McQuarrie concept Darth Vader is now in stock at Gentle Giant's site.  Looks like they only let you order one.

Thanks for the note.  I ordered one.  Not sure if I should have given my general ability to find these cheaper on the secondary market but I like this one enough to actually pay retail for it.

I've been following auctions of this one and they have been going for $125, but they're also brand new and hadn't been easily available.

Yeah, no doubt the price would be up.  Probably the biggest contributing factor for me is that GG ships it to my place directly for cheaper than just about any other seller would/could.  Under $10 to Canada?  Liking it.

I'm just inherently cheap with huge amounts of patience for most things.  Seeing the Mara Jade and Shocktrooper busts on Ebay for under $100 makes me wince, even though it's been years.  I could wait a couple of years for a McQuarrie Vader bust  ;)

But I've bought so little in the way of toys this year I just didn't really care.  All I've bought is a box of Kubrick dlx, one Kubrick chase figure and an Endor Han figure.  A few diecast cars (3) a bustups and that's about it.  Prior to that I hadn't bought anything since I bought some McFarlane hockey figures.

OMG that is funny...I checked last week they had sold 3 in 2 months.  It will be even funnier if they don't sell them at C5

I have a feeling these are going to go pretty quick at this price. It's really a shame that it came to this, but with such a high edition size, it was doomed from the start.

While I'm at it, I just opened my Darth Talon Mini-Bust this evening and I'm quite impressed. A fine addition to the Expanded Universe collection for sure.

Wow, the site shows them (McQuarrie Vader) as still available. I think they should be considering smaller edition sizes- The last thing GG needs is another Renz episode.

They're actually selling these at CV, all day today and likely the rest of the show.

So what's the deal as far as a CV exclusive goes?  I thought 2-1B was the exclusive, but he's not available until December (which probably means April)... did they just not have one?
