Well ... as he has done all series, Dwyane Wade stole the game from the Nets.  Bring on the Pistons!

Dwyane Wade is a freak.  That first quarter he dropped on the Nets was something to behold.  And he did it so effortlessly.

Here's a pretty good article that compares LeBron and Kobe to Jordan.  Read at your leisure .....

LeBron's closer to Jordan than Kobe

Point is, Kobe will continue to get much better and the Lakers will hopefully mature as a team and be back in the run next year.

I agree that the team will be better next year, but Kobe can only become "much better" by becoming a better teammate.  His skills have already peaked.
Kobe is the "reverse Jordan".  He won his championships early when he had a better team around him (and Jordan never had a Shaq!), and now he's trying to do it all on his own.  He should know that it won't work that way.

i forget the whole list, but the back to backers read something like, bird, jordan, kareem, wilt and shaq.  prior to last year, i wouldn't have even pegged nash as a hall of famer little more worthy of that company.

That's pretty close.  Players who have won back-to-back MVPS:

Bill Russell
Wilt Chamberlain
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Moses Malone
Larry Bird
Magic Johnson
Michael Jordan
Tim Duncan
Steve Nash

Shaq has only once been named MVP, so no back-to-back wins for him.

It is being said that Steve Nash will win his second consecutive MVP award.  I will now light myself on fire.

Any bets on what she weighs?

I'd have to say 107 lbs.

Considering how short she is, she may only be double digits.

Did anyone catch the Cleveland/Miami game today?  The way Wade and LeBron kept going back and forth was just plain awesome.

In all of team sports (college and pro), I really only have one team that I care about ... and that's the North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team.  I also follow Jeff Gordon in NASCAR.  That's about it.  I'm an avid follower of sports, but I just don't care about many teams.

Looks like it was 1.5 million people, 3 million entries, and 4 correct down to this point.

Ah ... I see.  Well, the part about the Sweet 16 is still true.  You could accurately predict who made the Final Four without getting the entire Sweet 16 correct.
I'm just waiting for the day when someone picks a perfect bracket.  It'll never happen, but it would be nice to see.

Our local paper said that there were over 3 million brackets at ESPN.com, and not a single one got the entire Sweet 16 correct.  That's just crazy.

What an amazing night of basketball last night.  It began with Duke getting knocked out of the tournament--though that hurt my office pool, being a die-hard Tar Heels fan, I was ecstatic to see it--and ended with two buzzer beaters.  All I can say is ... wow!

I'm not so sure if Detroit is a lock coming out of the East.  Miami plays them extremely tough, even though they lost to them last night.  Detroit has no answer for Shaq, and Dwyane Wade is capable of changing the pace of an entire series.  I still think that Detroit's the favorite to come out of the East, but a lot can happen in a seven game series.
