Sometimes I go to a movie with coworkers or friends that my wife (or other friends) want to see, so I end up seeing it twice.  I almost never want to see anything twice in the theater.  Star Wars movies are really the only movies I pay to see more than once.

The 2006 event will most likely have stricter rules, a "mail by" deadline date and will most likely have some kind of punishment for not meeting the deadline (since it apparently has come to that).

That makes sense.  Perhaps people who have been unsuccesful in sending gifts in the past shouldn't be allowed to participate, or at the very least simply not be assigned a Secret Santa until their recipient has received a package.

I know I've enjoyed it the last couple of years and would hate to see it go away because we have people that either lost interest, refused to send packages until they received one....or are just procrastinating a little too long.

If you had asked me last year if 2005's thread would still be going in May...wow. I wouldn't have thunk it.

I wouldn't.  I was expecting that last minute "over the top" thing for the whole campaign, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

However..the fact that they haven't announced a winner yet is really weird.  Just how long does it take to count all the votes up?  I could have counted to 300 at least....2 or 3 times by now.

That's what it was.  His waist was like 19 inches around or something, it was gross.  Apparently this was something men did in those times?  I don't know.

Nah... he just thinks the Xbox is the best and everything else sucks.

I do think the Xbox 360 is my best system, but that doesn't mean I think everything else sucks.  That's the biggest difference between the hardcore gamers like myself and the hardcore fanboys.  We never pledge allegiance to any particular system, we just go where the games are. Most of us spring for multiple systems because we recognize no ONE system has it all. 

Yes, I'm partial to the 360. They showed a TON of games at E3 that I know I'll be buying over the next year.  I even got to play a few of the demos thanks to the E3 at home thing they did on Xbox Live.  I COULD only play those games and probably be just fine, but then I'd miss out on all the other good stuff the competition is working on.  I have no intention of letting that happen. 

Oddly enough though, with the two new consoles coming out this fall, the system launch I'm still looking most forward to this year is still the DS Lite.  I plan to get one of those suckers on launch day, so I can play my New Super Mario Brothers game on it.

I'm sorry, but I own all rights to the letter E...and it does not endorse that campaign.  Maybe if he gives me one of those free posters it will.
