The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Recent Clone Wars Finds/Purchases
« on: March 29, 2014, 08:46 PM »
Snagged a Geonosian Speeder Deluxe Set @ TRU for $9 on clearance. Also picked up a few more Phase II clones at 5 Below, can't have too many of those guys.

Yeah... sucks.

To me Gwar is the second greatest thing to come out of Richmond - after Avail.

Lamb of God?  ;D

Jesse, that was Slymenstra you saw, and yes, she is amazing.

Ugh, pains me to hear those two shows mentioned in the same breath. (Sorry, I tried, but TF is just terrible)

My 2 potential theories on Terminus:

1) Cannibals

2) Crazy religious cult

Oh man, beat me to the punch...right here in little old Richmond, VA.

Farewell, you crazy, brilliant freak... :'(

Hard to see them continuing on without him but I admit they've fallen off my radar after the past few albums anyway.

One guy saw Rick under the bed before passing out

I thought that guy was killed? Need to go back and re-watch that now...

Awesome episode, can't believe we're already to the season final already.

Tasha Yar at Terminus? Nice.

Glenn/Maggie reunion? Nice. Very telling moment for him in the tunnel with Tara too, I figured she would be a goner. He has really come into his own as a character.

I guess I get that Daryl maybe just needs to be with someone at this point, but how much longer is he really going to put up with those dbags? (And what, did he just doze off while they were beating that dude to death? He acts all surprised when he wakes up...)

I'm shocked those dumbasses were even able to figure out what happened back in the house with Rick. I don't recall one of them spotting him in that episode but maybe while he was running away? Revenge doesn't really seem to serve the self interests of a bunch of guys like that so I'm not sure I buy they would be going out of their way like that but I guess it serves to drive the story at this point.

TD with Glenn and Eugene was awesome, those guys had great insights to share.

Well, she's already been training for weeks for her stint on Dancing With the Stars, which just debuted Monday, so she's definitely got some toning and cardio working well for her. I think she had good genes to begin with though so it's just adding to her super-hotness. Always liked her...she can dance too.

Watch it all the time but it has to be taken with a grain of salt. It's set up like Storage *cough* Jarrod Megos *cough* Wars , Storage Hunters, Pawn Stars, flip this & flip that etc.. I like some of the nostalgia toys & seeing what is out in collections/hoarding land plus seeing my good friend David Gaule working with Jordan.

It's a reality popcorn show. Oh, those 12 bks...   ;D

Is the a reference to when that dude with the hot wife found all those old 70's superhero figures in that one storage locker? That's one of the few episodes I have actually seen and I'll admit, it got me super excited, but am I to think that was all a set-up now? I guess that wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah, that was painful to watch...I literally was worried he was going to keel over right there on stage. Who thought that was a good idea?

You guys that are finding these at Target and TRU: where are you geographically?

I live in Virginia and I have found 1 case at Target but so far no sightings at TRU here, although they get 3 trucks this week starting today so I'm curious if their arrival is imminent there too...

OMG, I had no idea you were linking to a Baby Metal video, you may have to change the title of the thread now to "Insanely Awesome **** frm the Internet"!  :D

I am a HUGE fan, there is nothing else like them out there anywhere. Just a crazy mash-up of everything I love - brutal guitar-shredding metal, cosplay, etc. I've always been super into Jap rock like Melt Banana and Super Junky Munky and this bunch just takes it to the next level.

Cannot wait for the triumphant US tour!

Saw this wave for the first time. Of course no Stormtrooper but I picked up Luke. I feel that he is a short on the accessories compared to wave 1.

Yeah, I have to agree...and Obi-Wan is even weaker, just the lightsaber. Definitely feels like skimping compared to Han, Sandy, etc.

Got my order from HTS today and the paint apps were a marked improvement over the ones I saw at Target. Still can't seem to get Obi-Wan's eyebrows right for some reason though.

Saw another full case of this wave at Target today, including my first ever sighting of Plagueis on the pegs. Better late than never!

I agreed with the peeps on TD who postulated that the source of the fire was the moonshine cabin Daryl and Beth set ablaze. Also raises the interesting question of timelines. I suspect they may suprise us by the end of the season when they start to reintegrate the groups, as far as how long some of them have been out there. This makes sense also because otherwise it seems like they would eventually be running into each other walking the same set of tracks.

Ugh... brutal, brutal episode. So well done though, great acting by Melissa McBride. The kids on this show do such a great job too.

Pretty much knew it had to end that way with Lizzie, though I did not see that bit coming with Mika, super sad. Very Old Yeller at the end there, good for Carol taking care of the dirty work. Loved how they handled the confession scene with Tyreese, she just seemed totally spent and ready to die. They actually had me wondering at the end there too. Good way to wrap that up.

Next week looks awesome...
