Since the J-Slot and L-Slot figures come from the same box, I'm hoping the ratio turns out to be something similar to what the Stormtrooper Han/Luke chase figures were, where they actually ended up being closer to 1:48 by the time it was all said and done.   :)

This is what I'm hoping for also, hopefully they will end up at 1:48 prices + "Boba Fett" tax  ;)

Yeah, my issue with the AT-ST is that you shouldn't be able to see the Kubrick driver inside very well

Driver - nobody mentioned an AT-ST driver yet - chase figure? another wave?  :P

I'm also on the fence about hanging on to the AT-ST. I'll be after the figures but whether I pick them up without the AT-ST parts or trade/sell the AT-ST when in hand I'm not sure  :-\

The landspeeder as the vehicle.

Maybe another Sandtrooper - with a re-release of the black pauldron?

Hammerhead is the one I'd really want.

Received my basic set of 6, Gree and Chase Grievous - was offered the Grievous for $110 (+$12 shipping) so thought it was a good price.

Got my Gree and 4 arm Grievous today!  ;D

That neck on Greivous is wayyyy too freakin tiny. I'm shocked they aren't all arriving snapped.

Luckily for me the seller sent the Chase Grievous very well protected in a small box. I was a bit worried when I read on here about the thin neck.

For those who hven't picked one up yet it is worth asking for the Chase Grievous to be sent in a box rather than the bubble wrap and envelope method that a lot of the Far East sellers use.

My account is set up for CDN and US funds as well, so I'll be sure to convert it to US$ to avoid the seller being dinged for conversion fees.  But it looks like there's no way to avoid the (US) seller from being charged an international transaction fee (since I'm Canadian), even if it's a direct (non-credit) transfer.

My account is set up for GBP £. I've sent 3 payments for $100+ as a gift in the last 6 months. None of the sellers incurred any fees as that was a condition of the sale.

As long as you send the money in the correct currency and as a gift the receiver of the money shouldn't incur any fees (and hasn't in the international transactions I've been involved with). You pick up all the fees with the crappy currency exchange rate and by using gift you get the option to pay the fees before sending the money. If you use gift then you pay less fees if you use balance or bank transfer, using a credit card results in substantially more fees.

Anybody in the UK bought these or anything for that matter from toytokyo? I was wondering what the shipping fees were and if they get hit by customs tax?

On a similar matter is there anywhere in the uk to get these cases from?

The customs fees will be an £8 charge (if it comes through Royal Mail) + 15% VAT on the goods and shipping combined

I haven't bought from them but the shipping price quoted was in the region of $35, so similar to what DSJ was saying as I remember it coming to about £2 per case with shipping (don't forget it was £1=$2 last year) and this was before customs charges and VAT - the customs charges and VAT didn't make it economical to buy them for me. The customs charge and VAT kick in at £18 so even with a good £/$ exchange rate the $37 price point means you will need the $ to do very badly to get cheap cases..........

I haven't found a retail source in the UK but I have picked up some on ebay (both UK and US - the US win was under £18 so didn't incur customs charges) and picked up about 30 cases on here from a UK collector who had a load spare after selling off his collection - so always worth putting a wants in the classifieds.

Insane.  Congrats on winning this - I think you'll be the first of us to get one!

No, not me. Over £100 / $160 for a chase is far too much for me.
