I got one of these this morning before work by using the DPCI #.

Very nice ship, I love the colors and the re-tooling. Didn't have much time to digest it yet (since I had to go to work

), but maybe I can click some loose pictures tonight.

First impression of it though was very positive - Zev looks pretty good for a pack-in figure (light-years ahead of that Red Leader figure that came with that TRU X-Wing). Can't wait to get home and crack it open tonight!

Well, I guess Target agrees with you... To help clear out the aisle, the Greatest Hits assortments will be on sale next week for $6 (includes both the Heroes & Villains and Greatest Battles figures).

That should help to clear out the aisle a little bit I would think...

As it stands now, I'd really like to see the Twins manage to win the Central so we can play Oakland instead of NY in the first round. That way, Mauer/Morneau and the rest of the guys who haven't been to the playoffs would get thier playoff jitters out of the way in Oakland before having to roll into Yankee stadium and face that kind of atmosphere.

Santana/Silva/Garza/Bonser can beat Oakland in a 5 games series, but going against the Yankees with our current pitching mess would be... well, worrysome. $:-\$

Wild 3, Detroit 2

OK, it was pretty ugly because I didn't see anyone of note on the Detroit side - no Chelios, no Lang, no Lidstrom, no Zetter, no Datsyuk, no Matthieu, No Hasek, etc.

On the Wild side though, WOOT!

Gaborik put one in the net just 32 seconds into the game, with Demitra dumping in a PP goal just a minute after that. Nothing like a 2-0 lead in the first 90 seconds of the game.

Gabby's second goal was sweet as well. I'm really looking forward to watching this team play this year (and not just because Gabby and Demitra are on my fantasy team

).

Well, it's time!

I'm heading out tonight to see the beloved Minnesota Wild in some pre-season action against the Detroit Red Wings.

I've also got tickets set now to the following regular season games via the season tickets I split with a group of guys from work.

October 10th - Wild vs. Vancouver = on National TV in Canada (TSN)
December 5th - Wild vs. Chicago = on TV in USA (Versus)
January 2nd - Wild vs. Atlanta = on Local TV
March 6th - Wild vs. San Jose = on Local TV

Naslund, Havlat, Kovalchuk, Hossa, Thornton - not a bad mix!

Only one "O Canada" game so far, but I'm hoping to sneak in a Calgary and/or Edmontom game this year at some point as well.

I may not be a "buy two of everything" kind of guy anymore, but I will continue to buy Hasbro stuff until the day it ends.

Whether they are new or repacks or repaints or re-hashes or kit-bashes or whatever, I'll still get in line to buy one carded for my carded figure collection. I've come this far, why not stick it out to the end?
