Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The Packaging Issue...
« on: August 13, 2003, 09:51 PM »
I used to keep all that stuff,  especially the cardbacks.  It just got to bothersome and it took alot of space to store that stuff.  Being a loose collector,  if I really like the packaging on a certain figure,  I'll just buy a duplicate to keep carded.

roguestormtrooper is...

name:          Chris Claverie
location:       New Orleans,  Louisiana
age:             34
status:         single
children:       none yet...
pets:            cats (5)
music:          all types...  r&b,  rap,  rock etc...
job:              work in Private Security...  presently seeking new employment
toylines:       Star Wars (mainly),  Modern G.I. Joe and MOTU...

I remember way back in 1977 seeing ANH and becoming instantly hooked.  I had some of the vintage line of figures,  I wish I woulda kept them...  I got back into collecting hardcore back in 1995 when POTFII debuted and have been collecting ever since.  Even though it can be a little expensive sometimes,  it is a hobby that I thoroughly enjoy and brings alot of joy to my life...

I'll stop boring you guys now... ::)

Since I lost a majority of my CD collection a couple of years ago,  I download mp3's to replace those lost CD's.  Most of the stuff is from years ago and is really hard to find at retail these days.  I don't find anything wrong with it,  because I don't do it to sell the music.  I really believe they will never stop piracy until they close down kaaza and related sites permanently.  Personally,  I think this entire matter is going to end up in the Supreme Court one day...

I would hate to see the line ever come to an end,  now for a reality check...  I think the line will remain as long as it is profitable for Hasbro and Lucas.  As far as how long that will be,  I don't know.  I feel that it's going to count on collectors,  such as us,  who will continue to buy what Hasbro has to offer in the future past EPIII and beyond.  Who knows,  G.I. Joe has been around since the 60's  (correct me if I'm wrong)  and is still profitable for Hasbro.    Star Wars has been  part of my life since I was very young and looking at all of the younger collectors these days,   it seems as if it is as popular today as in 1977 when I first  saw ANH.   I'm one who hopes it will continue...  as long as possible...  :)

Hmmm...  Considering I probably have borderline OCD, I have a lot of obsessive issues/habits when it comes to cleaning, organizing, having "complete" sets/collections of everything, nitpicking, etc., etc...

I'm kinda like that too...  Drives me crazy sometimes,  cause I can be a messy person.  Weird,  huh? ::)

Yeah,  it looks like Booker is going to be out a liitle while...  It must be serious for him to drop the belt at a house show.

I am sooooooooooooooo glad that J.R. is back! :o  I couldn't take another week of Coach commentating...

Also,  I read that HHH is going to retain the belt at SummerSlam and there's supposed to be a rematch at the following Raw PPV between him and Goldberg.
Anyone else have any news or thoughts?

I couldn't agree more,  Steiner/Test and Dudleys/LaResistance is getting very very old.  Just bring on SS and let's get it over with.   I can't wait to see what they do with Golddust and Lance Storm...  It was very funny tonight...  "Congratulations on your big a-a-a-a-a**" ;D
