 0.2 of a mile so we run across the street & drop stuff off & run back.

I think there was an area in the centre at C3 where you could mail stuff out, not sure about this centre tho. The hotel Bob & I stayed at had a UPS store around the corner so we mailed most of our stuff back & Bob lost 1 item. :-\
Yep, customs up here is a killer. Smaller items (loose figures) that can fit in a jacket pocket well no claim. :-X ;D
But yeah, mailing stuff out from the US would be better.

I kind of need to know if I should go to the GG booth first or the Store (the Boba Fett Maquette is the top priority item).

GG pre-orders will go live 2 weeks before the convention, if you have a Gentle Giant's Collector Club or Premiere Membership then you're set.
One member in the thread mentions that the Boba maquette will be $79.99 as per the new issue of Insider.
Also the Kotobukiya Exclusive Spirit of the Force Yoda (http://www.figures.com/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=fignews2.setup&category=actionfigures&topic=105&show_article=167&nl=1) will be available & run $60.

I was listening to last Friday's "ForceCast" from TF.N, and they have an interview with Steve Sansweet - and he mentions that on the first day (Fan Day) that Fan Club members can buy five of the McQuarrie Droids set at once. I guess there are four punches on the badget normally, but they'll allow you to buy five if you want/need to. People who are going probably understand the badge thing better than I do, but I thought I'd pass it along in case anyone was interested.

Thanks for the link Dale. Now, I have another question (or two). Just where IS the Star Wars Shop store?? It's not usually inside the Exhibit Hall (and really couldn't be if it is open 24 hours a day) and I am assuming that both McQuarrie figures are going to be sold at Hasbro's booth and NOT in the store like I originally thought?? The link states they are Hasbro items but I could of swore that C3PO/R2 were Star Wars Shop items and not available at the Hasbro booth.
Oh well, I guess I need to find out where the Star Wars store is since that will be my first line for Thursday.... :-\

The McQuarrie Luke (http://www.starwars.com/collecting/news/hasbro/news20070409.html) will be available at the Hasbro Toy Shop booth #513 in the Exhibitors Hall (http://www.gencon.com/2007/swciv/exhibitors/default.aspx). The McQuarrie R2-D2 & C-3PO (http://www.starwars.com/community/event/celebration/news20070402.html#hljs) will be available at the Celebration IV Store a different location in the center which is open 24hrs.
The Star Wars Shop store is #419 which I think is separate from these exclusives.
This is what I have read over at RS from one of the Admins:
I've heard that we should see a map and schedule approx. 2 weeks before the show. They should have 90% of the events and contracts in place by then.

Well it looks like instead of trying to pick up exclusives for people, I'll instead be begging for them like everyone else. ;) With our baby arriving not long after CIV, my wifey and I have decided it's just a little too close for comfort, especially if there's any complications. The right decision to make, but still a tough thing to miss out on.

Now that I've seen it, I'd like to; it would look pretty sweet on top of the TV in my SW room. But with those quantities and purchase limits, I doub't I'll get one. I signed up for the first store fast path slot, so if I go there first, I'll likely miss out on the dealer's room exclusives. I guess I could try for the Yoda first and then head for the store since my fast pass is good from noon until 3 PM. I guess we'll see.
ETA: If anyone else is planning to head straight to the... whatever booth these light-up Yoda doo-dads are sold at on Thursday morning, and you'd be willing to snag a second one for me, I will gladly get the money to you prior to that morning. Please let me know. Thanks!

We will start taking pre-orders for the following Star Wars Celebration IV 2007 Exclusives on Thursday May 10th. An email with the links and information will be sent out on Thursday, May 10th:
Commander Gree mini bust - pre-order quantity - 800 pieces - $50
Darth Malak mini bust - pre-order quantity - 800 pieces - $50
Spirit of Yoda mini bust - pre-order quantity - 800 pieces - $50
Star Wars Animated Yoda and R2-D2 Maquette - pre-order quantity - 100 pieces - $75
Luke and Han in Stormtrooper Disguise Bust-Up 2-pack - pre-order quantity - 100 pieces - $10

I'm just guessing here, but given SWS.com didn't exist at the last Celebration, they're probably going in blind and without a plan. As a result of that I'd expect a free for all not at all unlike the Gentle Giant approach at CIII. So if you're outside the exhibition hall and first in line, expect to be about #200 in line when you get in the doors ;) I think they might be smart enough to have an alotment for each day but don't expect that to last more than five minutes after the doors open, if there are any even left.

You are right, but I wrote what I meant poorly. Indeed it did exist even three years ago (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=3914.0) but they were not in attendance with a booth at C-III. So my meaning was that they haven't been there physically and experienced the joy of the mad rush for exclusives at a Celebration. No booth presence at CIII = inexperience at CIV and probably be just like the GG booth was at CIII.

I got one of everything except the Yoda-R2 maquette for a collector friend in the UK. Fortunately he didn't want one of the Yoda-R2 maquettes because it sold out long before I could get my order to process.
Now I think I can finally relax for the next two weeks.

If the ACME item shows up for pre-order, I'll try to snag that beforehand. I really want the Koto Yoda and am torn between which booth to go to first: sws.com, Hasbro or Koto. They are all close to each other so it will be a toss up as to which line looks the shortest.
I'll have to stand in the regular store line (I still can't believe I never knew about that fast-pass) and hope that all the female shirts and pins aren't sold out after my shift ends at 8:30 on Thursday.
I am just hoping Master Replica gets their head out of their ass and lets us pre-order. It's not that hard for them to do. Otherwise, it's another line decision I have to make :-\.

