Modern Classifieds / WTB: Empty Hasbro VOTC "Star Cases"

If you have any of the empty Hasbro clear "Star Cases" from the VOTC figures you've opened, I'd be interrested in them if they're in really nice condition!      I especially want some that had the Ben figures in them without the warnig sticker on the inside.

Please e-mail if you have any you'd like to let go of!

I'm also looking for a Hasbro cardboard shipping case that the VOTC "ROTJ" wave of figures were shipped in!      I think it's case # 85213 - Wave 5.     Very nice condition prefered as I like to use them for storage.

Put me down for 2 then...but I'm going to wait until I get R2 to buy them OK

The two cases I have are still for sale.

A seller in Japan that I've dealt alot with in the past e-mailed me back and said the depth of the R2-D2 bubble is 1 9/16" deep including the thickness of the card itself.

The cases I have are right at 1 3/4" inside depth.          They will be perfect for all three of the MOC Kubrick figures.

Please send me a Private Message if anyone is interrested in them.

I also accept Paypal.

Well, he sent Brent and I emails showing some slight damage to one (???) of the cards showing that there were some imperfections (tears in the card, lifting of the bubble etc) that he didn't want to sell them to us anymore and was looking for mint ones.  Basically the 5 of us that bought them all told him we would take the non-mint ones anyway.  The guy has impeccable 100% feedback and I think he was worried that non-mintness would mean unhappy customers which wasn't the case.  We'll see what happens, he told us all he was working on getting replacements, there is no word on if he is working on getting us the damaged ones or not :-\

I hope it works for for you guys!    :)

I've bought a few MIB Kubrick's from the same seller at different times in the past and have had no problems at all.

I wish I could have got in on one of the "BIN" auctions he had.       :(

Details to follow when issue resolves.  It's more complicated than just what I indicated.  I promise to tell you as soon as I can, but even if he's not a member here, I'm not going to disparage anyone unless it's absolutely necessary.  I'll go so far to say that potential for disappointment exists at the moment :-\  But again, nothing is consistent.

I know that 5 MOC Kubrick R2-D2's on e-Bay had a "BIN" price of $96.88.

I figure that a few members here got the "BIN" on those.

Is that seller not going to follow through on sending those out for such a "cheap" price compared to all the others that have sold after that for $150.00++?

I hope that's not the case!    >:(

Almost sounds like the guy saw that he listed them too "cheap" after the fact?

I think $96.88 is a more realistic price point on the R2's!         Actually, I have a feeling there's actually LESS MOC Luke's than total R2's after all 2004 will be availible!       That's just a guess, though.

Damn dude.  $430?!  Wow.  You realize you just missed a cheaper one last week,  right here?

I don't think anyone's answered my other question on the R2 though.  When are the other 1,504 supposed to be available to folks in Japan?

I got the one in the link shown above.      I'm really amazed nobody even placed a bid on it other than me?!?!       I'm glad, though... Simon is always a great guy to deal with!      :)

I think it was already answered, but the other 1,504 MOC Kubrick R2-D2's are due out in May as a lottery for the Medicom Fan Club members in Japan.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply, but I think he is covered for cases already.

He did mention to me that the bubble on the MOC Kubrick R2-D2 looks deeper than the Fett and Luke bubbles.

I think that he may be right.      I haven't got an R2 yet to confirm.

The inside depth on my two cases is 1 5/8".

The Luke and Fett bubbles (including the thickness of the card) are exactly 1 1/4" deep.

Maybe someone can reply here with a bubble depth on their R2 when they receive it?
