I guess this possible SDCC/Pulse TVC Emperor+Throne set would explain why they haven't revealed the rumored basic card Emperor figure yet (the single carded version is supposed to be in the wave with IG-11, ESB Lando, and Teebo).

This really is THE way to make a ROTJ Emporer Palpatine. Throne? Check! Cane? Check! Force Lighting? CHECK!!!!
Executing the softgoods well continues to be a challenge, but without them the figure would potentially be a statue and you couldn't make the choice of posing him in the throne or with the other accessories. And I think I might wind up buying at least 2 of these.
And good catch on seeing the different backgrounds, Rob. Because I totally missed that detail.

I just realized that Pulsecon happens during my kids' fall break from school where, best case scenario, we'll be at Disneyland. I hope I'm able to pick this up without having to go through ebay.

Yeah, same here. We'll just be travelling to exotic Wisconsin, but snagging this while on the go will be tougher.

Ugh...this is such a foolish thing to make a con exclusive. Are you telling me that fan channel wouldn't have fully supported this? I get not sending it to big-box retailers, but seriously...this is a must-have for fans.
I'm getting all my complaining out ahead of time.

I did and I’m probably pretty close to breaking even at this point, but considering I could get free shipping from Target and Amazon and only order from Pulse for exclusives or as a last resort, it hasn’t been anything more than a very average deal.

I sprung for the renewal. But the reality is that there hasn't been any kind of meaningful access to Star Wars products with the Pulse Premium membership. And I've become more wary of ordering from Hasbro Pulse because so many other retailers get their product in well before Pulse will ever ship your orders of the same items.
But the whole pitch about EARLY ACCESS? What a load of crap.

Yeah, I would have been PISSED if I had paid for the Premium membership already. I was actually contemplating joining right before Pulse Con to improve my odds of getting the exclusives, but Hasbro shrewdly managed to kill the possibility of that potential income as well. ::)

Ive just been placing orders at regular retailers, and Pulse. Then canceling Pulse orders if the other places come through first. It's a nice backup plan, and the free shipping does give me some flexibility to order one figure here and two figures there, where without it it would only make sense to place orders for full waves together.

Yeah…this is my last year having this membership. I’m going to miss out on the Emperor, so I might s well start looking at ebay now. Has bro Pulse is usually last in sending items out so I’ll just go to EE, Amazon for what I want because they will get to me sooner!
I like the free shipping, but unless I purchase enough to cover the money for the membership (which is a low bar), it’s just not worth the wait.

I downloaded the Hasbro Pulse App and entered my account info. I’m going to try and use it to grab on of these Emperors (they have a favorites tab so I saved it to there.)

I had my wife refreshing the app while I was driving. Once we were able to add it to the cart, it took several refreshes to process the cart…I’m assuming it was due to volume. Still, I was able to get one! Glad I won’t have to pay scalper prices to get this.

Pretty easy ordering on all of these this time. I'm not sure they made improvements or if I was just in the right window, but I found this easily enough on EE with free shipping along with the set of 4 TPM figures.

I was wondering that myself, especially since so many of these turned up in Europe and Mexico. The product listing on Hasbro Pulse says they have a February delivery date. It really makes you wonder about this.

The Pulse Con exclusives were like the Heroes of Endor set last year - there was an in-stock allotment and then that rolled over into a "pre-order" allotment. Some folks will get them right away and then others will have to wait until the second batch around the Feb 2022 ship date (lets hope that does not get delayed like the Heroes of Endor set).

Maybe I'm the dumb one for not thinking this would work like last year but I don't like these being listed with 2022 release dates and then all shipping 3 days later. I wasn't expecting a $180 hit today.

I think it was 50/50 last year. Early orders got shipped pretty quick, while others had to wait nine months to get theirs fulfilled.

I went to a local toy show over the weekend - probably the first one I've been to in years! Sure enough, one of the sellers had the Emporer's Throne Room and one of the other Star Wars exclusives from Hasbro Pulse Con for sale. I'm wondering if I should have bitten for the second Throne Room set for $55.

Like Nick, I also tried to order one from this restock (which would have been my second overall) but the "1 per customer" limit is still in place and blocked me from ordering. I guess that's nice that Hasbro is trying to make sure everyone gets a chance at them, but maybe the limit should reset since it's been 6 months (and I'd like a second to keep packaged)?

I'm in favor of limits, but they're too restrictive. One per is too few.
Same thing as the Target prototype stuff... six variants, limit of 2 per customer?
