The only other thing I can think of is how Brian's Toys seems to end up with some pretty nice schwag all the time.  I seem to recall them having pretty good quantities at times of Sacul, TF Vader.  Early on having good quantities of the other Silver figures, almost before they were available to the public.

Perhaps they have a legitimate connection to the manufacturer and are able to order solid cases, guaranteed by the manufacturer.  If so, good for them, but I see no point in owning a sealed up Indy in a Han box (Dale's comments above notwithstanding regarding the wording).  Maybe some do ???

Geez, leaving poor Indy in the plastic seems plain cruel :-*

He's choking!

I read over at the Simpsons board the following:

Quote
If you run across them in a hobby shop here's a clue to find Indy. They are packed three wide and four deep. In a non chase case all three Hans are in the center, second through fourth row. Chase Han (Indy) is in the left front corner.

So there you go Simon :-*

Thats an interesting theory Scott & it may hold. I have my figure boxes in the cases they came in the same way I took them out.  All the Hans I have came in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th row center so that chase thing throws it off. I got Indy in the 3rd box so that would make him 2nd row middle from the way I removed them!

This is the way all 4 cases were packed:

Cantina     Han           Sandtrooper
Cantina     Han           Sandtrooper
Ben          Han/Indy   Sandtrooper
Greedo     Tusken      Sandtrooper

No Indy chase in the corner unless mine was a fluke!

Now the part Matt mentioned about Japan & Hong Kong looks like it the way the first series happend with the Boba chase.

Cantina Member A (Japan assortment exclusive)
Cantina Member B (Hong Kong assortment exclusive)

This according to XL-Shop Dotcom.

Medicom Toy - Star Wars Kubrick #2 set of 8

Mine came from Japan so that part explains the Cantina with the intrument on stand.

Ah... the old "re-sealed box" trick, eh?  Yeah, I suppose that's certainly a possible way to detect the Indys, though still an unethical one.

Dale, you could probably still toss Indy and his accessories on a sensitive scale, and do the same with Han and his gun, and see if there's much of a difference.  I don't really see the need to weigh the Han boxes before they're opened, since the weight difference would be in the figure and accessories - assuming the same box, foil wrap, and clear plastic bag comes with both (except the sporadic quantity of glue possibly).

I'm not sure if our mail scale here in the office is sensitive enough (doubtful), but I'll give them both a weigh next week when Indy arrives.  Scott/Mr. Engineer - do you have any ultra sensitive scales around your work?

Interesting tip there Scott...  Give it a shot Simon!  Let us know if that's the legitimate method of Indy discovery.  Good luck to ya'...   8)  EDIT:  Didn't catch Dale's reply.  Maybe not then...

If weighing with the figure in the foil/clear bag, just remember one thing, air has weight! Is the air the same in all the bags? It would be a very small amount.  :-\

air weight would be neglible

PV=nRT

P= 14.7 psia
V= 1in^3 = 0.00057 ft^3
R= 10.73 ft^3 psia/lbmol R
T= 70 F = 21.1 C = 529.7 R

n = 1.5 x 10^-6 lbmol
m = n x MW
m = 4.3 x 10^-5 lb = 0.02 g

I would guess the idol, hat and whip weigh more than Han's gun, the air difference would be neglible

The glue thing is a more of a concern :-*

Right on Scott!
Which Cantina member did you get? The BBTS site shows him with the round instrument. How do you like Indy?  :-*

Custom Han in Stormtrooper Outfit

Is anyone willing to rip there Luke out of the packet to make a Stormtrooper Luke?

Great idea!

Though I would suggest that maybe waiting for a new Luke would be more logical.  There's bound to be another Luke figure, my guess would be the next line in fact, probably ROTJ based.

Luke Jedi
Vader
Emperor
Royal Guard
Chewbacca or slave Leia
Ewok (shudder)
