Strange, it works when I click on it:

Wasn't he also called Commander Thire for a while?

Yes, for a while that is who people thought he was, right up until the Official Site said that Commander Thire is one of the Shocktroopers...

Commander Thire

"A red-emblazoned shock trooper, Commander Thire was tasked by Emperor Palpatine to scour the lower levels of the Galactic Senate to find any traces of Jedi Master Yoda."

I removed this from the other thread since it didn't belong.

That guy is, according to the latest issue of the SW Insider, Commander Deviss.

The only thing I know for sure is there is definitely new packaging and possibly a new base, but that bit has not been confirmed (and the picture is way to small to tell).

I don't think there is anything different about the actual figure, but again, I'm not quite sure yet...

Anyone heard anything more about a possible Vader Unleashed variant at Best Buy?

Looks like the Spudtrooper is now IN-STOCK at Amazon.com.

Looks like a similar price to DarthTater - $8.99 plus tax/shipping.

Good luck to anyone trying to nab a Spud!

Where did you guys see those grainy pics?

 ;D

Picked one of these up over lunch at the local Target (using the DPCI trick of course).

The Gray Clones are definitely the Jetpack Clone, like the guy from Scum said, they still have the hole in the back and a total lack of good articulation in the arms.   ::)

Also, from what I can tell without totally destroying the packaging, there is at least one extra gun (small blaster) included in the plastic tray - in order to get it out though, you have to remove the "Gunship" cardboard from the plastic bubble (the "gunship" is glued/taped to the bubble).

You will see what I mean when you open it, but suffice it to say that it is going to be hard for anyone who wants to keep the packaging nice after they open it - you pretty much have to partially destroy the great presentation to get these guys out of the package.  Be forwarned, if you want to take them out then put them back in the box for display, be VERY careful when removing them from the bubble...

I'm at work now, so no pictures, but I'll try to take some good shots tonight when I get home...

I'm supprised no new images have surfaced yet, we will probably see these by December, I remember people were finding the '04 SAGA in December of '03, it is already October, I'd think we'd have at least seen those same loose shots in better quality appear somewhere.

Yeah, it is a bit surprising that those shots haven't popped up again in a nagazine or anything.   :-\

Like you guys, I'd like a better look at that Boushh and Han to see what the articulation is like.  I'd also like to see how "different" Barada and Chewie will be since it sounds like the Fett in this wave is just a re-pack with nothing new...

One costs$19.99 and it's a blue Bacarra with 4 grey painted clonetoopers.  The 4 are from the Deluxe Clonetrooper with Jetpack.  Obviously without the Jetpacks.

 ???

I thought that the 4 Gray Clones were #6s (with Quick Draw Action).

Where did you hear they were Deluxe Clones?

edit - nm.  I see the guy at scum also posted in the forums over there...

"So I just openned them up and to let everyone know the grey troopers are repaints of the Jet Pack trooper right down to the mounting hole in the back and lack of peg holes in the feet."

Very interesting....

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What do you buy at the Movie Snack Counter?
« on: October 3, 2005, 05:17 PM »
It's weird -

During the summer, for those big blockbuster type movies - Revenge of the Sith, Batman Begins, etc - the Mrs. and I almost always get a medium tub of popcorn (no fake buttery topping) and a medium drink (pink lemonade) to share.  The exceptions being if we have just had dinner before the show.

Yet, when we go to movies in the winter - Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc - we usually just skip the snacks all together.

Maybe there is something about the summertime that makes us crave the popcorn while the wintry days of Minnesota cause us to forego the movie treats?   :-\

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS variation/error thread
« on: October 3, 2005, 04:21 PM »
Sounds like a treasure trove of variants have been found with Bly so far...

I've seen reports of Bly with:
- Yellow Shoulder Rings and Yellow Ankle Rings
- Yellow Shoulder Rings and White Ankle Rings
- White Shoulder Rings and White Ankle Rings

Sounds like it might even be possible to see them with mixed yellow/white shoulder parts due to the way that the change was implemented...  :-\

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: 41st Elite (Legion or Corps?)
« on: October 3, 2005, 03:33 PM »
Well, I'd guess that Commander Gree is the leader of the 41st Elite, which is part of the 9th Assault Corps.

At the time of the Battle of Kashyyyk, the 9th Assault Corps was under the Command of General Luminara Unduli, but then maybe Luminara assigned Gree and his 41st Elite to protect Yoda during the battle of Kashyyyk or something.

Wasn't Luminara there on Kashyyk with Yoda?  They are both Jedi, so they both probably got to boss around Gree.

I see that one of the local MN scalpers has this set on eBay...  >:(

Guess it's time to start pestering the nice ladies at the Target Service Desk to see if I can nab one to bolster the Clone Army.   ;)
