Wal-Mart Separation of the Twins Figures

I'm happy to hear that we'll be getting Luke and Leia as babies, although I would have liked to see Owen and Beru in one of the sets as well.  The Bail and Obi-Wan will likely be repacks, but hopefully we'll see some sort of new sculpt on them.  Eitherway, it is nice to know that we'll get a chance to get the twins, I didn't think that was real likely.  Hopefully they won't be priced to insanely, and will be easy enough to pick up.

I am still excited to get these, and i have hope they will be done well (i still wish it was owen and beru, but...) but how bad it it going to be when its repacked bail and obi-wan and the 2 babies will be the baby used in the Willow line years back.

Bail will be the same figure that was released earlier. That was said at the Q&A by Hasbro as everyone was leaving.

That pretty much sucks. Heres hoping they do a good job on the babies.

Hmmm, wonder if the Obi-Wan will be new then, or reused sculpt since Bail is?

Bail didn't even wear that outfit while holding the Leia baby as I recall...  That does indeed suck.

I'll probably pick up the Ben Kenobi/Luke one if they use the Pilot Obi-Wan sculpt.

Well, I'm sure I'll get both of these.  I would love to see Kenobi as in the end of ROTS with a hood up, and Bail Organa at the end on Alderaan.  Hopefully the baby figures will be decent...

Agreed, these sets totally slipped my mind.

The biggest test will be to see how they pull off sculpting the babies.

As I've anticipated before:

BEST CASE SCENARIO:  Pilot Obi-Wan with soft goods cloak and uniquely sculpted Baby Luke bundle; Bail Organa (from end of film on Alderaan with the long coat; new sculpt) with uniquely sculpted Baby Leia bundle.

WHAT WE WILL PROBABLY GET:  Jedi Kick (#27) Obi-Wan figure with generic baby bundle that is supposed to be Luke; (#15) Bail Organa ROTS figure or Saga 2003 Bail Organa figure with the same generic baby bundle that is supposed to be Leia.

Reason for the latter?  Hasbro stating at C3 that they had "no plans" for baby Luke or Leia, meaning they would have to come up with these things fairly quickly, and we all know how much effort Hasbro puts into stuff they have to do fairly quickly.  Not to mention that it's an action figure exclusive, and all we really get from those are repaints or translucency in fancy packaging.

If I recall the Hasbro Q&A from Comic Con correctly, the Bail was supposed to be the existing figure with "paint differences". I don't remember what they said about Obi. It seemed like the big deal was the packaging, which was supposed to be a preview of the TSC cards. Hopefully we'll get pics soon... I'll take repacked figures for the baby sculpts.
