Grabbed a SOTDS Spacesuit Anakin figure for $5 on clearance at Tuesday Morning, along with the last Brain Invaders 2-pack for about $6.

I picked up two Darth Malgus' from Tuesday Morning yesterday for $5.99 each. Those were the only TVC figures they had. I hit 3 other TM stores locally and found a few others, Hoth Luke, Maul, etc.

Cool, I could have swore I kept seeing Bo Katan in there. Does one of the chicks wear Mando armor?

Ugh, what a kick to the nuts. Not surprising though, they really seem to excel at finding a way to piss everyone off with these things.

I will of course be buying one, but I think I'm going to try the pre-order route this time instead of waiting until after the fact like last year.

This is gonna hit $200+ on eBay easy...

Ah, thanks, was wondering who those guys were. I am SO excited for this line, I can't wait!

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends Figures

Me neither, that is cool. The Jedi Temple Guard is clearly not a Rebels figure as they would have been long gone by the time that series starts, this has to be Hasbro throwing us another bone and releasing one of the Clone Wars figures they already had in production before the line was aborted (as per that rumor report) and I am super, super grateful they decided to do this.

Now, if we can just get Pong Krell and Rako Hardeen who were also on that list, I'd be over the moon.  ;D

Some of those look really cool but I have no idea who the characters are or what the media sourcing is supposed to be...are some of these upcoming Rebels packs maybe? Sabine? Kitwarr? Chultro Vizago?!?

I'm even more keen to see some of those upcoming single carded figures...Jedi Temple Guard FTW!!!

Welcome aboard Neal!  :)

Yeah, they are fantastic toys and it's absolutely not too late to jump in...they will be re-issuing the previous Jaegers in 2-packs soon so you won't have to sweat paying too much for the ones you might have missed on the secondary market.

I am eagerly awaiting news of who will be in the next wave besides Scunner. And any news on the 18" Knifehead due out soon...

LEGO / Re: Simpsons

I don't know why they would not consider doing a proper line for this brand like Star Wars, Harry Potter, LOTR, and every other license they have pretty much ever dealt with. They can't possibly think it wouldn't sell well, these things are insanely awesome and I would buy everything they put out and I am not even a Lego guy at all.

At the very least they should put the house in places like Target or TRU where more people could get a shot at it. The closest Lego store is over 2 hours away from here.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series - 2014 Wave 1

Stormtrooper is back in stock at TRU.com for $17.99 plus shipping. I just grabbed another, will have to get the price adjusted in store since they could not help me with this online. (30% off prices only show up on select 6" figures, what a rip-off)

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Max Von Sydow FTW!

Brilliant!

Edit: after reading through IMDB, I am pretty impressed with these choices, outside of Driver, who we are stuck with, so whatever.

Great pedigrees for Boyega (Attack the Block) and Gleeson (Deathly Hallows), don't know anything about Oscar or Daisy's prior work though.

Wonder if Serkis will be playing a live action role or some kind of CGI thing?

None of those actors is a young African American female either, so you have to wonder about all that Obi-Wan stuff.

Geez, how the heck did I forget to post here for the past 2 months?!?!

Anyway, I finally watched them in big screen HD glory, my bro was able to rip the off the internets with superb quality.

They were a delight, for sure. The animation was spectacular! Aside from the Clovis arc they were all pretty much enjoyable. I thought  they hit some real false notes on that one with the Muun though, not at all what I would have expected based on their depictions in the Darth Plagueis novel.

The Jar Jar/Mace stuff was sort of goofy and unexpected, throwing in Talzin was a deft touch though. The Order 66 arc was hellaciously cool but it has been so long now that one has already started to fade from memory a bit. Sure wish we had some of those McQuarrie clones though. Sifo Dyas was always the huge question mark for me from the PT, so I'm glad they attempted to provide some clarity there.

Nothing beats that Yoda arc though. It was like a crazy sequel to the Mortiis trilogy. I'm always down for any weird force stuff. Seeing Korraban was so cool too, and of course Bane, though I wished they would have drawn him a little closer to the action figure interpretation. Just a lot of cool stuff going on in there.

Can't wait for the inevitable Blu-Ray release!

Star Wars Universe / Re: Disney to Purge Select EU
« on: April 29, 2014, 12:46 PM »
Was the Tartakovsky series specifically mentioned as being out? I assumed that would be included in the "canon" media along with the 3D animated series.

Thinking back, there is really nothing in there to contradict anything else that is likely to be covered. Even Durge can easily be dovetailed into the existing continuity.

Some of that stuff, particularly the lead-in to ROTS, is fairly noteworthy, it seems to me.

Expanding upon Jesse's droid idea, what would you guys think about blind packed Build-A-Droid parts? Imagine the parts for an astro split across four separate bags, at maybe $2-$3 per bag. That could be a solid way to expand the Disney concept to everyone.

That is a great idea! Anything they can do to expand the access to those things would be welcomed, I think.

I saw a bunch of the newest wave at a comic convention today for $14.99 each, which is pretty terrific for con pricing. They also had the Daryl and motorcycle set for $40. Our TRU never re-stocked that item after they sold the initial case weeks ago.
