Accessories: The force field chamber thing that held Obi that was included in a TRU BP a few years back that had only repacks of figures that I refused to buy simply for the accessory.

I see another Jango repack, a Clone Wars Obi-Wan repack, a ROTS Aayla repack, a Dooku repack, and a SBD repack (which shouldn't be a surprise since it's not an exclusive set).

What the...how more random can it get? First of all, Dooku never fought in the Battle of Geonosis. The only person that Jango fought was Mace, so either they should have put Mace in there or taken Jango out. And then Obi-Wan and Aayla are the 2 jedi?

Looks like I'll be passing on this. Hasbro could of done without the Dooku. He wasn't even in the arena fighting.

Okay, from the looks of this it includes:
-ROTS Aayla Secura (or the "Mace Windu, Here I Come!" version)
-Clone Wars Obi-Wan (for whatever reason)
-Saga 2002 Final Battle Jango Fett (which was just rereleased late last year in that Jedi vs. Separatists Battle Pack that sold miserably)
-Saga 2003 Geonosian Escape Darth Tyranus (this one is my big "WTF?" moment; you have the Evolutions mold which is as close to perfect for this character as we will ever get, Hasbro, so quit using action feature-laden crap!)
-ROTS/Saga 2002 Super Battle Droid (nonarticulated bendy crap out at the same time as an SA version?)
Oh well, I guess it's better than putting out three pegwarmers/figures we already have along with one new/repainted/interesting figure and charging 25 bucks for it. We have those commemorative tins for that. ;D

Wow. These just seem like some very strange, random choices to me. It's almost like a "What Hasbro will give us" joke. And why the heck are they using CW Obi-Wan?

I'll be getting this, just because I'm obsessed with the Clone Wars/Battle of Geonosis. I also don't have the Dooku or Jango, and I can always use another SBD. I think the Aayla in this pack might mean that the Battle of Felucia set will have Bly and four troopers.(Or something like that.)

Or Bly, 3 troopers, and a Gelagrub. :) It does seem strange to me that they would put Aayla in this pack instead of some other Jedi if she's also in the Felucia one. I just can't see them doing 2 BPs with her in them so close together when she was such a random choice for this one anyway. I doubt they would do a squad of Clones with no one to fight, though, and I don't know who Hasbro would put in besides Aayla.

Well, there were the Clone Attack on Coruscant and Hunt for Grievous battle packs, which were nothing but clones.

Crap , that what this Battle Pack should be called. the only decent fig in this is Aayla Secura, but a Felucia pack is coming, so what they are throwing in the 2003 Saga Version (its crap compared to the ROTS Version) in that one, DUMB.

as for aayla, i totally pictured a better rots jedi like shaak or ki adi in her place in that pack. as for the dam dooku, even if the evo dooku is too hard oh waa boohoo for hasbro to pull off, the ROTS dooku is pretty good, too. two SUPER sculpts out there and they choose this one, that wasn't even in the arena fighting in the first place. as for the SBD,...dam...

I love how they snuck in the CW Obi-Wan. The niteclub Obi would have been a better choice. Plus the Jango, he has already made his BP appearence. A Geo warrior or x2 Red BD would have been better choices.

Saw this one as well today. both this one and the Dagobah were on the shelves at Walmart. It's a new low though for the guy that did what he did to this battle pack. It rates up there on the weird shiite-o-meter. Right up there with the guy that removed the Saga 2 Endor trooper and replaced him with the Saga 1 Endor trooper and returned him. The Jango in the pack was removed and replaced with a Baccara clone minus the Pauldron and Kama but still left the flame missle thingy in there. Definatley weird and really makes me wish I had a camera phone.

Yeah, I just don't understand these people that replace figures. Anyways, I wanted to say that I saw 2 of these BPs this afternoon at Target next to 2 Dagobah BPs. So it looks like these BPs are starting to be put out at different stores.

WHY IN THE SAM HILL DID HASBRO PUT AAYLA SECURA IN THIS BATTLE PACK WHEN SHE'S ALREADY IN THE FELUCIA ONE?!?! Stupid Hasbro. You've got umpteen different Jedi in the arena battle, many of who have been produced before. Why issue the same Aayla Secura in two different battle packs that are on the shelves at the same time?

i also think they couldve put in the ep2 colector tin jango in rather than the saga one. it wouldve made more sense and made this set a lot better. :(

Hasbro addressed the how's/why's they sometimes don't give the mix everyone thinks is "ideal" in their battlepacks in a recent Q&A... It has to do with what molds are at what factories and things. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on that one I think since Battlepacks are (usually) slapped together with cost effectiveness in mind.

I've heard them address this firsthand at Toy Fair and other events where Hasbro exhibits. They've most commonly addressed this when we talk about Basic Figure reissues and you start to understand why one version of a character is chosen over another that collectors might consider to be superior.
But this particular situation seems to me like a case of Hasbro's exclusives group not communicating with their general retail group. There are actually some divisions within Hasbro along these lines. It seems to me as though these groups were not communicating when they were planning out the general release battle packs and the exclusive ones. Especially when you consider all of the Jedi that were in the arena battle that have figures besides Aayla Secura. Look at this:
-Anakin Skywalker
-Kit Fisto
-Plo Koon
-Saesee Tiin
-Luminara Unduli
-Barriss Offee
-Ki-Adi Mundi
-Mace Windu
-Coleman Trebor
-Shaak Ti
-Pablo Jil
-Sora Bulq
-Agen Kolar
-Nikto Jedi (either version)
With that many characters at their disposal that are ready for reissue, this just comes across as very lazy on Hasbro's part.

I wish I could have done the same. I collect everything Hasbro and this pack really just disgusted me for some reason moreso than the others. I started back into collecting around Ep1 so I had to back track. I absouletly loved the Cinema Scene sets, simply because I didn't own most of those figures, but now it's just getting ridicoulus.

The important question is, will this pack and the other pack sit so long that they will make it harder for the Tantive IV pack to hit the shelves?
