This set is kinda far out, so hopefully the final product looks better. The blue is waaaayyyy too shiny and the gray is too bland. Hopefully they end up looking closer to the Mando that comes with the Vespa Scooter Speeder Bike.

An army builder's dream there.

Same with Ackbar's head and Wicket's entire body from what I've seen so far...Not sure what's up with that.

An army builder's dream there.

Not in my eye$.  I still don't get why we're getting 1 less figure and we're paying $4 more in these sets, but I'm sure McMetal and others are happy.   :)

I assume it's just because they are prototypes and not production pieces.

An army builder's dream there.

Indeed a good Army Builder there and customisers dream too, many colour and weathering options could be applied.

I'll be looking for them to add to my collection for sure.

Yeah, Jayson's right.  These items are all hand-painted prototypes...  Final figures will be significantly different looking, and always are, compared to the show pieces.

Eh, not that exciting... at least not to me.

Not much in the CW styling really is to me though.

Yeah, I'm digging it. The whole price/value thing does not really play into it for me, but I agree it'd be nice to have more for the $$$.

Were there any pics of the ARC Troopers set that is reportedly part of this BP wave?

We received a production image of one of the Death Watch Mando Warrior battlepack figures today.  Just head on out to www.JediDefender.com to check him out...  Note that he's not shiney. :)  Everyone should be happy now, right?

Thanks for the pics JJ. They have me excited about this set. I'm hoping that at least one rifle will be included in the final release... can't have all the Mandos using pistols!

Tunghori has all four versions up for sale now individually priced at - I am pretty sure - $6.99.

I'm really looking forward to this set. I wish they'd do more army building sets like this in the realistic line.

They do!

Hasbro has been helping us build an army of Darth Vaders for years now!  :P

This is a great set...just picked it up today. There's sort of a metallic eggshell finish to silver Mando paint apps that is awesome.

Even the diorama is one of the coolest ones I have seen, kind of a 3D relief effect, ala Nahdar Vebb.

To those who have picked up the set, how different is the paint job on these Mandos compared to the one from the DLX Speeder Bike set?

I know the set has some unique weapons that the DLX bike version and the basic carded versions won't/don't have, but if the paint jobs are similar I think I'll pass on the $25 box and just buy the DLX bike set and 1x basic figure to flank my Pre Vizsla.

The speeder Mando is darker/different than the BP set, closer in color to Pre Vizsla.

Yes, I found it at TRU last week along with the ARC Troopers BP. They only had 1 of each on the shelves. I have not heard about this hitting anyplace else yet, but I'm sure it will eventually.

I found this Battlepack tonight at a WalMart on my way home.

I was thinking originally getting two of this set to open, but the Mandos are so similar, I think I'm gonna stick to just one set to open.

Besides accessories, are there any differences to the Mandos in this set? I'm pretty tired so I might be missing the obvious, but at first glance it looks to me like they are all the same.

Saw this on the shelves today for only the 2nd time, at Target of all places. Don't recall this having been spotted there. I'm still toying with the idea of picking a second one up, but no real urgency there.
