Me thinks this is way to high a price.  :o

That makes me sick. What kind of idiot would sell that for $5000?

It's not who would sell it, but Who would buy that?

That's cool and all, but I think it's a bit high priced myself.

This is so there are no words to describe how I am feeling.
This is just WRONG!!! I had extra of this figure that I let go for $20.00 each which included the shipping and insurance.
In this hobby people should help each other, not take advantage of them. Man do I feel sick.

Crazy indeed, but there are certainly more than enough suckers in this world who continue to help make sellers and dealers like this exist, unfortunately.  I'd be really surprised if this one panned out for him though...

Looks like the seller just dropped the opening bid price from $3,000 down to $2,500, and the BIN price from $5,000 down to $3,500.  At least he's starting to wise up, if only just a little...   :-\

First time I've ever seen an AFA 100 figure though, on a TF Vader no less.  Pretty cool item!   8)  Not $2,500 cool though!   :o   ::)

If you happen to have one...

Is the bubble attached at the bottom of the figure to the card?  Mine is not, and several others told me there's is not as well.

One fried confirmed his was.  I just want to get an idea if there is a mix bag of attached vs. non attached bubbles for this figure.

Did they send you your replacement Matthew, and the new one wasn't attached either?!?   :-\  If so, that totally sucks!  Like you said, mine is indeed very much attached at the bottom.  Haven't heard of any other people mentioning issues about loose bubbles, so that'd be news to me if it was the case.  Good luck with it bud...

Mine is not attached, in that you could slip a piece of paper in there if you wanted, but ther'es no flat edge for it to attach to the card really.  It's only attached where the flat edge of the bubble on the sides runs down a little ways to the bottom, but the center area of the bottom is open.

Matt doublecheck for me.

Jesse and my situation appears to be the norm from what I have heard from about six people so far.

I just checked mine & it's exactly like you mentioned Jesse.

I think this is a wrap, I heard back from 3-4 more people.  This figure did not come sealed.  I even had pictures sent to me.

So my TF Vader is not deffective after all ;D

Grroovvyy!

Merry Christmas to all JDer's,

The Toy Fair Vader is a figure that seems to have really held its value over time. That last few I've seen on eBay still go for about $175US, give or take. I've just never been willing to spend that much on it, despite it being a very unique figure with the saber going through the bubble.

A friend of mine offered me one for $170CDN, about $140US, which is very fair with today's value (and considering he paid $200CDN for it). But I just couldn't convince myself to spend that much - one moment I regret it, the next I'm glad I didn't spend the money.

Any others still needing this?

He fluctuates back and forth.

Not too long ago I saw him ending around $100 or so on ebay.  Now (as you said) he's back up to $150.

I remember when Hasbro handed him out at TF - auctions were ending close to $500.  It's almost like attendees were leaving the building, going back to their hotel rooms, and listing him right then and there!

I would've sold him too for $500; given the opportunity!

I was fortuneate enough to get two from the fanclub, and traded one over at Galactic Hunter.  I dont even remember what I traded it for ???.  I actually used my Jedi Points in the auctions a few years back to score my opener.

I  was  able  to  get  2  as  well,  one  to  keep  carded  and  one  to  open.  I  promised  my  friend  I'd  hold  off  opening  one  until  he  was  able  to  get  his  own,  but  he  never  had  the  chance.  I  gave  it  to  him  on  his  40th  birthday.  I  would  have  rather  opened  it  than  sell  it  to  some  stranger  who  has  more  money  than  he  knows  what  to  do  with,  for  a  ton  of  cash  I  surely  would  have  blown  by  now  on  more  Star  Wars  stuff,  and  I  didn't  have  the  heart  to  open  it  when  my  friends  missed  out.  I'm  happy  with  my  decision.

I got 2 from the fan club and traded one for a Georg Sacul when he first came out. :P
