Well the new picture of the 12" Gamorrean Guard is starting to make headlines all across the SW universe.
This figure looks very sweet & looks heavy. Very nice detail from what I can see & the weapons look great too.
For more information, check out the main page.

I think I will land up getting this put on my wish list. ;)

Looks kinda of beefy, wonder where i am going to find room to display a couple of them :)
Gonna have to make a custom 12" (24") Jabba and do a 12" throne room diorama. Lando skiff is coming out and I have most of the others from that scene.

now that is a cool one !
now we only need a 12" Jabba

I can't wait for this figure to come out. I'm still debating about doing the whole pre-order thing or just buy it when it's out and about.
-
he does look way dope, so i'll be picking him up :) It would be cool if he had "slime" details around his mouth... hell, maybe he does, i didnt look that closely cause his breath smelled so bad...

I have one on order. I will be placing him with my other Jabba's Palace 12". For a Jabba I am using my Foam Replica Jabba that was issued a few years back.

most definitly!! the detail is amazing..I am just trying to figure out how I am going to get him on my wall. ;D.He looks very solid and heavy...but one of the best 12 inch to date for details....
-
he looks like he has the same size box as the Leia/han 2 pack... I don't think he will be able to go on the wall. But yeah, you can always scoot your amidalas over and put him on the table :)
-
Just saw him in my local KB toy store. He is AWSOME!!
I ususally don't like 12" figs but I'm definitely going to be picking one up. I might wait till KB drops the price like they always do but I'm going to get one.

I own exactly one 12" figure, the Han and Tauntaun. However, when I find him, this bad boy is coming home to my apartment. He will be a centerpiece in my eventual Gammorean Guard collection (which I haven't gotten around to starting yet, unless you count the POTF2 fig and the Applause figural mug. Maybe buying this will jump start that collection)

You and me both! ;)

I saw the new 12" Gamorrean Guard for the first time today at one of my local KB's. Picked up an extra for anyone who wants one (for retail of course).
One thing that I think looks pretty crappy on the four different ones that I looked at, is the area around his eyes. It's all black, and looks very much like he's got one of those mysterious little eye masks on ala the Lone Ranger or Zorro. Looks bad IMO... The rest of him looks pretty cool though! 8)

Finally!! I just checked my status at KBtoys and it's been shippesd (only four months later :P).
-
Here he is - at the palace!! (or the dining room table, as some may call it).

I have a cool story I want to share with everyone
here at Jedidefender. For the pass four weeks
I have been looking for the 12" Gammorean Guard
to pop up at my local Kay Bee here in Louisiana.
Well I called this pass week and I got the same response-we do not have it yet stan.
Well my wife went shopping today and guess
what she got me for a late fathers day gift-you
guess it the GAMMOREAN GUARD. She then
told that they called this passed week and said
it came -she told them -if I called about it to fudge
a little -and that she wanted to get it as a father day
gift- My wife has never, I repeat never-has done
anything this extreame- She suprise this Star Wars
Collector. I have to give her Thumbs up. Being
married for five years this bring a smile to my face
thanking God for my wife!!!! Thank for Listening!!!!

That's an awesome story Stan! That's a nice wife you have there.
-
Great story Stan. A very nice surprise.

If anyone in town ever gets one, I'll definitely pick it up. Where I'll put it, I have no idea....

I saw it this weekend and passed. It's a nice attempt, but the soft goods galore don't mask the fact that the hands and the paint apps suck. Those two factors make it worth about $15, not $30, IMHO.
They eyes were too big too. Enough gripin'. I was really disappointed, cuz I was wanting one so bad. Oh well. :(
-
I haven't bought one of these yet, but I really don't plan on doing so.

My big old pig arrived Thanks to Matt. I like him & I think he is cool. Now if we can only get a Rancor creature to scale for it! 8)

I just found one this weekend and nabbed it. I did debate in my mind to pay the $30 for it. In the end I had to have it. I do agree that the paint application or something is a bit different. I actually like the soft goods on this one. It looks great to me. Just minor problems that I got over very quickly.
