Other Toy Lines / Re: 2014: What Are You Collecting?
« on: January 16, 2015, 02:38 PM »

Star Wars- Everything from the 6" line, guestimating 12-15 figures for 2014, maybe an exclusive or two. Anything from the Clone Wars series they happen to make in either 4" line. Definitely ALL the Rebels stuff, psyched for that...

Walking Dead- Everything as far as the comic and TV waves, any 10" figures they bring out after Daryll, love this line...

Pacific Rim- Any and all, Wave 3 for the 7" and both 18" figures, maybe even the Sideshow GD. Love this line SO much!

Hobbit- Still need 4" Azog, but after that I guess I'm done until they see fit to release those other $%^&  dwarves...

Prometheus- Wishful thinking, but somehow get us Fifield and Holloway already...

My list surprisingly hasn't changed too much this year:

STAR WARS: All Black Series 6"
                              All Rebels 3&3/4" stuff
Random Clone Wars offerings in the Saga Legends line...

WALKING DEAD: Anything from the TV Series line
                                    Anything from the 10" line
Anything from the Lego-esque building line

PACIFIC RIM:  Anything from the 18" line
                                 Anything from the 7" line

FUNKO REACTION: Select properties only, Aliens, T2, etc

 :)

They never do a good job on the humans, so let's stick with the weird aliens.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series Deluxe Line

Luke and Wampa, as originally announced, would have worked better in this wave, IMO. Now they're pushed out into limbo?

I see tons of Biker Scout sets everywhere I go...it's great but geez, the demand has been met by now. Not a lot of people are going to be buying multiples of these at $35 a pop. (Ok, I admit I have 5 but I'm nuts)

Yes, very disappointing and unnecessary IMO. How are they not able to cost these things out prior to showing them off at SDCC? It should not be hard to verify which features will be included ahead of time. Cutting corners like this is really the biggest turn off with this line.

And that Han helmet looks terrible, way too squished and the lenses are all messed up.

I guess we should be happy they're not jacking the price up to $25... ::)

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars: Rebels - Class II Vehicles
« on: January 15, 2015, 08:41 AM »
Yeah, at least they doubled up on the Troop Transports and not the thing that has already been out for months now. I guess I better go ahead and grab another Phantom while they're still out there.

They may have bypassed the AT-DP since that Target exclusive version with the Driver is coming out soon...

If you have a Rose's (discount chain) near you they have the TRU exclusive Pod Racer pack for $5. I bought one just for the hell of it.

Our local Walgreens finally started getting in the new wave of 6" figures. I picked up a couple of extra TIE PIlots to quell my army building urges. I think I'm good now.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 'The Hobbit' movie
« on: January 5, 2015, 10:31 AM »
Finally saw it this past weekend and loved it. The pacing was great...did not feel like a 2.5 hour movie at all. I think it helped a lot being able to jump right into the action without a long build-up.

Agree with all the comments about the 3D HFR, I always see that version first but the rapid "closed-circuit TV-esque" movement is very distracting, much moreso than the first installment. I look forward to watching this at home on Blu-Ray.

Sad that this is the end of that world...Jackson did an amazing job breathing life into this universe over 6 films.

Sylvester Stallone announces 'Rambo 5' title

If it's anything like #4, I'm in. That was some epic graphic violence.

Hmmm....6" scaled Starfighter coming for Ep 7? (RS leaked list)

That thing is gonna be massive. I figured we would get a Dewback or Landspeeder before any of the bigger ships.

Edward Hermann

Gilmore Girls my arse! He'll always be best remembered as the creepy father-figure from Lost Boys!

Was getting worried I had missed out on clearanced Shadow Squadron sets @ Target but I was able to find 2 at the 2 farthest Targets on my search vector today. ($35 each - nice)

Once they took that thing off the website I figured it would become scarce quickly.
