As many of you know, my wife Amber and I were supposed to have a little one this month, but for some reason unknown to us she miscarried at 14 weeks back in November.
So, when Amber told me she was pregnant again, we were very excited, but yet extremely cautious for obvious reasons. Well, yesterday we went in to get a sonogram and she's at 9 weeks and our little one is doing fine!! The due date is in December, so this year looks like dad won't be getting his usual birthday hookup with "stuff", but instead with a little one. ;D
We are most excited, yet again, cautious and praying that we don't have to go through another miscarriage.

Congratulations Chris! Our thoughts and prayers are definitely with you in the months ahead, I hope that everything goes perfectly.

Congratulations! That's great news. I bet you are hoping for a boy so you can say the extra star wars toys you buy are really his.
-
Chris,
I know exactly what you are feeling. My wife and I had the same situation. To say the least it totally sucks to loose a baby, but you guys are expecting again and that is great. Congrats. Best of luck.

Congratulations! (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y151/ValinKenobi/Forums/babysmilie1.gif)

Congrats and good luck Chris. The "its for the kid" line is a good one, but only if the toy is vaguely age appropriate (and you aren't using it on your Wife, she will never believe you).

Play the it's for the nephew card works too. Regardless if you have one or not. But with a baby, you get the option of collecting Gallactic Hero's for the kid. I did, and he loves them.

Congrats and good luck! ;D

Congratulations Chris and best of luck to you and your wife, as well as the little one.

I went through the same situation, so I know what you're going through. Congrats and good luck!!

Glad to hear it Chris!

Congratulations, this is fantastic news. Best wishes to you and yours!

Awesome news Chris! Congratulations!

Congratulations Chris! Hope everything goes well this time around!

Very cool news Chris. Soon you'll have a "real" excuse to stop at TRU all the time. ;)

Congrats Chris,
Like many others we have both gone through the same situation. When your new baby is born you'll cherish your child even more than you thought possible. Having a baby will change your life for the better. One thing I found extremely helpful was having a baby backpack. A stroller can be kind of large/limiting at times, but when you put your child on your back you can go anywhere. Plus you'll kind of feel like Luke training on Dagobah. ;D ;D ;D

Congrats, Chris! We're also expecting our first in early December...

This is what I told my wife I wanted...either that or a chest harness. I did tell my wife I want to get a 3 wheeled jogging stroller so I can take the kiddo along with me...maybe even let the dog tag along with us.

Avoid doing back flips and climbing vines though....trust me.

Congratutions Chris. Like others have said I hope everything goes okay this time around.
-
Congratulations Chris - there is nothing like it. Try to not show them any of the SW movies until they're at least 6 months old. ;)

my wife and I have taken Lucas to the State Fair here in MN in this and gotten alot of compliments on it. It is really nice and comes with a shade to keep direct sunlight off of him. Just don't wear necklaces, or have long hair as the kid will grab it and pull.
-
Used to have all 3. A nice hiking baby-backpack, long-hair for my daughter to steer me by, and a necklace for her to pull to get me to stop moving, her ideas as a toddler, not mine. ::)
-
Eh, regardless of hair length those little fingers seem to get a hold. I clip my hair and my 22 month old seems to get purchase just fine.
-
Congratulations to you and your wife! :) Hopefully she is feeling fine and everything will go smoothly for you guys. Keep us posted.

Congrats! :)
