I've been experimenting with sillicone casting (Smooth On products) these past few months and start getting the hang of it. But now, I have a problem and need some advice fro more experienced people.

This is my Kybuck steed as some of you might know:



Over the past few years, some people have asked me to build them one as a commission. And now, I have the casting materials so I thought, I can give it a shot. But I don't know which way will be best to cast it.
The Steed has NO articulation and is built in one piece. You could call it a "statue".

What would be the best way to make a sillicone mold and plastic cast of this one?

Any suggestions?

I've started to learn how to cast a few days ago. And I have a few questions:

How do you guys change the colors of your casts? Do you use diffirent casting products? I use Smoot-Cast 300, and it's pure white.
Can you just mix some model paint in with the 2 components or do I have to buy special pigment for it?

Any help would be usefull.

Half a year ago, my girlfriend and I decided to join forces and start working on a short comic. It was more of an experiment really to check out our "artistic bounderies". So we put together a little story, situated in the Jedi Purge timeline and went to work.

The original concept of the story was forged back when Bejedi.com was still up. I was one of the crew members there and the idea was to make exclusive comics to offer to our members. That's when I first doodeled the Clone renagade. A few years later, he's starring his own little story.

Ok, ok, people 've been telling me, Fox was a clone trooper in the 501th legion, and isn't this guy. But hey, as long as i don't have an other name for him, here is Fox.

Most of the work's by Glassman's hand. He sculpted and casted me the helmet and head. I put everything together on a commander body. Added some sculpted and repainted him. Here are the results:
