The one for $325 was a damaged statue as it had a chip on the back of its helmet.

Blue Clone Trooper Bust   :o   :o

GG Blue Clone Trooper Bust   :o

I'm surprised to see that second one go for $325.  That's kind of low for the blue Clone Trooper.

Ditto.  I just hope they truly improved their system, so we don't have a repeat of the "Han in STD clusterf**k."

I have just joined the ranks as a Star Wars Gentle Giant collector.  These pieces are just too nice to stay away from any longer.

Its started the end of my toy collecting (starwars stuff anyway) and moving into the different stuff.
I got my first Stormtrooper bust the other day and that is awesome.
I wondered why anyone would want more than one but after opening it and seeing the different arms and guns i can now see why, infact i will be ordering another 2 shortly.

Added bonus it came with a Leia bust up that also happened to be the chase one, so that was an awesome surprise as well.

Gentle Giant and Master Replicas now seem to be my poison of choice.
The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

I've got 2 of the Stormtrooper Busts - they're great for flanking Vader (just the chrome one, for now   ;))

Makes for a sharp display.

I just realized that I actually have had some Gentle Giant products for a couple of months now.  I totally forgot about my Clone Wars Maquettes.  New toy smell must be clouding my brain.   :P

Bought my first Gentle Giant Busts this week...

IG-88 for 29$ and X-Wing Luke for $12.50

Both at Suncoast - both on clearance.

I'm afraid that I've opened up another can of worms though.

Damn, nice prices there Rob!  Especially on that X-Wing Luke...  :o

Indeed, you have.  You're in big trouble now, mister!

Since I haven't been paying much attention lately, how much longer until the next bust(s) finally hit?    Seems like it's been a while since there's been anything new...

These are all projected dates.  I have no idea how accurate they are.  I hope to acquire all of these.  The new versions of Yoda & Vader are really what made me to decide to start collecting the busts.

Boushh Leia 6/29

Han Solo 8/31

Sandtrooper's (Orange & White Pauldron) 9/29

Darth Vader 10/27

Yoda 10/27

Thanks Jon.  Looks like we've still got a little ways to go then before the Boussh hits.  Speaking of which, anyone actually crazy/compulsive enough that they're buying two of those to display with and without helmet?  I sure don't plan to do that myself.

And while I'm playing catch-up here, what's the status of a potential Comic-Con exclusive?  Anything announced, or is it gonna be another (or the same) Sandtrooper?  Can't recall anymore, though I'd be very surprised if GG didn't have something exclusive in San Diego this summer.

I think we speculated that it would be a variation on something that currently exists.  How about a black hole stormtrooper bust :o

I think we did decide that I'm first in line for your spare that you pick up, however ;D

So for you guys who actively collect these things... Tips to someone just starting out?  Best place to buy from?  Best way to make sure you're getting a good deal?  Etc...?
