Mine got here today. Can't decide if I am going to open now (after reading Jeff's story) or wait until December. I probably will chance it and wait. :P

Looks like a today only "Toy Tuesday" sale will get you $25 off the Advent set - just $55 right now.

I wish I would have waited this one out and saved :(

Yeah, its so hard to tell what is going to happen with Disney droids.  Sometimes they sell out in a day only to never be seen again and then other times you can be patient and land a decent deal.

I too paid full price, but I guess I'd rather have this item then to have a hole in my collection where I'm always looking to fill but the secondary markets are nuts (pride droid).

I ended up deciding to open these gradually. Looks like the Gingerbread R2 is up first. It has been fun so far only pulling a piece out at a time, it takes me back to the TLC BAD days where you'd have to wait to assemble the droid until you found each figure at retail.

I just cracked mine open too, although I thought the order in which they gave you parts is odd, so I opened the first five or so bags that got me the whole droid.  Starting with a leg and some accessories worried me that I'd lose these somehow.  I guess I've got a few days before I can open my next droid.

Agree on the order, I would have thought the torsos would have been the first piece you should open for a new droid so that you could then plug in all the subsequent parts over the next few days. It seemed odd to start with the bar accessory.

Got my advent calendar set today.  After what happened to me last time, I'm going to likely just rip it all open this weekend and skip the daily advent opening thing. :P

And I should have listened to Jeff...

Everything was going great, until today when I decided to open the last few days since we are going out of town over the holiday. The piece on the 25th ended up being an error. My calendar has two of the Milk Bar pieces and was missing the final head for the Mickey Chopper unit.  >:(

Ugh, that sucks.  Hope Disney can do something for you...

So far they gave me a $5.00 promo code, and allowed me to return the entire calendar for a full refund, because apparently, it is now out of stock and they don't have spare parts to send.

I may try to ask if they can credit me down to the sale price, but don't have hope for much on that front.

Update: after another few emails I was able to get Disney to give me a $15.99 (20%) refund on the original full purchase price. Still a bit annoying, but it is outside the standard 30-day window and I still got something so I'll take it. I looked on eBay and found one of the chopper units to bid on, it was a really low starting bid, hopefully it doesn't end up going much over $20.
