You know how there are a few figures on your shelf that you just hope to see a new version made soon, because you can barely stand to keep them among your other figures? Well, Yakface was one of those for me. So I did a pretty extensive repaint and drybrush of his entire body. I also put a dab of hobby varnish on his eyes and fingernails for a little shine!

Now that is a sweet job! Nice to have the comparison shot, too. You should be working for Hasbro... if they redo this, I hope Yak gets a bit more articulation.

Whoa! now that's COOL!! SWEET JOB! :D

Very nice. I'd sure like for Big H to revisit good ol' Yakface some day, but until then yours is as good as it gets.

great weathering, the colors look much better and are reminiscent of the vintage fig
thanks for sharing

It does improve the figure considerably. Now you need to do that to the vintage version.
-
Very cool! I really wish Hasbro would give us a better Yakface. The paintjob made a real difference though, great job!

great work man. that yak looks great, your drybrushing really is well done and so is your detail work on the shiny finger nails/eyes, you even did the blade on the vibro staff.
my only suggestion would be to hit the boots. they look way to plastic when compared to the awsome realism of the rest of the figure.
great work daigo bah, i enjoy seeing your work. :)

That looks awesome, much better than the version we got. Much closer to the vintage one.

What a difference. It's a new figure.
