Meh, not as good as I'd hoped. Some of these girls really need to take a photography class. This blurry stuff does not cut it. They're absolutely real though.  :D

I am pretty sure there will be more to come though...let's hope.

I would appreciate it if someone could point out where Vos appears in EP 1. I would like to see that but prefer not to watch that movie ever again if I can help it. TIA~

Vintage Kenner / Re: Latest vintage acquisition

My Vintage AT-AT arrived yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised. The thing is in pretty great shape, complete with no discoloration and only minor sticker fatigue. The original box is somewhat dilapidated, but that was more of a bonus than anything. Haven't tried the electronics yet but look forward to testing it out tonight.

My vintage SW collection is now complete.  ;D

Although I would like to supplement it with a few more crazy variants, vinyl cape Jawa, Orange hair Luke and such. Oh, and some of the Palitoy swag. Dang, this could go on forever.

They just need to stop jamming the pegs meant for the Clone Wars and Vintage figures with all that Legends garbage. The 3 closest Walmarts around here are at least 70% Legends swag right now. One case of that junk will hang around for months...it's obscene.

And I've still literally NEVER seen anyone buy one of those figures.

I think you're being a little Chicken Little-ish when you say you know Savage and Serpias will "never" show up again at your stores.

Yeah, there is definitely a frustration factor, but honestly the TRU's around here are funny with their TCW waves. Some waves show up in plenty, others I have literally only seen once never to be restocked. I've only seen Colt twice at all the TRU's around here, for instance. I just don't feel like I can take it for granted these guys will show up again outside of this latest promotion anytime soon.

That's not to say the figures won't be available elsewhere, I'm sure they will, but that will take awhile and this TRU promotion was really the best chance to score these for the foreseeable future. The scene around here otherwise is really dead.

I did see an El-Les and Comm, Wolffe at Walmart tonight, but they did not appear to be carry forwards from any of the new waves.

Star Wars Universe / Re: Star Wars on Blu-Ray

So looks like TRU has (at least the OT Blu Trilogy) for $29.99 and Target seems to have the best enchilada price at $79.99.  I may not agree with the changes, but I still plan on picking this up just to check out all the extra features.

According to the RS Summary posted yesterday, Target is selling the enchilada for $99.99 and it's actually Walmart and Best Buy who are selling it for $79.99. I honestly am not sure what is accurate anymore. I guess I will try Wally first and then Target as my back-up. I won't ever step foot in a Best Buy again if I can help it.

My local store put out the same 4-sided display mentioned by DoctorPadawan above. I saw it on Thursday originally and found the newest wave of CW figures (updated Rex, snowtime Kit, etc) including a lone shirtless Savage but I stupidly passed on everything due to the ridiculous $9 prices. Of course when I went back yesterday for the sale they were all gone.

I hate to say it, but you are probably SOL on those new CW figures for that store at least. I spoke to a TRU manager yesterday who indicated that they got 2 new TCW cases along with the 4-way display, sort of as a package deal. (It's not like they got that sweet new 4 way and coincedentally got 2 new cases of Wave 11 to throw up there) This sucks, because once those 2 cases sell through, which generally happens in a matter of HOURS, they really are unable to restock with any more new figures after that.

I've been to 4/5 TRU's within 75 miles of here, and it's the same story every place. They put out 2 cases of Wave 11 for the 4-way, and then nothing. No restocks. The fifth TRU, which ironically is the closest one, is the only one which inexplicably has failed to put up their 4-way display. This is literally my last hope for finding Shirtless Savage and Seripas. Because I know those guys are never showing back up at the 4 TRU's where I already missed them.

I've yet to see a single online store report from anyone who went back and found MORE of these figures at TRU after they initially were stocked. If you blinked, you missed them.  :(

McNabb - 39 yards passing, L

Grossman - 305 yards passing, W

Suck on it, national media.

Our stores put out nothing for the new sale because they just do not want people's money apparently. All this stuff about "Stores have held back stock for this special event" is a load of BS, IMO. It's a wasteland.

Had occasion to road trip this morning up to Northern VA to visit IKEA for a new Billy, and wouldn't you know they have a TRU on the same block. I got there early and was able to snag another Jetpack Rex and Stealth Ops Clone Trooper, plus TWO Saesee Tiins. Nice.

So now I'm just missing Seripas and the re-packed Shirtless Savage from Wave 11, which seems to be the only wave TRU is stocking right now.

I guess the rest are all hitting Walmarts, although I checked at least 3-4 on my way up today and saw nothing even remotely new.

Thanks for the tip about Walgreen's, Nick. I will have to add that to my list of offbeat places to check, like Kohl's or FYE.

Our TRU restocked with another craptacular repack wave of TCW figures that came out last YEAR.  >:(

Because we all really still need that Flamethrower Clone and Jungle ARF Trooper.  ::)

Oh, they also got a fresh box of Rapid Strike REPACKS. Thank God, it's not like I could go out and find that Naboo skiff everywhere for the past eight months.

We've still NEVER gotten the mini Y-Wing here. Never.

The frustration mounts...

Yeah, I hate TRU with a passion right now as well. Their DC is badly neglecting the local stores here. Our closest store still has the 2 CARS 4-way stackers up in front of the massive CLone Wars display. It's been 2 weeks now, they are just desolate.

I did see the Yavin sled for the first time today, but not part of my focus.

It's a great question and something I have thought about myself several times. I frequently come across rare/HTF figures in my hunts and have occasionally bought them and put them up for bid on eBay. Some people would call this scalping but I prefer to think of it as simply relocating the figures from a dusty peg to someone's hands that actually wants it.

In those situations I always try to let the marketplace determine the price. So I would set the starting price at the MSRP and then let the bidding determine the ultimate value. That way you are offering the item for more or less exactly what you paid for it, and if the price goes up it is not your fault, it is simply a function of collector demand.

Where it gets a little tricky is when you start factoring in things like shipping and handling, sales tax, etc. That stuff can vary from state to state, and it can be hard to find just the right balance.

When you think about it, there HAS to be some sort of premium put on the item to cover things like: the cost of the actual shipping package, fuel costs driving to the post office, etc. You can roll that all up under shipping but it does start to add up.

That's pretty much my take. Sometimes eBay restricts how much you can charge for shipping and you are FORCED to jack up the list price just to avoid losing money. I have run into this problem several times shipping records.

Does anyone plan on playing any defense in this game?

LOL @ GB defense being ranked #1 in my fantasy league.
