Well, I thought I would take one of my DS Troopers and convert him over to the vintage style console operator from ANH. I painted the tunic dark grey, drilled out the head of the POTF2 version and put a strapless helmet from the TAC version on him. A small piece of wire painted black completes the figure. I also have a comparison shot to the regular version, and note that I did the 'ol boil-and-freeze to both as well 8)

Oh wow very very nice. Great likeness to the movie character and it does really give you those vintage goose bumps. Wonderful job.

Excellent job!
But here's my incredibly lame nitpick - his eyebrows are a little too color-coordinated with his clothes. ;)
Still, this fig looks awesome.
