Star Wars Dioramas and Displays / Re: Muftak's Custom Shelf Displays
« on: February 21, 2008, 02:09 AM »
He's back!!!

Muftak, it's great to see you around.  I really like these new displays.  You've definitely captured a unique look that mirrors the various locations each shelf represents.  Great work!  I really like the detail on the piping in the cantina and the wall patterns on the imperial display.

I'm so glad about the first two choices.  We need a new Episode I Obi-Wan, and Kitster and Wald are relatively important characters.

That's a really great idea, especially the Jedi for a Jedi Temple diorama.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: CHEWIE's CUSTOMS updated 7.07.06

The San Hill head looks really well on that body.  Besides your wonderful painting skills, one of your finest techniques is figuring out which parts from various figures can match up to create a new character.

Also, I really like the Naboo diorama that was made for you.  I hope to see it in future photonovels.  The use of the Vintage Power Droid is a nice touch.  Also, is that a Padmé custom?  It looks like a simple head swap that I've thought about doing myself.  Keep it up, and don't be discouraged by lack of replies sometimes.

I really like Screed.  It's very inventive to take a cartoon character and make him or her look "real."  You've done a great job.  Nice combination of parts!

CHEWIE, I love how it reminds me of the Vintage Troop Carrier.

Great job!

Photonovels and Movies / Re: RE #21 - The Chancellor's Gift

There are so many wonderful details here. I really like the interaction beween Rykrof and the bartender.   He had a very natural reaction to her comment about his capture.  I also really like the Rodian, Duros, and Mon Calamari Senator customs.  Great use of other bodies!  Also, the plot was wonderful as usual.  Palpatine's dialogue is particularly in character.  I like how he plays the wife card that he used with Anakin on Rykrof.  I also like how he dismisses him with an executive order.  He's so evil.

Also, the R2 unit with the drink rack was another great little detail.  I was completely surprised when the worn down Valorum showed up.  This is turning out to be a great series.  I can't wait to see when the plot catches up with Episode III.  I was especially intrigued by what Bail and Mon Mothma said.

Excellent work!

I don't know how Owen does it.  That's remarkable work, especially with the controls behind R2 and 3PO.  Some electronic lights in the walls would make it even better, and it's just about perfect now!

He really does look like a stern, military commando.  Great work on a more casual costume.

Rodger, it's great to see you around.  I can't wait for some updates from the Sandcrawler!

That photography turned out very nicely.  I like it a lot!  The real sand makes a big difference in selling the pictures.  Also, I really like that one alien with the Jawas.

I posted on this elsewhere, but that's some wonderful work, especially in its concept.  It's a great idea.  Blind Jedi just seem to work, especially given the blast shield training.  It almost seems that a Jedi would want a blindfold (even if not blind) to increase their Force focus.

Again, great work (especially on the sculpt of the blindfold)!

I love the Bail and Mon Mothma shot.  Nice variation on him with the Palpatine cloak.  I love to see their interaction and missed in the movie, so I look forward to it in your photonovels.

Also, great "cloning" techniques on that last picture.

Customs Community and Group Projects / Re: other sites
« on: March 11, 2006, 04:58 PM »
I'm mainly at Rebel Scum and probably will usually be.  However, this customizing community is far better than right now at least in terms of replying to posts.  I really like JD, but there's not a custom dioramas board, and that's my specialty, so I'll probably continue to be focused over there.

I'm also a member of The Jawa and Galactic Hunter, but there's little activity there.  Gregaborian keeps The Jawa going and Niub Niub occasionally posts at GH.
