Hmmm.

Looks pretty weak if it's for real.  It'll suck if it's just repacked figures packed with the same "baby figure" - blue blankie for Luke, pink for Leia.   :-\

ps.
For house-keeping purposes, I merged all of our "Baby Luke/Leia" figure threads together...

Hmmm.

I guess we'll see GI Jedi and My Little Taun-Taun before too long...  :P

I'm sure there will be TF collectors who are also SW Collectors who will grab these, but I will pass and use my $$$ for other stuff.

Do you have it set up yet? Since Dressel deleted the other, I guess I need to defend my title here.

Yep, it is all set up and the info has been sent to you.

The info is being kept private so that we can control who enters our league.

As I said earlier, my wife is a HUGE fan and is anxiously awaiting the movie.  We've watched the whole thing on DVD (first time through for me) and are all set.

When the topic of going to the movie on Friday came up, she said to me, "This is what it must have been like for you and Star Wars".   ;)

Don't forget, he's also the reason the Polar BEar kept showing up.

Yeah, the polar bear which also happened to be critter featured in the issue of "The Flash" that he was reading.

I definately think Walt is a HUGE part of what the heck is going on, waiting to get more out of him especially after the backwards talking vison thing between him and shannon last week.

Well, since it appears I have time to play this year and the "other" league is full, I thought I'd start a second league.   :)

The league will be scored with a rotisserie scoring system for ten categories:

Field Goals Made
Free Throws Made
3-PT Shots Made
Total Points
Offensive Rebounds
Defensive Rebounds
Assists
Steals
Blocked Shots
Turnovers

The rosters have 12 active players as follows:
PG
SG
PF
SF
C
Utility
Utility
five Bench Positions

In addition, there will be one injure reserve spot to accomodate injured super-stars.

Invitations are open to ALL JediDefender Members except for those I choose to disallow for obvious reasons.   :-X  To join, post here and I'll send you a PM with all the details on how you can join...

Jeff

ps.
The draft order will be determined by one of two methods, according to the results of a league vote:

1 - If Yahoo Live Draft is chosen, we will use a random order determined by Yahoo.

2 - If a JD Forum based draft is chosen, the draft order will be chosen by a neutral third-party staff member of JediDefender.

;)

Has anyone seen this around yet?
And at what price?
Few have popped up on evilbay already.

Hi Hemish, a few have been spotted, check out this thread over in the "Other Collectibles" section...

Are we supposed to be able to see our teams yet? I can't see mine but the last few posts make it sound like some people have been making roster moves.

(Sorry if this was already answered, I haven't read everything)

According to Brent...

You need to go to tomorrow to see your players, they don't show up for today's date.  Damn near crapped my drawers ::)

Forgive my ignorance, but to add my final bench player, do I just click "Add" next to the player's name?

Yes.

OK, time for everyone to submit their picks on who will make the playoffs.  Here are mine:

Man... kinda hard to pick when anything could happen with the new rules and what-not.   :-\

Here are my best guesses:

Western Conference
1. Detroit Red Wings (Central Division champs)
2. San Jose Sharks (Pacific Division champs)
3. Calgary Flames (Northwest Division champs)
4. Dallas Stars
5. Colorado Avalanche
6. Vancouver Canucks
7. Nashville Predators
8. Minnesota Wild

Eastern Conference
1. Boston Bruins (Northeast Division champs)
2. Tampa Bay Lightning (Southeast Division champs)
3. Philadelphia Flyers (Atlantic Division champs)
4. Ottawa Senators
5. New Jersey Devils
6. Montreal Canadiens
7. Pittsburgh Penguins
8. Atlanta Thrashers

It now appears that Palmiero will say anything to try to keep his HoF hopes alive...

"It was Tejada who gave me the steroids!"   ::)

Source: Palmeiro named Tejada before panel

In other news, the Twins pitching staff is a mess - Mays is hurt (again), Silva just had surgery, and Lohse is hated by everyone at the clubhouse and probably headed out the door after the end of the season...  :(

In the previous 3 leagues, we did it fhe first way you showed there, not the second.  That's a fact.

It's a fact, but it's a fact that is wrong...

It doesn't look like last year's basketball draft was done that way.

Well I have the honor again to pick list of the draft order. All names were on paper & drawn. So here we go:

1:   The jaws.
2:   Mos Eisley Mynocks.
3:   Canuckleheads.
4:   Not a Contender.
5:   Thug Squad Ballers.
6:   Dressel's Rebels.
7:   Minnesota Muskies.
8:   The Famine.
9:   The Zods.
10: Dunkin' Wookiees.

There you have it, have fun!  :)

"Let's get ready to rummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmble!"

Nor does it look like this year's Hockey Draft was done that way...

Here ya go:

1:   Mikey.
2:   Brent.
3:   Kevin.
4:   Jesse J.
5:   Rob.
6:   Scott.
7:   Jesse V.   :P
8:   Jeff.
9:   Jason.
10: Jamie.

Have fun.  :)

Again, I'm not accusing you, just pointing out some errors in your "facts".

Jeff

Tell you what, maybe I'll post a link to one auction, that way you could view the other auctions if you choose.  I probably won't posting a plethora of customs though, just a few to help me get by with these added expenses.

Just a friendly reminder that we don't usually allow linking to your own eBay auctions (regardless of the circumstances), but you can post your eBay ID though and if people want to check it out on their own, they are more than welcome to do it...

Sorry to be the bad guy, but rules are rules.  :-\

OK, see here is the problem...

Yes, there are two "time-stamped" PMs in your box.  I got that part.  But, you seem to think there is NO way anyone can "control" the draft via this method, but you are WRONG.  You do still have some influence over the interpretation of the draft order.

There are at least two distinct ways of "matching up" those lists.  The first way to do it is the way that you chose - assigning the numbers in Kev's list with the teams in Brent's list:

12 Canuckleheads
  9 EZ
  7 Minnesota Muskies
10 Dunking Wookies
11 THE PULPHORNS
  1 Dressel's Rebels
  3 Dooku's Dunkers
  2 The Famine
  5 Snagglicious
  6 vacant1s
  4 S words
  8 The Zods

Obviously, this method favors you and Kev, which is why there is some suspicion, especially when you see the second way to do it...

The second way to interpret the two "time-stamped" PMs is as follows.  You assign numbers to Morgbug's team list, and then match those numbers to the list Kev gave you.  It comes out with a WHOLE different draft order.

Brent's list =

  1 Canuckleheads
  2 EZ
  3 Minnesota Muskies
  4 Dunking Wookies
  5 THE PULPHORNS
  6 Dressel's Rebels
  7 Dooku's Dunkers
  8 The Famine
  9 Snagglicious
10 vacant1s
11 S words
12 The Zods

Then, matching to Kev's list your draft order would be:

12 The Zods
  9 Snagglicious
  7 Dooku's Dunkers
10 vacant1s
11 S words
  1 Canuckleheads
  3 Minnesota Muskies
  2 EZ
  5 THE PULPHORNS
  6 Dressel's Rebels
  4 Dunking Wookies
  8 The Famine

See, using THIS numbering schema, the draft order then becomes much different.  Instead of you and Kevin being #1-2, you are now #10 and #12

Can you see now why even though Kevin and Brent sent two "time-stamped" PMs, there is still room for some people to doubt you?

Just trying to help you understand that your "fool proof" draft order isn't as lock solid as you'd like to think and that despite the fact that you have two "time-stamped" PMs, there is still room for suspicion (regardless of whether it is warrented or not).
