It's uncommon, I'll say that. I had never seen a red-boxed one before. I bought it because I'm stupid.

Apparently Aldi's stores are getting the Snake Men line. I know what I'm doing tomorrow morning, and it's not sleeping or working...

It blows that the Two Towers EE gift set is more expensive than the Fellowship set. The TT set has less in it.

Fellowship:
4-disc Movie
Argonath bookends
LOTR National Geographic Special on DVD
TTT movie ticket
I bought this set for $50.

Two Towers:
4-disc  Movie
Statue of a naked former Hobbit
44-page book
DVD showing the process of creating LOTR collectibles
And the average price for this is $57. Blow.

Eh, since I'm such New Line's bitch, I'm buying the gift set anyway.

Darth Rosenberg's been delayed until March, and Diamond is now handling distribution for the Buffy line. Good and bad news, I guess.

Love 'em. I signed up new today under the 'evenflow' moniker. I had a name there that I never used, then they relaunched the board or something, and I had to reregister. I'm liking the fact I can just use profanity without fear of being banned or getting the riot act from wannabe mods. (Not people from here, but site-that-shall-not-be-named.)

I notice a lot of crap, but it's still a great place to be.

Oh yeah, ASS!!!

Ass.

I just want to type it again. Ass. It's almost as fun as the Red Mosquito boards.

I don't think a band like Pearl Jam would pull that stunt on their fans. Who knows, I guess.

I did some digging, and I guess the song's title is '4-20-02', and the song is a tribute to Layne Staley. Guess that's all cleared up for me now.

I'll buy any Padme, Obi-Wan (OT and PT), or R2-D2 figure, especially the last one.

After this sale ended last week, my local Target actually had new stuff. It was the Bail wave. Nothing on Saturday, new stuff on Sunday morning. Foul, I cry.

OK...I have only listened to disc 1 so far of Lost Dogs, but i came up with a list of stuff that they could have included as well (especially the Singles and Merkinball stuff):

Angel
Breath
Happy When I'm Crying
I Got ****
Leatherman
Olympic Platinum
State of Love and Trust
The Long Road

And there are a bunch of covers that they have studio recorded that probably wouldn't be on these but they could have included them:

Don't Believe in Christmas
Against the 70's
Can't Help Falling In Love Again
Crazy Mary
Gimme Some Truth
Hunger Strike
Last Soldier
Soldier of Love
Sonic Reducer
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away

Some of the new songs are pretty good, some of them aren't, I watched part of the DVD last night...also some good stuff

Right now I am listening to TTT Soundtrack :-*

Have you checked out CD 2 of Lost Dogs yet, OCB? I found a hidden track after 'Bee Girl' and I don't recognize it, like at all. You have to let the CD keep playing, and when it gets to 6:01 another song starts.

I was hoping for 'Long Road' and 'Crazy Mary' to be on this, but someone didn't think that was kosher, I guess.

I wouldn't consider it 'pirating' since these versions will never be available on DVD. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have an official version of the unmolested trilogy and would sooner buy that than a bootlegged copy.

But them's just my ethics at work.

I've seen this case firsthand at my local Target. Thanks for nothing, Mattel.

I voted 'Other' and wrote in Lord of the Rings, pretty much because of the TTT line. ROTK is utter shite in comparison.

You also might want to be on the lookout for red-boxed Smeagols. I found two at my local KB. No luck in finding a red-boxed Boromir or Gimli, however.

I found the There and Back Again set at my local TRU, and I searched all the sets they had to find a Bilbo that didn't have clown-like painting and a Pippin that wasn't cross-eyed. The employees were like 'what the hell is he doing?' but I'm not buying any screwy figures for a $30 set.