The Grand Moff Tarkin Character Key will be available for pre-order for customers attending Celebration IV. Attendee pre-orders can only be picked up at our booth (#404) and will not be shipped. Non-Attendee Pre-Order Information
For our customers not attending Celebration IV, Acme will make available a quantity of 200 character keys for order online. These keys will not ship until June 1st.
There is a limit of one (1) piece per person - either Attendee or Non-Attendee. I've been scrolling around various threads and can't seem to find the answer. Is there an alloted amount of McQuarrie figures (the droids) for the Celebration Store each day? Since it is open 24 hours I am hoping the answer is no (escpecially on Fan Club day). I guess if you have a really late fast path, it would be pointless if they didn't let you get your four figures right? So I am hoping the same is true for the regular line. I know at C3 (and I think C2), they only sold around 10,000 per day and once those were gone - you were screwed(for that day anyways).
I guess I have the same question for the Hasbro Luke figure....any idea if there is a set limit to sell each day???
I already know the quantities on the KOTO Yoda, MR items, sws.com Fett, ACME frame just not the figures...

Beth, I seem to recall seeing that the droids would be limited, I think to four per badge again like last time (or one per each day's individual badge), but that no limits had been put on the Luke figure (yet). I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that's what I recall hearing somewhere when these were first announced...

Not sure if anyone saw this but Kotobukiya is also have an R2-D2 Kiriko Glassware (http://www.figures.com/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=cjtnews2.setup&category=cooljt&topic=3&show_article=37) in addition to the Yoda: Spirit of the Force ARTFX Statue.
Due to the complex production involved in creating this glassware, only a small quantity (less than 200 pieces) of the R2 Kiriko Glass will be available at Star Wars Celebration IV. The glass will retail for $35.00 and can be found exclusively at the Kotobukiya booth (#921).
This will make a nice addition to the bar. 8)

Oh, I think I wrote my question wrong. I know it is a limit of four per badge (five actually for those of us going on Fan Club day - that's a direct quote). I meant, if I wander over to the store at 9pm on Thursday, is it even worth my time because they probably went through "x" amount of figures by then?? At C3 - they ran out a few hours after they opened (they didn't really run out but they hit their alloted 10,000/day limit). I can't find a number that they plan on selling per day anywhere so I am extremely hopeful that if I stand in the line for 4-6 hours, at least I'll get my limited number of droid figures.
Dale - now it's almost a no-brainer....I guess I hit the KOTO booth first thing. I hope they limit these to two per person (at most).

Yeah, I heard it was USCwannabe. Dustin is currently disputing it.
I would hope that Hasbro has enough brains by now to make so freaking many of these McQ figures that they don't have to allocate them to a certin amount each day. Even if they didn't, IMO the allocation should not start until the convention is open to the general public at 10 AM on Friday. If they bring 100,000 figures and go through 50,000 of those on FC day, so be it. One of the perks of FC membership should be being able to buy these figures on FC day.
So, while I don't know for sure, I sure think the McQ figures will be available in the store throughout the night Thursday night.

Well I can't make the show afterall. Which kind of ticks me off but oh well. If anyone could pick me up 1 Mc Luke and 1 Mc Droids set that would be greatly appreciated. I had two Lukes preordered through HTS, but we'll see how that goes now with the news on the front page. If someone has them picked up for us anyways, I'll probably just cancel the HTS nonsense. Has there been any word on what people were able to pick up? I'm sure everyone is still recovering from the weekend, and that is totally understandable. I was just curious if I should try to pick up the exclusives online as they pop up this week. Either way, thanks to everyone for all of the work trying to help everyone here out - it sounds like it wasn't exactly a picnic again this time around and hopefully it didn't ruin anyone's weekends.

No worries if you don't need them (that is for everyone here), as I am sure someone will want them down the road. I also realize that it is impossible not to grab them when they are available online. I couldn't really guarantee anyone that I would be able to get what they wanted until I got to the convention (I certainly didn't know Luke was limited to 6 per line visit!!).
Oh well - the ones I do have (just so you know) come in a star case and the cards and cases are mint.

Ya, I'm feeling kinda guilty that I asked for the site's help with getting these exclusives, but I honestly didn't think they'd be avaiable online, nor did I expect for 1 Minnesotan out of our group to help all the rest of us with the Droids...I think he pulled 20+ of those.
That being said - I'll still be more than happy to pick up the stuff I asked for, but I'm sure that there are others out there that don't even have anything yet.
Just let us know what the tally and what not is when everybody gets settled. :)

I don't want anyone to feel guilty - please...that is not what I meant at all. I would have ordered online also (just to make sure) and I have no doubt I will be able to sell the ones I have to those that missed the online sale. I'd rather have everyone be able to get one that have to try and decide who to sell the extra's too!!
I didn't, however, get anything extra besides figures. The KOTO Yoda was cash only as well as the R2 glass they offered. GG was a nightmare line (as always) and SS was all pre-order. And the sws.com line.....hahahahahaha...yah-good luck on THAT one!!!
I assume some of the celebration store stuff will show up online so it's basically those coins from the collector panels that will be the 'hot' item (IMHO) besides that Fett maquette.

I ordered the droids (and Luke) online as well, just in case, but if there are lots here that people picked up for everyone - I can always cancel the orders. Like others, I'd feel bad if people spent their whole weekend waiting in line for those of us here - only for us to be able to pick these things up online. Is there a tally of how many "extra" sets people were able to pick up - I'd hate for people to be stuck with extras, especially since they are so pricey.
