SW.com Announces Trailer (http://www.starwars.com/episode-iii/release/theater/news20050228.html)
March 10th at 9pm on FOX during an episode of "The O.C."
Then on Hyperspace after the show it will be shown to members of the Fan Club.
And finally in the theatres on March 11th before Robots.
I think I'm going to try and avoid watching this, although it won't be easy because my curiosity will be killing me. However, I'm trying to stay relatively spoiler free, and the teaser trailer was about as much as I can handle!

Oh screw that. I'm not sitting through an episode of the OC just to see Star Wars. My love doesn't stretch that far. I'll just download it.

Jebus...first they make me sit through TRL on MTV to see the teaser trailer, now I get to sit through OMG TEEN ANGST and Mischa Barton's sickly looking ass to see the full trailer. ::)
Who exactly are they trying to appeal to here? Something tells me that the crowd who sticks by the talentless hack fraud Ashley Simpson isn't exactly the SW type of folk. Not to generalize or anything, but I don't see the mall crowd saying "OMG, HAYDENZ SOOOOO HAWT WHEN HE'S EVIL LOL."

I will sit through the O.C. to tape it. Then rerun my tape a few hundred times. I never have much luck with the online trailers until about a week later to view it.

Well, my wife actually likes to watch "The O.C." so hopefully she'll watch for me and let me know when the commercials are coming on so I can just watch those to try to catch it...

I'm kind of disappointed that the original rumor of Hyperspace members getting the trailer next Tuesday turned out to be untrue, but its only a couple more days. Really looking forward to seeing some new scenes, and a much longer trailer. My wife also watches the OC, and we always watch TV together, so I've been watching it a fair amount as well, so it works out fine for me that it premieres then I guess. No worse than TRL :). Glad that Hyperspace will get it shortly after...this movie really isn't too far off now :). Let the Hype begin!

For the most part, I think the trailers have always been shown towards the end of the show. Watch accordingly.
I don't watch the OC, so I'll just wait until it's online.

Yeah, sad isn't it? Its strange having this "tune in next week to see a commercial" commercial running last night. Of course, I have no problem watching it to get a "preview", so I can't complain too much :P.

Yeah, I saw the commercial for the commercial last night. I forced myself to watch some of that awful show, and now, I'm kinda angry. The O.C. is not a family oriented show and some of the subject matter isn't for kids. Kids who will most definitely be watching for the trailer next Thursday!

Like, yeah I'm watching the OC right now cuz this chick is making me, but at least I get to see Episode III on May 19th. Look at that trailer.

I guess that's true, but I also think showing the trailer with a TV-14 show is further proof that Episode III will be PG-13.

The trailer has shown up online. The quality sucks but it gives you a little taste. Note that most sites are having it shutdown within minutes so you will need to do some searching. Start at millennium falcon.com The trailer has leaked overseas.

I saw it earlier today, yeah the quality sure does suck, like watching a worn out beta tape flick. Looks like it was done with a camera phone. I'll keep the download till the better version comes out.

Finally downloaded that thing. Pretty terrible, but from what I can make outfrom it, good things are around the corner. Certainly comes off as dark and tragic.
I'm hoping that the trailer will be run in hi-def with the HD broadcast of OC. I'm setting my DVHS deck to record the bitstream with high hopes.

All I can say is WOW!
This movie is going to make the entire PT worth it!
I love the part when Palpatine said "Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?" and then out came the lightsaber! That part of the movie is going to ROCK!
I can't wait to get the QT version so I can go over it frame-by-frame...
May 19th can't come fast enough!

Oh my sweet Lord that was fantastic!!! Love the shots of Anakin hooded and leading the clones into the Jedi Temple. Of course Palpatine looks like he is going to steal this show. Loved this trailer. It's going to be a loooooong wait until midnight on May 19th. Good thing we have the Clone Wars cartoon, the toys on 4/2, and the general hype to keep us entertained unitl then.

Wich link did you use? Is your media player set to turn every file to a windows file? If so change the default, and watch it in quicktime. If not, I cant help you.

I'm not gonna lose control and over-hype myself, but...
Holy **** comes to mind quickly.
It's a fantastic trailer... Palp's line to his visitors will forever become iconic with SW fans I believe. He's really only going to ever "shine" in this film, and that almost is a shame but probably will do well for the flick.
I bet my buddy's going nuts if he missed this right now. :)
Finally, having Hypersnatch pays off... at least for a little bit of fun.

I also want to see how the Jedis react when the troopers turn on them.
Can't wait for the movie but I also can't wait for the Clone Wars cartoon to start up again.

I'm sad to see Aayla go....IF anyone has read the Republic Comics, you know I'm not talking about her looks.
She's a golden character....No other female Jedi has gotten so much exposure, I'd have to guess.
I wish they wouldn't kill her off, not here...not now. It's so sad.

