The Vintage Collection / Re: Walmart TVC "Original 96" Exclusives

VC190 Paploo
VC191 Princess Leia (Endor)
VC192 AT-ST Driver

Like many of you, I agree that Walmart getting these as exclusives is just mind-boggling.

As much of a pain & a chore the Walmart exclusives have been - this past week has brought the ability to order figures that had long been unavailable/sold out. I was able to order (and I received today) the Black Series Mandalorian Super Commando and Mandalorian Loyalist - this time shipped in a box so that the items arrived in a non-crushed state.

And starting Wednesday according to tracking, my remaining eight Incinerator Troopers that I had originally pre-ordered, had cancelled and then ordered over the weekend when it went back up should start arriving.

What boggles my mind is the fact that (a) Walmart canceled everyone's orders in the first place; and (b) is SO inept when it comes to their own inventory, that they had ZERO idea that more stock was coming since they mailed out notices saying that they were absolutely, positively "never" getting any more.

I understand that Star Wars toys are just a grain of sand in a desert of WalMart merchandise, but with computer tracking these days, it should be something that a single nation-wide toy merchandise manager *should* be able to manage.

I'm holding out hope that they will comment on the Incinerator Trooper during the stream on Friday and announce that it will be coming mid-to-late 2021 via the Fan Channel to give everyone who wants it (and it multiples) the chance to get it.

I read somewhere, might have been the Vintage Collector Group on Facebook, might have been a post over on JTA - sorry, I can't recall - anyway, this one guy contacted them complaining about the pin AND the fact that it arrived crushed in a mailer bag and he got the whole amount of the order refunded.

Like Nick - I'm just happy mine arrived and I didn't care about the pin one bit. Like I said to one of my other collector friends - I was slightly worried that they might take the pin and actually PIN IT to the cardback which would have made me a million times more frustrated/angry - so there are scenarios that could have been MUCH worse.

The two of these that arrived today which brings my total to five were shipped in a mailer bag, which completely negates the effectiveness of flagging an order as being a gift as this order was flagged as a gift. They were completely crushed, but I'm okay with that as I wanted some to open anyway.

Glad to finally be "done" with this item.

Now on to the headache of the Incinerator Trooper... *sigh*

Well now it's out of stock.  I wonder if they're fixing it, or if enough rubes bought these for $32.50 each to have them sell out again.

Well - I bought a pair for $32.50 and then got them to price adjust it down to $12.99 - just to ensure that I would get the item.

I'm sure they're going to ship them to me in a mailer envelope so they'll arrive crushed to ****. But at least then all I'll have to do is buy a single MOMC one off ebay for $100 and be done with it.

Wow - you went for all four - well done Rob. I still have only gotten Blue and White/Silver so far. I still need to acquire the Orange and Red ones.

I had hoped this item would have shown up on the Galaxy's Edge section added to the Shop Disney app, but oh well....

Mine is cancelled as well. I'm assuming it won't go back up tomorrow if the bottom of the ocean story is true.

If it is - here's hoping that Hasbro will offer the item up to the fan channel - like Jeff, I wanted a squad of these - I had four orders of two figures each (cause that's what they limited you to).

If EE or BBTS had these available for order right now, I'd gladly order a case of 8 from them.

All my preorders for this item were cancelled today.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

This is so bizarre and stupid... my orders from back in October when this item went up for presale were cancelled.

When the item went back up for availability and I noticed that you could order more than two (and based on my bad experience with the Ahsoka TBS wave), I made an order for three of them and flagged the order as a gift order.

My gift order was maintained and WalMart shipped the three figures in three separate shipments - I'm not sure why. One of them was shipped in a box that was too small for the figure. The other two were individually shipped in boxes that were big enough that could have accommodated three figures each, so it's really silly that they were shipped individually instead of in a single box.

And now, as I write this post, I get alerts that ALL of my Incinerator Trooper pre-orders from back from September have been cancelled.  >:(

Got an email today that one of my orders for this figure was canceled.  >:(

And it was my oldest preorder too.

I've had my mint-in-box sets of these for quite a while, but since they started being available on the Disney Shop@Home app on the 4th of January, I went ahead and grabbed openers to add to my obsessive Build-a-Droid collection.

I originally didn't think I would be that "thrilled" with these, after all, I would much rather have the excellent Droid Factory Chopper from Rebels, PERMANENTLY painted in the Imperial Deco, released as a single carded figure much like the regular deco version was released at SWCO back in 2017.

But I'm actually having a lot of fun letting the cool dry air of my basement keep the figures in their "cold" colors and then occasionally holding them in front of the space-heater I have at my desk to put them in their "warm" color state.

So if you were thinking about these, but the eBay prices were keeping you away from scoring them, they can be had for their $40 park price right now at shop.disney.com

Got these two in my shipment from Orlando yesterday and they are both great. I was pleasantly surprised to see that 4-LOM has a new sculpt on the right hand - with a trigger finger, different from the protocol droid right-arm sculpt.

Also that CB-23 has a completely new dome sculpt, this is now the fifth ball-droid dome sculpt that the Droid Factory team has released. Hopefully they will continue to offer unique colors/designs with the different domes.

Disney Parks Droid Factory / Re: Droid Depot Droids - 5 Pack
« on: December 27, 2020, 10:51 AM »
My shipment from Orlando with this set arrived yesterday and it is a really great set. It's amazing how the Disney Droid Factory team continues to hit it out of the park, yet Hasbro can't get their act together. Had no idea that the GNK droid was going to be a completely new sculpt, thought it was just a different colored version of the Droid Factory GNK we've gotten twice already, pleasantly pleased to see that it was all new. So basically you get three all new sculpts with a new color deco on the R4 and R5 build-a-droid sculpt - definitely a great set.

Got my two today - ridiculous fast shipping considering that I got the alert that the order had shipped on Monday and by Tuesday mid-day they were in my possession.

This is my first 6" Speeder Bike (I'm late to the Black Series game and have yet to acquire the original Speeder Bike w/Biker Scout set or the Shadow Squad Target exclusive).

Great set to have - very happy to add it to my growing 6" Mandalorian collection.

Was hoping that it was a full Grogu in the bag and that he could come out, but I had seen a review a couple weeks back and knew it was just a head plugged into a solid bag. I guess that's okay but for the price of the set and the fact that this is the third time they're getting use out of the Speeder Bike and the fourth time they're getting use out of the Biker Scout sculpt, seems to me that for the price, they could have done a bit better with the bag & child accessory.

Collect All 92! / Re: Vintage Figures Which Have Not Been Updated
« on: December 17, 2020, 11:26 AM »
The idea that there's no Sim Aloo figure has been bugging me for over a decade now.  He creeped me out as a kid... they did two other dignitaries.

Just make a 3 pack of the rest, or a 5-pack with the others being repacked, then re-release Sim Aloo on a vintage card, and be done with it.

I would love it if they did a three pack like the Skiff Guards, but only have it be three Imperial Dignitaries, each individually carded inside the larger package.

Make it a fan-channel item and be done with them once and for all...

Same thing could be done for the remaining Ewoks. I'm still surprised we don't have an updated Chief Chirpa on TVC cardback yet either...

How much for your opener Mando?  With the bum leg on mine I'm interested in replacing him and returning my other one.

With tax they were $18.85 each - I wasn't charged for shipping - so essentially it would be $18.85 plus the cost of shipping to you.
