So jjks stumbled upon the new VOTC 12" figures tonight at K-Mart ($30 each), finding a case of 3 Fetts and 3 Lukes, but unfortunately no Stormtroopers. Looks like Luke's wearing lipstick, and Boba's still got that lame BLUE jumpsuit (which was supposedly being changed to the correct grey). Anyway, here's the pic Jamie sent along.

Better get those huntin' shoes on 12" collectors. Finally something new out there!

Whoa, at $30. a pop, these are going to be close to $45. Canadian.

Early and late releases? Maybe Hasbro caught the error after enough complaints arose, but they still had a large number produced of the blue suit? Just like the POK Saga FEtt? Oh-oh.

And, of course, MY kmart still has jack-****. I ordered a case from EE anyways but I am way too impatient to wait (besides I need three of each this time).
Now, to start pestering the family connections and see what can be done. :)
PS: I can't read the UPC number off of the slip, can you post it Jaime??
(They really hate me when I bring in UPC numbers ;) ).

The packaging style of days gone by intermixed with the new dolls is disheartening… I mean, if you’re going in, you better go full throttle- go old skool or don’t go at all.

I heard a news that only blue suit in US at this moment :( And only grey/light green suit found in Asia like Taiwan & Hong Kong :P
There are 2 different assortments:
3x Luke
3x Boba Fett (blue suit)
2x Luke
2x Boba Fett (grey/light green suit)
2x Stormtrooper

Joints at the knee look a little weird, almost like the plastic is really, really soft and deforms. Otherwise it looks ok. I think I'll be passing on this fellow. Great box, but all my 12" stuff is and shall remain loose.

Hasbro really can do excellent work when they want to. I find it hard to believe these VOTC 12"ers come from the same company that crapped out the 12" AOTC Padme and Zam Wesell.

I've been bidding on them, just not going overboard so I know I won't win one but 12" dolls are the bane of my collection. I like them more than my props. I'm not sure if the order I have with EE will get me the ugly blue or the new grey so I am stuck with ebay at the moment. It's funny though, as no one REALLY knows if there was a production change that makes one more rare than the others (at least I didn't catch that newsflash at Hasbro.com :P ).
But, if anyone DOES come across an ugly blue one and would like to clear their store shelf, feel free to pm me :).

Finally saw the Luke and Fett today at retail (Target). I actually think the packaging looks pretty cool on these. But for anyone who's opened them, what all is stuck in the left hand side of the package? The figure's just over on the right side, and only takes up half the space. Is there anything else of interest in there, or just a bunch of wasted space on the left side?
BTW, the Fett I saw had the corrected grey jumpsuit, and Luke looks like he's wearing lipstick... ::)
I don't collect the 12" line anymore though, and especially not at $30, so I hesitantly passed on both of them.

I scored the Stormie at Target day before yesterday, which is fantastic because I was sick and tired of carrying around that extra $30 ::)

I have the grey siut Boba. My first 12" as I was never impressed enough by them but now it seems they have caught up on some accuracy. The Boba is excellent, one of my fav pieces now.

Well, just as an FYI as to what I've been finding....
originally about a month or so ago, only the Luke and BLUE jumpsuit Fett were shipping, both with AND without the silver sticker in the corner. Both Luke and Fet WITH the sticker seeming to hit in much fewer numbers.
Then a few weeks ago it appeared both the Fett AND Luke were shipping both without the stickers and this time the Fett is the GRAY version. Just last week the Stormtrooper hit and all 3 were available all without the silver sticker, Fett still in the gray suit.
Thats what I'm finding in my neck of the woods-pretty much goes along with all the reports.