This is a lot of fun.
I was at a job fair all night tonight, so I missed the trailer on the tube, and forgot to set the VCR.
Now I'm stuck at home on the crappy laptop, and even though I have Hyperspace, I can't get that damned Quicktime program to download (worst program in the history of the world - ALWAYS problems with it!). All the mpg's are already toast, of course, so I'm completely ass-out on this thing.
This sucks. Everyone's having fun but me! >:(

Damn, I got goose bumps watching it.
Palpy is bad ass. Him vs. Yoda is going to be a great duel, starting in the office and moving throughout the senate hall. Probably not going to rival Anakin vs. Obi Wan, but should be entertaining, none the less.
The decimation of the Jedi is something I can't wait to see. The look on Ki Adi Mundi's face when he turned to look at his clonetroopers ready to waste his ass was priceless.
And Anakin leading the troops into the Jedi Temple - going to be a great scene.
Need to watch it again a few more times to take it all in.

I watched it last night, taped it, rewound it, watched it again...rinse, repeat. Unbelievable. I'll basically echo what everyone else has said here, it just looks amazing from this trailer. Lots of action, a dark tone, Palpatine, Yoda, Clones, Vader, Wookiees...oh my. I really hope that it holds up as many of us are thinking, and ranks high in the overall Saga and redeems the PT somewhat in the eyes of people who disliked it so much. To me, this looks like it could be one of the best. I really like Palpatine's line, and the shot of Anakin leading the clones is too cool. I can't wait for May 19, going to spend a lot of money at the theatres this summer I'm thinking. Just....great.

Watching it a few more times today, things that look cool....
- Yoda vs. Sidious in the Senate Chamber, could be quite cool
- the Kashyyyk battle, the Juggernaut looks nice, really hope Hasbro decides to make one
- the "force push" standoff that looks to be taking place between Obi and Anakin
- all those lightsaber battles are going to be awesome, and the duel looks like it could be amazing

Let me go out on a limb and say that, due to it's dark nature, not unlike The Empire Strikes Back, this film will easily become the best modern Star Wars film. TPM and AOTC won't even come close. I also truly, yet begrudgingly, believe that this film WILL replace "Empire" as best Star Wars film ever. And that, says a lot!
It will be fantastic to finally see Obi-Wan kick the ever-loving-hell out of that whiny punk Anakin!!! Unfortunately it will be extremely traumatic to see all of the Jedi betrayed and mass-murdered like that. Here's hoping that the killing of the padawans and younglings is done 99.9% off-screen as that would be best implied.

I was going frame by frame through parts of the trailer this morning, and at about the 1:18 mark or so, when Obi is surrounded by Grievous, his bodyguards, and all sorts of droids, it really looks like Grievous is ginormous. Maybe I'm not looking correctly, but the figure facing him that I think to be Grievous looks considerably taller than his bodyguards (of which there looks to be 4 of). Anyways, just an observation, maybe I'm seeing things wrong though. Hopefully one of the versions Hasbro releases will be in scale with the film version if that is the case. Thanks for the link Dale.

Well, I finally got the trailer downloaded off of StarWars.com. Only problem is, for the life of me, I can't get any audio. Damn.
Visually, it indeed does look absolutely breathtaking, and gives me a ton of hope for this movie. So we'll see if that holds true once I see it in the theaters.
In the meantime, anyone know where I can find a transcript for the trailer, with the dialogue in it? I'd like to at least read what I can't hear... :-\

At 1:26 there's a shot of Obi fighting Grievous next to a ship (Grievous'?). He looks considerably taller than Obi Wan.

I caught a tear falling from my cheek the first time I saw Palpy going after Mace and his buddies. Hope I'm not to geeky to admit that, but it's sad to see the fall of the Jedi and it was so exciting to see how powerful the dark side can really be considering if he wipes all four of those Jedi out in that single scene. I've been mostly spoiler free thus far so this was a real treat for me.

I love the way Kit jumps back in the clip... sort of an "oh ****!" reaction.
I went and saw Hostage this afternoon, and ducked into the 4:30 showing of Robots to catch the trailer. The theater was packed, nearly full, with little under-10 kids. They talked and yammered all through the Herbie and Fever Pitch, and then looked to do the same with ROTS -- but once it got past the opening dialog, all of a sudden everything went quiet. The trailer got thier attention. That's a good sign.
Oh, and don't rush out to see Robots if you're just wanting to see the trailer. It's the cropped 1:78:1 version that ran during the OC, not the wider 2:35:1 one that it should be, and as shown on Hyperspace and AOL. Still cool to see it on film though in a theater. :)

My father-in-law and mother-in-law took my niece and nephew ages 2.5 and 4 respectively to Robots this weekend. I asked them if they saw the Star Wars preview. They said "Yes, and they were scared throughout the whole preview." Said they had keep telling them "It will be over with soon. I will be over with soon. It will be over with soon."
LOL! Poor kids. They are young though. Probably to young to see Robots let alone ROTS.

I got back from the lil lady's this evening after we took a tear to see Robots... Part of me had the intent of seeing the Trailer only, and the movie was just secondary... The movie was better than I thought (Funny SW line in it too), but the kicker was the trailer of course.
Seeing it on that screen rocked... She even commented to me that it looked like a good movie. This coming from a woman who doesn't look at SW fondly.
The space battles look like if they were in IMAX format they'd make you sick... which of course now i hope it reaches the IMAX format somehow. :)
