Looks like Sony has a new premium online service for $50 a year. They also show off the new Playstation Move controler. Looks like a magic microphone to me.

meh...I'll just go to my Wii if I want to play any motion type game.  Nintendo already has my $ for that kinda stuff.

I'm reserving judgment.  From some reports I read, the Move is actually substantially better for FPS games... more natural, more accurate, and faster than the DualShock.  I think it all depends on the software... if they implement the controller well, it might be awesome.

I understand you have to use the PS3 camera with it. The camera reads the position of the ping pong ball on top of the controller. Pretty cheezy if you ask me. Why not just use a simple RF bar and bluetooth like the Wii does?

Much better accuracy, apparently.  It's also better for tracking in 3D space, since the PS3 can calculate relative depth based on the size of the bulb.

Infamous 2 gameplay vid

Pretty damn intense.  I can't fathom why they changed his voice so much, but I'll try not to let it bug me too much.

I really enjoyed InFamous and I'm looking forward to the sequel - at a good price though.

Finished Wolfenstien this morning (lame endinig, but good game) and moved on to RE5, but it's very difficult to get head shots in the bright hot sun.  Gave up on the game an hour or so in when I ran out of ammo in a mining tunnel.  Off to Killzone 2.

And now they've updated to say 1080p will be supported.  Very interesting.  (They've just added Netflix to the Canadian market.  Woot!)

Picked up FF XIII, GOW III, and Uncharted 2 at Gamestop with their B2GOF sale.  Got all the way home and the prick forgot to put the discs in the cases...No worries.  Guess they have some new Power Up rewards program thing.  I'll be busy for awhile...

I had the 60GB model so I miss the card slots, but apart from that the slim version is a lot quieter and seems to use less power.

I haven't touched my PSP in ages, but still this looks pretty sweet.

This answer is probably buried in this thread already but I'm don't want to sift through 39 pages to find out.

Has anyone upgraded their Hard Drive on their PS3?  My son has a 40GB PS3 and he's basically filled it up with games, saved games, and the like.  I was doing some internet searching and it looks like the PS3 is actually made to be upgraded and I've upgrading various PCs several times so I'm not foreign to the concept.  I'm just wondering what people's experience's are with upgrading the PS3.

Also, any recommendations for a drive?  As best as I can tell it just needs to be a "slim" style hard drive.  I'm going to start shopping around as my son thinks a nice beefy HD would be a good birthday present.
